[X] Plan: No-Frills, No Nonsense (Yet)
Project Overview:
[X] This suit is meant to provide both ballistic protection and allow the wearer to better blend in with the night. As a proof of concept it doesn't have too many bells and whistles and is a fairly standard project with some room for growth. The idea is to have both the suit and the cloak be protective first and nonvisible second, relying more on Batman's skill to defend himself from blades and blunt objects, as well as keep himself hidden. It comes with a utility belt for storage and as a way for more versatile equipment to be used onsite that he builds or finds himself.
Primary Design Feature:
[X]Ballistic Protection
Secondary Design Feature:
[X]Low visibility design and a utility belt

The possible drawbacks I see immediately? Weight. Both the suit and cloak are supposed to be outfitted with ballistic protection which this early on might mean it will be a somewhat heavy suit. This also relies on Bruce's own skill in martial arts and stealth to provide protection in other ways, as ballistic protection does not completely equal blast or blade protection, or being slammed into or through walls. This may cause a problem with the grappling hook as well, since it's low tech and relies on Bruce's strength more. I'm also voting to accept his demands because they're not really an issue for this plan.
Later on I can see blast padding and such being added to the mix because he's gonna be thrown around a lot.
