MERITS
ARTIFACT (*****) - THE LENS LANCE
DESCRIPTION: Forged in a heartbeat, lurking within the machine for ten thousand years, the fury and spirit of a barely tamed gravitic imploder lance - long mistaken for and used as an agrav system aboard an orbital habitat - has been once more aroused to the glory of battle. Though her functions are as of yet locked behind codewalls and mystery, she remains a terrifying weapon in the hands of a skilled warrior. Her legend will burn across the galaxy.

FAMILIAR (**) - GITTA, THE EVER LOYAL
DESCRIPTION: They say the Kriegers pour their hearts into their horses - but beyond their world, none know their mounts as anything but numbers on an Administratum file. Gitta will change that. Ia! Ia! Praise her! Praise Sainted Gitta, The Ever Loyal! Ia! Ia!

TEMPERED BY THE ELEMENTS (**) - DAUGHTER OF VATS, BORN OF WAR
DESCRIPTION: Though fading into seeming insignificance in the glorious dawn of a new age, the first Twilight to walk the galaxy since the fading of the Age of Sorrows was inured to the chaos of a modern battlefield, moving across it as swiftly as open ground.

SELECTIVE CONCEPTION (*) - SUBDERMAL IMPLANT IN THE THIGH
DESCRIPTION: ...this is actually just standard issue for Imperial Guardsmen from any world with a Magos Biologis on it.

LANGUAGES (*)
DESCRIPTION: You can speak the ancient tongue of The Old Realm!

INTIMACIES

Defining: The Galaxy is a Body, I will Heal it (Positive)
Major: Kit (Confused Attraction), Chaos (Hatred), Gitta (Love)
Minor: Technology (fascination), Xenos (Fear)

CHARMS

IN SUMMATION: Genuis flows, unabated, through the mind of the First Twilight. She is able to hold multiple projects in mind at once, easier than any mortal, while also shifting her focuses - despite not being trained in the crafting of explosives or metallurgy, she could shift her ability to create medical chemicals into that with some effort. She is able to inspire herself to construct even mighty artifacts swifter than any mortal, so long as she crafts projects that aid and help her allies and friends. She can complete mundane and even complex tasks - building a rifle, a suit of armor, or a small vehicle - in literal seconds using nothing but the raw materials and her bare hands. Raw excellence overflows in all her favored and caste abilities, bolstering their dicepools if required.

[X] Take up Brutus' offer - find Craftworlders to ask.

Trusting Vect on any level is madness and we do not have the right Exaltation to take him on by sneaking, not when we are this low essence at any point. Give us enough time and we could tie Vect in knots and then those knots in knots but that day is not now.

and a newly arrived member of the Space Marines: The Librarian, Aurora. You had goggled when her helmet had come off, revealing that she had a rather short buzz cut, a formidable jowl, and...it was strange, she was a very female person, but still was...masculine. How did that work? You had stood there in quiet confusion until Kit had whispered in your ear. "She's butch."

That explained very little.
Sounds like Gene-seed her runs on the long standing fan theory of selection criteria being not actually genetic, but metal and metaphysical. It's why Aspirants all have to be pre-teens, the process they go through runs off of the metaphysical and mental development of children into adult identities.

And from that identity, both in a psychological and soul capacity, is what says someone can become an Astartes for a certain gene-line.

Also that there are probably more female/other identity Custodes in this timeline. Fun!

Would exalted exp allow us to synthesize the materials to create soulstones? Or do we need to buy a bunch more charms first?

I think that depends if soulstones are artifacts or materials. If they're artifacts then probably yes but if they're a material then we would probably need Lore charms for the Wyld Shaping charms to conjure raw materials from the Warp/Wyld. We also might be able to make an artifacts to act like a Soulstone if it's the second possibility.

As for my vote:

My initial reaction to Vect showing up: "Fuck off Vect!"

My reaction to Vect explaining his problem: "Huh looks like the Gods of Creation aren't dead after all also Fuck off Vect!"

My reaction to the template: "Oh dear is that the Clay Man? and oh yeah Fuck off Vect!"

[X] Take up Brutus' offer - find Craftworlders to ask.

EDIT: Also looks like the perpetuals are caused by exalted shards in some way.

"Then who the hell was the stars?" Kit asked.

The door to the closet opened and Amberly stuck her head in. "The Council's ready you two! Put your pants on!" she snapped.

we do not have the right Exaltation to take him on by sneaking
We don't
But I have a suspicion there might be a Day or a Summer now running around in the Dark City...

