[X] Claim that we are among the last surviving descendants of fabled Azlant. We were guided here by the spirits of our ancestors, and just as we arrived to take possession of the treasures they left for us, the Dragon swooped in from the sky and carried them off. -[X] Kori casts Channel Vigor, choosing the Spirit effect, Mina casts Heroism on him, and Sirim casts Bestow Insight using Shadow Enchantment, for a total Bluff bonus of +29. --[X] Mina uses her Fortune Hex on Kori to give him a reroll on his Bluff check.
[x] Warn it that there are demons about. There were wicked fey too, but they are rather busy now since you killed their leader. He wasn't that hard to best (Akorian bluff ???)
[X] Claim to be an expert in Azlant and offer to identify the treasures within with greater precision that the auctioneer could (Akorian Knowledge Azlant ???)
[X] Ask it what it's doing down here for you have never heard of a dragon so great as him before (Sirim Diplomacy DC ???) -[X] Sirim casts Bestow Insight on himself using Shadow Enchantment, Mina casts Heroism on him, and Kori casts Guidance, raising his Diplomacy bonus to +20. --[X] Mina uses her Fortune Hex on Sirim to give him a reroll on his Diplomacy check.
[X] D. All of the above. -[X] Ask it what it's doing down here for you have never heard of a dragon so great as him before (Sirim Diplomacy DC ???) -[X] Warn it that there are demons about. You claim ownership of the treasure, which has a good chance to go badly. How about you change "take possession of the treasures" to "study the treasures"?

What about this? It just removes that part and leaves it open to the Dragon's assumptions.

Saying that you arrived here to take possession of the things the dragon claimed has been mentioned.
But also, the treasures weren't "left for us". Their former owners traded it to the villagers for food and supplies, and the dragon is aware of this. We have no claim even to the right to see them, other than "we would like to".
Otherwise... isn't it just a modified third vote, trying to get a look at the items by presenting ourselves as something more than a curiosity collector? It was one that I wouldn't mind voting myself, but I went with introducing ourselves as warriors of note, to better sell a possible confrontation resolution between the dragon and caravan guards.

I don't want to flex at the Dragon about our battle prowess. If comes down to a fight, let it be a surprise that we aren't pushovers.
At best, we can buff our Knowledge check for Azlanti lore to +20, but we already saw the DC for the Mind Core was 35. That's probably the DC that will matter if we go that route.
We could Bluff about the probability of nearby Demons, but that doesn't feel relevant to why we would be here, at this place and time, speaking to the Dragon about Azlanti treasure. We need a reason to be here that makes sense, IMO, and claiming to have been lead here by our ancestors fits. I removed the part of my plan that called for us immediately claiming ownership of the treasure.
The Dragon's +17 Sense Motive bonus is high, but our Bluff bonus on +29 gives us a good chance to convince it of our story, and we also have a couple rerolls built into my plan in case they're needed. It would take some seriously shitty luck for three +17 Sense Motive vs +29 Bluff rolls to go in the Dragon's favor.
So the intention of your vote is to have us buff up and try to identify the AI core?
I hope we get an oppertunity to warn about the demons, and Gavhaul - that was my preference - but at least this vote is less likely to have the dragon feel socially obligated to attack us because we claimed the stuff it stole.
[X] Goldfish
Also, this vote goes down the 'curiosity' avenue, which I think will resonate with the dragon most.

