The Plan behind the Bat - A Wayne Enterprises Planquest

I think the most important thing right now is to finish the inspections, finish the recruitmet, then hire and arm our security force.
In other words, we need a solid foundation.

10 ap.
Bare minimum:
1 financial wizardry
2 security actions
3 recruitment actions (security, skilled, unakilled)
5 unaccounted for and a lot of shinies.
I want time with family and also shipping fleet.

Fuuuuuuck. The Court of Owls this early? The Bats only a fledgling, he is not ready to fight Talons.
Fortunately, it doesn't seem like Batman will need to fight Talons yet, as we have no evidence that they are on his radar or vice versa. If anything, it sounds like they're sounding out Lucius to see if he would make a good recruit.

It's actually more like 12 or 14 AP, depending upon how many times we hire Catwoman. Good thing too, given our feud with Lex

I want to keep in mind that Catwoman will absofuckinglutely be pursuing her own ends at the same time as ours.

So maybe don't use her on our internal security.

It's admittedly a bit of a risk, but it's one we can mitigate if we try to cultivate a friendship with her. Still, I suppose she's more suited for offense than defense at the moment given the number of low progress actions in security. I am admittedly tempted to have her help us turn some LexSec agents though.

Anyways, why are you interested in building up the shipping fleet right now? We're more limited on dice than resources at the moment. Now, getting more would probably have advantages in terms of optics, but I have to think that the Steel Mill would have a greater impact in that regard. Given that Lucius has a bonus in this area, I think four dice total over 2-4 turns should be enough to complete it.

Mostly because it's a fairly low-progress option to expand capabilities?

If we have tons of resources in comparison to dice at the moment we might be able to poke along the expensive infrastructure repair action to help support Gotham...

It expands our capabilities, but should expanding capabilities in this direction really be a priority right now? Gotham Steel is only 100 additional progress, and provides much better benefits in areas where we really could use some improvement.

As for repairing the Infrastructure, we aren't that flush with cash, and helping Gotham will mostly have to wait until we get our own house in order.

Alright so trying to work out a plan hm.

So 3 actions on each of the recruitment actions to finish those up, 2 ap on the whole safety inspection maybe 3. I'm considering doing a military contract action to see if we can get some cash flowing. One AP on getting some more Batman cash(not sure how much yet). Is there anything else people feel strongly about doing this turn. The recruitment is the biggest thing, though perhaps we should do some of the low hanging research or security actions

[] Attempt to form a rapport with the Cat Woman: The Cat Woman has offered you her services, and you've established a working relationship. For now, though, the only thing that connects her to you is money. Perhaps it would be worth meeting with her and trying to
I think this needs a progress requirement added.

Glad to see this quest back!

2 AP per turn on Socials, one on Family and one developing one of our other socials (finishing off Alfred would be good, starting one of the others would also be good), is something I think we should try to lock in.

Family helps prevent Stress from accumulating and has some secret background benefits that I'm sure we'll be happy to see pay off once they become front ground.

Working on the rest of our socials one at a time will also make sure we at least drip feed progress into earning the trust of Bruce, which is kinda super important to the whole premise of the Quest.

This is mostly a continuation of the last plan with the recruitment actions and the inspections reduced to allow us to funnel some money to Bruce's late night hobby and meet up with the cat in an effort to hopefully convince her that stabbing us in the back would be a bad thing, also last turns market research has been swapped over to getting a look at how the rest of the company is doing in order to gauge whether or not Quincy is the only division head that needs to go.

As the plans name suggests I'm using Cat Woman to start spying on Lex and while it's tempting to go straight breaking and entering I think it is a better idea to get a foot hold in LexSec first before that.

Thoughts anyone? should I funnel some more cash to Bruce's side projects?

EDIT: made the following changes 1. swapped Research the other divisions for Research gifted potential hires 2. raised Financial Magic to $300 3. dropped Intel Gathering (Subtle) and focused both of Catwomans actions on Court Double Agents and 4. put an Illicit AP Renovate the cave - Step 1.
EDIT2: added Inform Bruce Wayne about the Cat Woman

Judging by the Wayne Enterprises Status threadmark, I think we can be fairly confident that Quincy is the only incompetent one. Even he might not be incompetent so much as "working for the Court of Owls". I'd much rather take another security action or look into Lexcorp or one of a bevy of other options instead.

As for Miss Kyle, I don't think we need to worry too much about her getting caught. This is a 100 progress project and we're throwing three dice at it. Plus she's Catwoman. I think we can be reasonably assured that she won't botch this job.

On a related note,@Tjf how much progress do we need for the Catwoman action? The option is cut off.

On one hand, if we funnel something like $400 this turn then we shouldn't need to funnel more money for quite some time, even if it's a larger immediate paper trail, which is more AP efficient.

On the other, if we regularly waste an AP funding Bruce's eccentricities, that might show better to the boss? But it's a more regular paper trail at the same time.

I'm inclined towards occasional big money drop offs rather than regular deposits into Bruce's cave accounts.

$400 might be a bit much and could leave us a little vulnerable to financial trouble or sudden expenses but as you pointed out it large amounts funnelled over would reduce the need to supply him regularly, I'll think on it but $300 might be an alright middle ground.

Yes, just saw that. Whoops.

Thanks!

I'll edit the description when I get back, but it's meant to say (0/200) - she's basically as untrusting as Bruce.
