[X] The Rogue Prince

Just reading the history books Daemon is a complete badass and had an epic death.

He also looked out for his brother and did the things that he couldn't or wouldn't do.

Yeah, The Rouge Prince has an absolutely exciting life based on the history books. Blackfyre...didn't accomplish much really.

Dragonknight could be great alternative as he is like the peak of what it means to be a knight but I now lean towards Rouge Prince as that should lead us to a more exciting character.

[X] Daemon Blackfyre - Second son of Aegon IV... that anyone knows of, anyway. Peerless Warrior, dauntless knight and a warlord who brought the dynasty to its knees before wicked sorcery was used to cut him down. People question his intent and curse his name today, but that's only because he lost. Even the worst of his detractors do not deny that the man was larger than life, without compare in almost anything he cared to try his hand at.

A bit meta, but this will make the Rebellion extremely interesting

[X] Baelon the Brave- Second son of Jaehaerys the Conciliator, Baelon is famed for striking Balerion the Black Dread in the snout as a child. Flying alongside his beloved brother, Aemon, and his father he helped crush an invading dornish navy before it could make landfall. They won a battle without losing a man! After his brother was felled, he avenged him before being hailed as the Prince of Dragonstone. Everyone expected Baelon to be a great king in his turn, yet the Stranger claimed him for his own before he could ascend to the throne.

I'm surprised by all the votes for Baelon. He's not a bad choice at all in many ways. Seems like a kind man that knew when to take decisive action. Not sure how good of a warrior he is but at least he was good enough to use dragons to wreck his enemies. He was also capable of controlling his indulgences to an extent. He was said to be lusty but had enough control to resist Viserra's attempts to seduce him after his wife had died. Alysanne said that he would be an even greater king than his father. Guy has a fair bit going for him certainly and he would indeed make for an interesting character to look up to.

The Rogue Prince? Oh boy. He's the FUN option. Dude had a wild life full of adventure and conflict. Flawed. Yes. Conquered the Stepstones but lost interest in them. Ambitious. Aemon can certainly do worse than Daemon as a role model. And heh, I'm imagine it'll be the role model that offers the most interesting interactions with everyone going forward. Probably the choice that lets us have the most interesting adventures/quest.

Blackfyre....a supremely talented warrior yes. But also someone that rebelled against the king. Probably not the wisest role model when living under Aerys lol. I'd be extremely wary of thinking that something like Robert's Rebellion will happen in the same scenario as in the books. And that means having a rebellious role model is probably unwise. Then again...Blackfyre had to be convinced to even rebel. Seems relatively okay as a character. Very charismatic...enough so that he created a cause that resulted in multiple Blackfyre rebellions.

[X] Daemon Blackfyre

Having Cruelty as trait would have been good considering he seems to view Cersei of all people as sister.

Really? Not trying to throw shade, just... it's kinda funny how people can take the same situation and arrive at opposite results.

You say this, meanwhile from where I'm looking Aerys is going to Aerys, a rebellion is inevitable sooner or later. Or rather, hardly any Targaryen king's ever needed to be toppled as much as Aerys will need to be brought down, and it'll probably be via rebellion. We might as well have the correct mindset for it.

Yes, Aerys will Aerys. How that plays out is completely up in the air at the moment. Expecting canon situation to occur is unwise. We also have our sister marrying Rhaegar. For all we know we're on team Aerys/Rhaegar in a theoretical civil war. Yes, we might need to rebel against Aerys...which brings up my main issue with Daemon. By all accounts he was relatively honorable:

Daemon fought valiantly, Daemon fought nobly, Daemon fought honorably. And Daemon died.

Dude lost. In some aspects he certainly would result in various boons as a role model but lets go with someone a tad less honorable. Someone that can do dirtier work.