In the time since we Exalted/The Emperor died? What has it been a few months? I don't think so, Day/Night Castes are good, they are not that fast going from zero. Maybe, maybe if we are talking about a Circle with just the right Exalts, but even then they would be human which means they would lack the easy infiltration means and social skills to infiltrate the Dark City, much less replace Vect.

Asshole he might be but Vect is one of those people who could probably take on an experienced celestial exalt in his area of expertise and kill an inexperienced one.

Thats doubtful for all but the most elder solar circles, much less the non solar member we have.

Absurdeal vect is many things, easy is not one of them.

Kit might be able to help if there are Charms that extend his Stealth to a larger group.

For all practical purposes I agree with you. I was talking about a theoretical infinite growth Solar. Give any Solar of any Caste enough time and they can do anything, the problem of course being that time is not infinite and specialization matters when it comes to being efficient.

The other problem is that given enough time and the Solar 'bad things' meter reaches 10.

"Unfortunately, this...self styled Sol Invcitus and his cronies are more trouble than they're worth
Sol: it seems the Exalted have finished rebuilding creation after they broke reality the first time. Took way longer than the Ancients normally did, so that's a good- what are you fuckers doing in my house. I'm unleashing the sun-plague on you now.

Soulstones are a 3 dot artifact, I believe!
Yasal crystals are two dot artifacts that let you borrow some of a bound spirits power, which lines up pretty well with soulstones as used in certain eldar weaponry. They can only bind spirits up to essence 2 normally, but more pure and refined versions can hold stronger souls, so you might need something more for an older, more powerful eldar.

"Unfortunately, this...self styled Sol Invcitus and his cronies are more trouble than they're worth and I want them delt with. Since beings like yourself are connected to them, I...offer you whatever treasure you wish from my vault, whatever favor you want from my personage to get rid of them."
Glorious Solar Moving van.

dawn: kill the guards in one round
"Look at all these witnesses. It's a good thing I am so sneaky that none of them would notice me, or I would have to kill them all before they could cause a problem. Like I did to everyone else who saw me."
"Yep, just going to go grab this and now to quietly walk away with my gleaming and very bloody surfboard sized sword, sneakily. Truly the witnesses who never saw me will tell tales of how sneaky I am, having never seen me or else."

edit:
"Oh no a locked door, it's a good thing that that guard over there will open it for someone else and I can sneak through or else there won't be enough of him left to mop up and I would have to get the key from what was left of his corpse."

Look, someone was able to get their blade on Vect's neck for long enough that Vect was genuinely surprised. Of course, Vect being Vect, I wouldn't bet on decapitation actually killing him.

While Abyssals work slightly differently than Solars, (it's called a "Cataclysmic Ability" instead of Supernal, but it's basically Supernal), and the Mirror keyword thankfully died in a fire, most of an Abyssal's charms are fairly close to a Solar's charms. And they can get really good at stealth.

Malfean Stealth: "IGNORE ME, PEASANT!"

There's also how with Favored attributes, any of the routes are open to any caste, so a Dawn can get their ninja on. It's always funny to have someone who's not noted for Stealth because there's a much stealthier member of the circle be able to go "I do have a Stealth Excellency".

Say, how well do you think Amberley could pull off a Bavarain Fire Drill?

From reading the text again it was Amberly who put the sword to Vect's throat, which suggests its own implications about the method Vect was using to communicate.

Sol Invuctus: "I am the sun!"
Vect: "M8 I steal suns for breakfast."

You see, there are some...extremely unusual entities that have decided that my home is their home. They're...very Mon-Keigh in that way, but they are not Mon-Keigh. In fact, they appear to be made entirely of warpstuff. Mon-Keigh that are both daemons and not daemons...it was almost fascinating enough that I didn't try to have them skinned alive for their temerity!" He smirked. "Unfortunately, this...self styled Sol Invcitus and his cronies are more trouble than they're worth and I want them delt with.
On the plus side, the Incarna are alive. On the minus side, the Incarna have retained their champion trophy, "Best At Solving Problems With Ideas That Only Make More Problems".

As noted above, Dawn Stealth is Intimidation-based IMO; "there won't be an alarm raised if there's no-one left alive to raise it" feels more like Slayer-caste Stealth. While Batman is more a Night or Twilight than a Dawn, I still think this is an excellent example of Dawn-caste Stealth.

EDIT: I... just realised I never actually voted.
