Divergent Codex: The Revised History of the First Contact War (Mass Effect)

We do kinda need the Mars Archives at the bare minimum. An extra century would give us a huge edge with just the normal outpost, but I'm fine taking a military installation in exchange for a longer FCW.

Let's not go spending our DP too quickly

I don't necessarily want to see the crater, but just following the canon isn't that interesting either. The military facility is way too expensive. I think this option offers the best compromise.

Do you guys want to become a Client State of the Turian Hierarchy? Because that is how you become a client state of the Turian Hierarchy...
Edit: How many million of people do you want so see enslaved guys?!We need technological parity with them or we are screwed (Just take a look at the First Gulf War or the Six-Day War)

Besides that not having access to the Crucible plans is a TERRIBLE IDEA

There's a difference between having a rough start and completely rawdogging the setting.

Exactly and choosing a [] …a ruined crater. (+5 DP) is choosing to have a significantly lower tech level than a Galactic Superpower whose only hat is their military strenght when you are going to enter a war with them...

What do they think that is going to happen? If history has taught that anything is that it never ends well for the low-tech guys...

By the way, I would suggest you and @CanYouMeme to add [] …a sizable research station. (Canon) (+0 DP) as approval vote, if only so that the Crater option doesn't win

It gives us inspiration on where to go and enough freedom to be creative without being crippled. Ruined crater basically makes us the Batarians play things and I don't want tens of millions to be enslaved

We have to make up the deficit somehow, and given that our first choice means that humanity had more than two centuries to R&D what they do have, up to having several interstellar nations, the impact shouldn't be too bad.

The most advanced species of the ME Galaxy is still piggybacking on their Prothean outpost, despite having been a space-faring species for a couple of thousand years...

Getting a decent Prothean outpost is EXTREMELY important...

Do we need a reminder that if humanity doesn't have at least a little bit of eezo tech we're going have millions of humans snatched by slavers? We don't need to make up the deficit this way, the costs outweigh the gains too significantly when we could easily make it up through one or two omakes.

Mostly thinking about the crucible. Though curious what the military installation would go.

Not having access to the crucible feels like it should give a lot more than +5.
