The Long March (a TNO-sequel Comintern quest)

[X] Immediate intervention (costs 15 lp and potentially causes ?? or ??)

A little weary of going all in, but I think in this case the situation warrants it. I'm willing to change my vote if a suitable write-up happens though.

"Vojislav Šešelj is a Serbian politician and convicted war criminal. He is the founder and president of the far-right Serbian Radical Party (SRS). Between 1998 and 2000, he was the deputy prime minister of Serbia." -wikipedia

We need to shoot this guy.

I'm thinking of full intervention in collaboration with the federal government and local anti-fascist groups

So ladies, gents, and all other designations, what do you feel would be the decent points a write-in for this situation should cover? I'm willing to work on the wording myself if no one else will, but I can never work well without someone to bounce ideas off. I need to talk to someone about this to get ideas.

Basically, I think Alexandria does need to send boots on the ground to continue signalling that this kind of stunt is unacceptable and they will crack down on it hard. But local organizations should be utilized and emphasized in the intervention to show to the world that this isn't some kind of move by Alexandria to basically annex one of the constituent states of the Internationale. But rather, this is a continued commitment of Alexandria to the principles of the Communist Internationale.

That could work as a start to think over. Thank you BurnBright! :D
Maybe bypass the Yugoslav government to coordinate local groups with limited IRB deployment to Serbia.

So something like
Deploy IRB forces to intervene in Serbia immediately. Elsewhere, utilize COIN and IRB resources to coordinate local partisan groups until the Yugoslav Federal Government can reconvene.

The update mentions the Pan-Balkan Red Brigades and the Yugoslav Revolutionary League as local groups that have stepped up to fight these reactionaries when the Federal government can't. Don't know if it's worth including them in potential write-in.

In my current draft, I've mentioned them in general terms (Communist-aligned organizations) though not by name since I don't want to exclude other similar groups we may encounter. Currently I'm working on a format that's three planks.

Plank one is the IRB stuff. I'm working on the wording but the gist of it is to get Yugoslav approval and coordination when we can but don't wait on it. Instead establish safe zones to coordinate with said local friendly organizations as well as the extant operable constituent republics a front to put down all fascist organizations and coupists, which the greater Yugoslav government would be free to join in on once operable.

Second plank is the humanitarian aspect of organizing proper logistics, resources, and safety for those affected by this upheaval, especially those minorities placed in great danger.

Third plank is deploying the IOJ's police force (the International Office of Justice if you guys don't remember that organization) to launch an investigation on not only the coupists and fascists but also looking into the general causes and management leading up to the event as areas become safe and are reclaimed. Said information can be useful for the Comintern government following the crisis when we decide how best to act alongside the governments of Yugoslavia itself for any potential reforms* and the depth of corruption already exposed. I'm also considering including a bit of any captured known high-ranking fascists to be moved out of Yugoslavia to IOJ prisons for security concerns - not wanting potentially compromised agents to free them and lengthen the crisis if they were held in Yugoslavia while the crisis continues - until the end of the crisis, after which permission would be asked of the Yugoslavia government for the IOJ to prosecute them in international court rather than Yugoslav courts.

Of course, all of this would have to be workshopped both to be effective, emphasize it more as a collaborative effort rather than running completely roughshod over uncompromised governments, and to fit under the 150 word limit.

*mind you, the investigation would be limited to just gathering information since this vote isn't really about reforming Yugoslavia, just how best to put down the immediate paralysis and coups right now

So, we've got two different reactionary uprisings/coup d'états happening on two of the Comintern's funding members, all happening roughly around the same time? Well, it seems like the Culinary Institute of America has been cooking something, and it smells funny.

We need to raise our Intelligence Agency's budget ASAP. Something like this can't be allowed to happen again.

Don't overthink it, right now getting out an alternative quickly is important.

This work?

[X] United Front Intervention
- [X] Seek Yugoslavia's permission and operational coordination when possible, but do not delay for it. Deploy IRBs with COIN support to establish safe zones from which to coordinate with local friendly organizations and constituent republics of Yugoslavia a united front advancing against coupist and fascist forces throughout Yugoslavia and keep currently-unaffected republics secure from more potential coups and uprisings
- [X] Immediately bring international humanitarian aid and crisis relief to aid those affected by this uprising and address any damage as affected areas of Yugoslavia are secured
- [X] Deploy IOJ police forces to open a full investigation into the root causes of this crisis and ways in which the Comintern can address it once the immediate emergency has passed. Likewise arrest, when possible, and move high-ranking fascists out of state to be prosecuted in Yugoslav or international court after the crisis's end.

It's at 150 words exactly, counting the plan name too.

@StarMaker764 Assuming the others like it as a final version, is this write-in acceptable?

COIN wouldn't be involved in establishing safe zones. I'd reword it to make it clear it's role is supporting sympathetic partisan groups

Done, though I don't think that particularity really needs to be said since I'm pretty sure Starmaker knows why COIN is supposed to be there regardless of the grammatical ambiguity. I have a word limit to work within after all. My asking if it works was more asking if you were fine with the policies presented, not with the wording of it. :V

Enemy has rised the flag of reaction - it is time to smach the counterrevolution.

Not a fan of write-in.

This has CIA written all over it - time to stack bodies like firewood.
