Even more radical than the Imperial Dwarfs, who chose to leave their people's remaining holds and live in the cities of The Empire?
Pretty much from what I see.
To say the least. Runesmiths are pretty thin on the ground even in the Karaks, and one that's out in the Empire, has adopted a human child (even giving her a creation of his) and seems to be pals with a magic user is very high up there in the WTF scale.
And it seems he still have good amount of respect from other Dawi, or at least from Empire ones who supported him when Margaret was on the trial. Or that is what I remember correctly.

Ok, think i'll make a plan for when the moratorium is over since I'll be awake when that happens.

[] Plan Settling In
-[] Looking for a Workshop

Gotta get a Workshop so that we can really start inventing.

-[] The Rickety Wagon

I like the Road Walkers, so let's go do some work with them to make some more money and improve our relationship with them while we're setting up.

-[] Getting to know Wolfenburg

As noted in the Patron action, learning about the city before we start looking for one will make it easier, and really it'll make everything in general easier since we're likely to be here for a while as we improve our skills, make stuff, and make money even if we eventually move elsewhere.

-[] Physical Training x2

I'm tempted to only do 1 Training and make some flintlocks for potentially showing off to a patron next turn, but I'd like to get Body 3 and Athletics 2 a little more.
This seems good, getting to know Wolfenburg should unlock the difficulties and Rickety Wagon will keep us afloat until we invent something big/land a patron. I also would rather wait until we get a workshop and see how much wealth that takes before spending it anywhere so double training sounds good

Yeah, foundations are important.

I will ask, do we find out about Margaret's origins or is she just simply an orphan with a bright mind?

Unfortunately looking at our Godfather's connections we are indeed a Protagonist (TM). Presumably we're going to end up having Fire-Gryphon blood and an prodigal cultivation potential inventiveness.
