Italia Divided - a Roman Alternate History Auest

Plan: March of the Republicans

[X] Divide into Administrative Divisions: dividing our nation into administrative divisions would make governing this nation a lot easier (Rome would be divided into administrative divisions, each with equal autonomy and rights, thus making administration easier)
[X] Popularize Parchment: writing things would be better if we used more parchment than papyrus (Rome would slowly make more use of parchment throughout the 3rd century bc, allowing for more corrections than papyrus and being able to be used in places where papyrus is rare)
[X] Improve Boats: we have improved our navy, we must improve our merchant ships as well (merchant ship designs would be improved with some inspiration from the Carthaginian designs, now being able to hold more cargo over longer distances)
[X] Help Them Out: we should help our ally spread the ideals of democracy (Rome would send a few fleets to help the Achaean League achieve their goal of liberating Greece, incompatible with Don't Help Them Out)
[X] Install Multiple Republics: what is better than 1 republic? Multiple republics (the Achaean League would install democratic republics in the territory it conquers, increasing the number of allies it has, incompatible with Secure Territory)

Easier administration of the Republic, better and cheaper paper for the bureaucracy, B O A T for expanding trade and gaining experience for when we build our navy.

On the foreign policy side of things, I chose Help Them Out and Install Multiple Republics.

Obviously, we help our newfound allies in spreading democracy to the peoples of Hellas.

Exactly what I want. I fixed the plan format too.

Rolling for Etruscan invasion: 50 (the Etruscans did not invade Rome)

236 bc
Rome has organized its bureaucracy and governance more efficiently with the creation of provinces, administrative divisions of equal autonomy and rights, each headed by a governor, along with the use of parchment, a better and cheaper alternative to papyrus, making way for a more efficient bureaucracy, in addition, much of the Roman merchant ships have been redesigned and improved in order for them to carry more cargo over longer distances, the foreign affairs side of things, Rome has been helping their allies, mainly the Achaean League, in the spread of democracy and liberty, creating vassal republics in the territory the Achaean League has conquered, such as Argos and Athens

Internal Affairs: so far, your alliance is growing and growing, and things are looking up and up, hopefully you keep this streak up (select 2 choices)

[ ] Develop the Gladius: we could follow the Greek example of the Xiphos and develop our own swords (the gladius would be developed and ready to be used in battle by 225 bc)

[ ] Increase Literacy: our nation could use more literacy for our citizens (more schools, mainly ones inspired by those at places like Athens, would pop up at Rome, greatly increasing literacy for its citizens by 210 bc)

[ ] Political Reform: we could really shake up our political system (reform would occur in the political system of Rome)
- [ ] Write-In Vote (you put a reform that you believe would benefit Rome, whether it relates to consuls, the senate, or the many assemblies and magistrates)

There's a write-in vote below the political reform option telling what political reform you believe would benefit the nation
