Well, a pneumatic spike would work a lot better than a retractable blade and you can super heat that without warping/softening the blade. The only retractable blade style I could see working would be the setup seen in Republic Commandos game. Which is more of a pneumatic punching knife, not something to use to fight honor duels.

So next turn, how about we get started on figuring out a use case for the Aeolipile? I figure getting a bit more progress on Steam relatively early on might mean we have to do less to avoid penalties later.

Eh, we've still got lots of time before we risk taking the steam penalty again, so I'm in no rush to do a steam action because of that alone.

I'm much more interested in fixing the deficiencies in Margaret's gear shown by the hunt (no armor, no backup weapons, very limited ammo for Gromdottir).