"What are you doing?" The gleam of silver fire in the serpentine sclera marks its second sight as Mina gets off her spell of encouragement. Of course it would be looking....
"Skilled though I may be, great one, I am but one mortal man. Thine quarries deserve more than a passing mortal eye upon them," you hasted to mortar the lapse over with flattery to which the dragon... preens. It seems absurd to apply the term to such a terror, able to rend dwarfish warriors in full armor limb from limb in half dozen heartbeats, but tis uncannily like a spider-lizard in courting season. Making sure to bury that thought deep, you continue: "My people, whom the surface-dwellers call Caligni, are among the last descendants of Lost Azlant, and it was their spirts that guided me to this place." A faerie's truth, but truth just the same. You have heeded the voices of the old ones, those locked in the pendant to reach this place, just as it was their shades which lead you to the controls which may have started all this in that vault.
"Verily? And did thy forebears speak of Celoria the Wise, Daughter of Irorlas the Dreamer, Son of Rezallian the God Sworn?"
Of those names only one is known to you and it is the last, whispered by soft voices as if in a dream: companion of Acavna, Lady of the Moon, who never faltered in any contest when her mistress called, be it in shoring up the protections of a faltering colony against the serpent-kin or racing the sun itself across the sky to cleave in twine its fel charioteer.
"Are you of that line, lady fair in raiment of silver?" you ask with something nearer sincerity, not that the dragon herself should be able to tell.
Akorian Bluff: 1d20+17 +2 (Heroism) = 24 vs Dragon Sense Motive: 1d20+17 = 23 Akorian Bluff: 1d20+29 (Skill & Buffs) = 33 vs Dragon Sense Motive: 1d20+17 = 22
Akorian Lore (Azlanti) (DC 20): 1d20+5+2 (Heroism) = 22 (Success)
"Celoria is mine moder and I am Sylestrix, berer of many grete names that it wolde take to long to teche thee in, so thou hast my leve, mortal, to calle me thus."
Recalling the names of the fey on the manner of the dragon's age, that it might be even younger than you and your companions, though you very much doubt that, but now is not the time to argue. Instead you give a bow, and the others following suit as soon as they see what you're doing, even Cob, though you worry he might overbalance and fall in the unaccustomed gesture.
"Wit this, thou courteous folk," it... or rather she, you can guess that much from the shape of her name carries on. "I was yiven a task to recover a thing of great worth which was set among the firmament in the passing of thy ancestors' realm, that which is key to many a locks that should remain undisturbed and counsel in perilous things without recourse to wisdom. These other baubles I take for mine own as payment for the journey and the foes I have no doubt made. Thou knowest what befouls the fair face of the moon, dost thou not?"
"Demons," Gorok says, his bluntness giving weight to the word. "They followed you and it down from the sky."
"Yes," she sighs. "I shal nat speke more of this lest it lead thee into temptacioun, unles... hmm, woldest thou mortals have an interest in aiding me agayns the accursed, to restore the vowe that ones bound silver wanderer and mortal blood as one?"
What do you answer?
[] Yes, hard to think of a fight more worthy than one against demons
[] Ask for a reward, she had plenty to give from
-[] Some of the treasure: Write in what
-[] Her aid in a battle of your choosing
[] Refuse, you are not here to make more deathless foes
Managing Sylestrix is going to be a pain, I can already tell. Bad enough to be so prideful, but her actuality being powerful and intelligent on top of that is a recipe for headaches.
Having her help with a future battle would be nice, but the logistics of arranging that sounds unpleasant. If we handle things well, we might be able to get her help dealing with Gavhaul as part of the Demon slaying. After all, he is dealing with some sort of antagonistic bound Outsider, from what we overheard earlier.
Of course, the real prize is that Mind Core, but I don't think now is the time to bring that up.
[X] Yes, hard to think of a fight more worthy than one against demons, but we have journeyed far, risked much, and spent considerable resources to reach this point.
-[X] Ask for a portion of the 'baubles' she claimed as recompense for her services. They may be trivial trinkets for one of her grandeur, but to us they are wondrous relics of our ancestors and a reminder of what was lost with the fall of Azlant.
--[X] Rather than outright listing what we want, Kori will try to convince Sylestrix to part with as much of the treasure as she is willing to give up, to better equip ourselves and our companions for the challenges ahead. At a minimum, he'll try to get another Launcher, one of the Djezet Skin armors, a Shining Wayfinder, a Vial of Efficacious Medicine, a container of Restorative Ointment, at least one pair of each type of spectacles, and two sets of Muleback Cords.
Nah, it's not that sort of issue. We just have to be careful about our interactions with a strange Dragon. Sylestrix appears to be relatively good-natured, but Lunar Dragons are Chaotic Neutral by default and there is a lot of wiggle room in there we have to account for.
I don't want to fight her if we can help it, and I would like to remain on friendly terms with her as well, so that means we have to plan for our team up to not end on a bad note.
[X] Ask for a reward, she had plenty to give from
-[X] Her aid in a battle of your choosing
Best case we can swing it so we help her against Gavhaul, instead of the other way around. Then we'd still have the favor free against the Dwarfhold.
I don't care for the minor items of the haul, after all we are already good with loot from the Fey and thieves and we can expect rewards for keeping the Azlanti loot away from Gavhaul ( pathinder-shinies) and from the hostile fey (simple chash).
Plus possibly a share of the Adamantine.
Asking a Dragon to reduce her already tiny hoard would be the worst way to make profit here.
Well, at least convo is going good and we have a common enemy
@Goldfish no chance to maybe get at magical AI core?
And since we are working together with dragon, should we not tell her what we know so far? Like Alderman being possessed and now replaced by dmeon? That fey want AI-core for whatever reason? That we killed fey lord that was after it?

Well, first things first. What is she talking about here?
Where does the core fall into this? She says she was given a task to recover a 'key', but the core isn't that key, is it? The Azlanti gave it away willingly and left; and it didn't seem to hold that great of a value to them. The dragon then refers to the items she got as 'baubles'. The help she wants from us is supposed to aid in that recovery, which is not yet complete, or so it reads to me, at least.
I wonder just who gave her that task she speaks of.
For the moment our goals coincide. We want demons our of the inheritance race for a multitude of reasons, and we have interest in disturbing 'many a lock'. I hope that we may prove trustworthy enough to share what Sylestrix knows, and we'll see where to go from there.
