Troll Quest (Warhammer Fantasy Monster Rising Quest)

[X] Gift of Tongues: The caster can speak and understand any language they can hear.
[X] Stealth: Makes the caster harder to hear and see.
[X] Suppress Mutation: By calling upon your Gods, you can attempt to suppress a minor mutation from manifesting. Can be used only as the mutation is manifesting. Manifested mutations cannot be healed.
[X] Land-Rider: The caster preaches the land for passage, and the land answers, shortening distances. As long as the spell is maintained, the caster moves at double the speed of a horse.
[X] Power of Earth: Summoning the power of the Land, you energize your being with it, increasing your physical or mental capabilities and making yourself more resistant to curses and sickness.

EDIT: As an aside @boredblues you may want to, in time, institute moratoriums, to make sure people can put together plans after some discussion instead of instantly going pedal to the metal in hopes of getting early traction.

We are a troll. Minor injuries do not exist for us. Like, the most freakish examples have trolls continuing to heal after being chopped up, cooked (poorly),eaten and in process of digestion.
That is very special case even in this very quest we encountered Trolls getting killed in a very mundane way, such as fuckton of large rocks falling on them and clearly, healing is still useful for us, otherwise Boredblues wouldn't give us healing spells as a option. Also we might gain non-Troll allies in the future.

Yes, but being pasted by an avalanche is not a minor injury so i question the necessity of healing spells of minor potency. If you get your hands on regrowth, sure, go for it.

I do admit there is clear plus if we get non-troll mates to our party but i dunno.

We are not exactly the greatest example of trolldom in this but like. I wouldn't concern ourselves with self-cast healing.
Healing usually takes time if we can soeed it up it will be usefull

No it doesn't! As a matter of fact, Troll healing is so potent that it is, in effect, a saving throw enabling them to heal from even mortal wounds so long as they were not dealt by fire!

We are a troll. We are by nature not very clever (even if we picked all the int options), nobody really likes us that much, and we are not particularily agile.

But we are a troll! We are stronger than pretty much anything that is smaller than us (i know that we have a low str. score, but its low for a troll. The weakest silverback gorilla will still beat a human in contest of strenght), we are tough as nails, and we can regenerate wounds that would outright kill anything else in manner of minutes.

We have normal troll regeneration...not ridiculous one.
Ridiculous troll regeneration is the one where you keep on regenerating when someone cut you up, cooked you and ate you. Even normal troll can regenerate grievious bodily wounds without any issue whatsoever, its a basic characteristic of their entire race.

EDIT: There is a common fandom joke about getting two trolls by cutting one in a half and letting the remains regenerate. I imagine that thats not possible for us, but mostly because its locked behind the actual potent regeneration boon we did not pick. So sure yeah we can't do that, but as long as we do not lose limbs, we are fine pretty quickly. Unless we start speaking about actual battlemagic level healing spells like regrowth, or if we pick so solely to heal potential future non-troll allies, there is not much point in picking spells that have "minor" healing effects.

On Troll regeneration
I am tamping down on the ridiculous levels Troll regeneration can reach in Fantasy. Mostly:
Normal Troll regeneration: Light wounds close handily enough in a matter of hours, heavy wounds take a week or more, and crippling wounds take up to a month or more.
Superior Troll regeneration: Light wounds close in a matter of minutes, heavy wounds heal in a few days, crippling wounds heal in a few weeks.
Freaky Troll regeneration: Light wounds close in a matter of seconds, heavy wounds heal in a matter of hours, even crippling wounds disappear in a few days.

Regeneration can be a double-edge sword as well, since it lowers the body's resistance to mutations while it's happening, more so if aided along by bursts of Winds or Chaos energy. Troll healing practices revolve around keeping those at bay rather than helping the wounded Troll to actually heal. So, magical, safer healing to be used in a snap can be useful, even for a Troll.

