[X] Proto Plan
I'm honestly hoping for the possibility of us actually working with Sony if the opportunity still presents itself.
That is a potential backup plan if things dont diverge too much. Ideally plan a is to do well enough to stand on our own, but plan b is if nintendo has the OTL split with sony to try and grab them for building the next generation. But with several years before that happens in quest things might change.I'm honestly hoping for the possibility of us actually working with Sony if the opportunity still presents itself.
Yeah both are interesting options, and while I am keeping an eye down the road we also probably want to account for how things are perceived right now. And more arcade crossover is going to make the SEGA heads happy given how important that is at least in JP.So go with the "Mega Tech Mark II" for arcades or one of the Multipacks?
...Kinda want to vote for the Mega Tech Mark II option personally.
Either way can unlock a permanent perk.
So would taking Mega Tech Mark II then be a good ideal or just go for waiting for a better opportunity?Yeah both are interesting options, and while I am keeping an eye down the road we also probably want to account for how things are perceived right now. Yeah I would love to hear others opinions as both seem to be good. Not sure what other people's thoughts on which to prefer would be...
Want to say it's currently leaning twords Mega Tech Mark II so far. Suppose have to wait and see if anyone else during the time the votes open for comments on the matter.Yeah I would love to hear others opinions as both seem to be good.
If i dont hear anything from others right now the mentions have been for mega tech mark II so that would be the add in.
My big thought on including the Master Base, and 4Play adapter into the base unit is that the already OG Genesis brick is about to become a Chonky block. And won't revert to a smaller brick until technology slims down... So OTLs 95-96 Mini Geni. The upscaler releasing a year ahead of schedule won't help with block appearance. But would put Nintendo on the back foot of us already being capable of 32 bit about the time they release their 16 bit answer to our current console.
... Also watch Nintendo change the OTL Super to a 4 player because we've already shown that 4Play significantly expands the available library. Heck, they'll probably delay Super Famicom/NES just to release a 32 bit capable system in an attempt to jump ahead of us. Only to release two or so years to late. Well, unless they actually had 4D chess brains back then... then their Super might be 32 bit from the start, and could release simultaneously with ours.
{Edit}The sheer change to the Gaming scene that's going to be with us already being 32 bit by 91, and a not insignificant chance of Nintendo trying to jump ahead to match us. Capcom's Mega Man 6 and 7, plus Mega Man X would/are going to be seriously different. For 16 bit games that stand out in my memory.
Was the TurboGrafx-16 really that big in the US and Europe? I grew up in Asia, so I honestly have zero idea. There were a lot of games from Sega that were converted into PC-Engine games

For some odd, inexplicable reason (because I actually have no first-hand experience with them), I'm also fiercely hoping that the Mega CD and 32X will succeed in this timeline.
