You do not wait for the thing to speak again, turning to use the shadows at your back as a ward against the daggers of the whisper foots. The first passes harmlessly under your arm, alas the second is wiser and sinks into your leg, a burning that is more than pain, the poison doing its fell work. Even so the words of the spell come to mind to guard against wicked things, especially those called to purpose. I would be so lucky... The tattered winged thing seems all too solid to your eyes. To Mina it looks like something else... A look of horror crosses her features even as a thousand motes fly from her cupped hands enveloping, illuminating.

You take 1 STR Damage -> Now at 7/8
It seems surprised, and so it turns and, horribly, smiles: "Ah... foolish little dreamer, not yet woken to the cruel bed of iron upon which all rotting bags of meat lie. Yes, yes, lie. It is a rack this life of yours stretching, tearing, until all is pain!"
"Whatever twisted thing you may now be I shall send you into Her Light's embrace, this I vow!" Where the thing's voice echoed malice, Mina's voice is like a chorus speaking all the the tongues of the Goldarion in harmony!

Yet not all is the contention of will and power, for the edge of your friend's spell caught the second hunter in its glare along with a slice of the still confused Whisper Foots and that is all the opportunity Cob needs. He hurls himself against the hunter, newly-booted feet thumping against his side, opening him up to a cut against the neck.

The wet sound of metal striking flesh echoes against the chorus of screams and the proclamation of monsters and magicians. Gorok knows how to strike to bring them down but not to kill and kindle the Death Light. Many of the ballads of the People are filled with desperate battles turned at the last moment by that final immolation.
Dark Creeper Four takes 17 Damage -> Now at 0/19 (Unconscious)
Dark Creeper One takes 5 Damage -> Now at 13/19
Just then pair of arcane darts pass almost unnoticed among the remains of Mina's spell, unnoticed by all save their intended target as they burn a pair of neat holes though its ragged wings, they even match. It's just a pity it seems to be more angry than in pain, motioning to Mina as a curtain falling... or an axe. She stumbles back, but not in pain... blindness, just as she had inflicted on the foe.
Dark Thrylien takes 8 Damage -> Now at 31/39
Mina Will save against Blindness: 1d20+3 = 12 (Failure) -> Mina is now Blinded
The thing raises hands and ruined wings up in exaltation to whatever horror had given it sight and breath, only to be smashed into the wall of the cavern by an angry slurk, his croaks so deep and loud as to be almost roars.

What do you do?
[] Have Warty keep the thing in place while the rest of you handle the living
[] Gorok orders Warty off the monster and Mina tries to catch it (Dark Thrylien gets a Reflex save in addition to the Will save to get out of the range of the glitterdust cast by the blinded Mia)
[] Keep Warty in place, Mina can hit both of them with the spell (Warty also risks Blindness; he might take the spell blast poorly)
[] Write in
OOC: I changed the Thrylien's SLAs as well, it did not make much sense for it to keep neutralize poison given what it was so I swapped that out for Dispel magic and obviously if it uses its bolt it's not going to be holy. Anyway, Warty continues his rampage of smashing things into walls since he learned that works on things smaller than himself.

I try at least, I've had enemies guessed from the first second after a post more often than I managed to keep them unknown.

Ah, crap.
DP, was this the thing's Blindness/Deafness SLA or a new ability you gave it, like an altered version of its Starlight Blast? She would have failed the save to resist either way, since its SLA is DC 15, but the save you listed was Will rather than Fortitude, so I'm hoping this isn't a permanent effect like the spell.
If permanent, Mina is probably going to be severely handicapped for a while. Remove Blindness is a 3rd level Divine spell, and I'm not sure if Cauldron has anyone capable of casting it.

Okay, that's a problem for later. Fingers crossed that we can find a cleric in Cauldron, or at least a potion of Remove Blindness.
When Warty attacked the Thyrlien, was that part of a Bull Rush or Overrun? That's what it sounds like to me, like Warty Bull Rushed it into the wall, then continued to pin it in place in an improvised Grapple?
If so, it should have also been automatically sprayed with Slurk Slime(TM). That means it would be Entangled on top of Warty's mass holding it in place. The stacked penalties from both would be quite significant, making escape or further action extremely difficult.

This reminds me, I need to make a stat block for Warty for easy reference. It's hard to get a good idea of his capabilities looking at the Slurk link on the front page because that doesn't include the effects of his Giant Creature template.

Perfect.
Between being Grappled and Entangled, the creature should have a very difficult time escaping any time soon. Shrinking back down to its normal Small size will only make it harder to escape, since doing so will significantly decrease its CMD and CMB.

Mind control doesn't really work like that, though. They could be Dominated, I guess, but that's a pretty high level effect, and not something that could be applied simultaneously to multiple creatures. It would be easier and faster to just send a squad of Teleporting Outsiders, if that kind of power was being applied.
Even if they were Charmed, which would be the most likely effect that would make them work for Zura, that doesn't do anything to change overall behavior, just who they treat as a friend or ally. If they attacked us here and now, they would have done it with it without promoting from Zura or her minion.

Truly this was the best gold investment we made over the course of this adventure. Somebody needs to make Warty an animal companion.

It would be cool if he could gain racial HD as we continue adventuring, even without being an Animal Companion.
More HD would practically speaking mean him getting tougher, stronger and more wilful with time. I could certainly see that working out, but it is going to cost you something mechanically. For balance purposes something like a feat slot from each PC (you get one every second level in PF).

Oh well, Gorok can get an Animal Companion at 4th level, so maybe Warty will be suitable.