That cutting a Troll in half bit is actually possible, but only in lands heavily infested by Chaos energy, and the result will be less of a Troll and more of a walking mass of random mutations.

does Crippling wounds include limb loss?

I expected some manner of touch up on the extent of it yeah because canon troll regeneration is insane lmao. Guess its good that we learned the extent of it early on. In light of that yeah, even relatively minor healing could prove helpful. Though maybe instead keeping mutation at bay might be better for us specifically? Because that passive regeneration is always going on? Thought i dunno how much of a concern that is.

You guys will always know if a regenerating wound is a danger for mutation.

[X] Gift of Tongues: The caster can speak and understand any language they can hear.
[X] Petty Beastfriend: A small creature (no larger than a dog) becomes friendly towards the caster.
[X] Suppress Mutation: By calling upon your Gods, you can attempt to suppress a minor mutation from manifesting. Can be used only as the mutation is manifesting. Manifested mutations cannot be healed.
[X] Mercy of the Land: You infuse a target with life-giving energies, healing minor wounds and restoring vigor.
[X] Spirit Guide: With a prayer, the caster summons a nature wisp to ask for advice. The spirit is weak and inconstant and will be able only to provide basic help, like directions.

[X] Plan: Magical Pillar of the Community
- [X] The Garden of Life Beneath: A bizarre place filled with mineral lifeforms. Wander around, taste the place, and learn its peculiarities.
-- [X] You could ask about it to someone, but it could mean having to share the secret if you aren't subtle. Write who you talk to [Hela]
- [X] Magic-Training: You have the Glimmer, you know it. Find someone who can teach you to harness it.
-- [X] Hela the Hag: She looks sad, but you need a teacher. Ask her.
- [X] My stuff: The long travel left you with little, but you still have something in your satchel. Organize your items and see what is good and what is not.
- [X] My stuff now: Nobody asked you about the Giant Troll's satchel, and you were quick to squirrel it away. Take a look inside.
- [X] Doubts and uncertainties: Overseers are said to wield strange powers. How do you trust the gifts of one, and a shifty one to that? Take a look at the mail and helm with your arcane senses.
- [X] How do you bring change without support? Older Trolls won't listen to a Frumm, but the same is not for those of your age. Rustle the youth and start kindling some connections.
- [X] No need to indulge. Your mama and papa taught you better. Eat normally. (Consume 3 units of Squig Meat)

Okay, here is my Plan.

If we want to uplift Troll-Kind, we need people to listen to us. And the best way to do it, is to become somebody very useful to have araound. So the Spells we should learn first are "support" spells, stuff that will have other Trolls seek our help for many different reasons. Be it healing, informations or taming animals.

And since i don't think experimenting with magic without a teacher is safe, i say we seek out Hela the Troll Hag, so we can pontentialy acquire a useful ally and a magical teacher.

Then, we also finish those actions abaout organizing our items, i think those we should take as soon as possible so they don't fill our back log and we waste actions later.

We also study the "gifts" of the Overseer, because i absolutely don't trust the guy.

And we start some networking with the other young Trolls in the Cave.

I changed the order, but what do you mean by dashes? Sorry, English is not my first language.
this "-" symbol. Also, as it is right now, you've made a spell list plan :D
you just want to do a list of the spells you want, like so:

[X] Gift of Tongues: The caster can speak and understand any language they can hear.
[X] Stealth: Makes the caster harder to hear and see.
[X] Suppress Mutation: By calling upon your Gods, you can attempt to suppress a minor mutation from manifesting. Can be used only as the mutation is manifesting. Manifested mutations cannot be healed.
[X] Earthshard Bolts: The mage sharpens pebbles and grit into razor-edged shards, then hurls them at enemies as a volley of earthen projectiles. These shards can pierce unarmored targets and even chip away at metal plates over time.
[X] Power of Earth: Summoning the power of the Land, you energize your being with it, increasing your physical or mental capabilities and making yourself more resistant to curses and sickness.

Anything else messes up the tally.
