As you all head out on the road, Homura looks at you, that faint smile on her face faltering for just a second. "Kyubey... do you... know what you've done today?"

"Kicked destiny in the teeth, that's what!" you reply, grinning back.

"More than that." Homura sighs. "Kyubey, I've been... at this for longer than you could ever know. And tonight, I saw something... something that upended everything I thought I knew. If... if this power... can truly break through the cycle... then..." The words Homura is about to say die on her tongue. "N-Never mind. But... Kyubey?"

"Yeah?"

"Thank you. From the bottom of my heart... thank you. If things had played out differently... the world would have lost two kind souls. An Incubator you may be... but I am proud to call you... my friend." Homura, for the first time in a long time, allows herself to truly smile.

Then, Madoka approaches you, grinning widely. "You were so awesome out there!" she says, scritching you between the ears. The next moment, though, Madoka's boisterous voice quiets down, the girl blushing in embarrassment. "S-Sorry about that... guess the excitement... kinda caught up with me. But... still, you, Homura, and Mami out there... fighting like a team... makes me wanna help out, too."

You smile and nod to Madoka. "You want my advice?"

"Sure, please!"

"Always keep moving forward. Use every revolution of the Earth to drive you to improve more than the last. Be a better you tomorrow than you were today, and nothing will block you from doing anything you set your mind to!"

Homura shakes her head, though she's still smiling. 'And he's giving her advice on how to better herself... telling her to stay as she was? What was I thinking?' Her eyebrows then shoot up into her hairline. 'Wait, where did that come from?!'

"You okay, Homura?" Madoka asks, tipping her head to one side.

"Y-Yeah, I'm fine. Just... just had a thought, that's all."

"Oh." Madoka grins awkwardly, shrugging. "Okay!"

Finally, Mami approaches, Nagisa in tow. "Kyubey?" she asks, a soft smile on her face.

"Hey, Mami! What's up?" you ask, a similar grin now taking over your face. "How ya feeling?"

"Good... a little shaken up from the close call, but good. And... thanks, Kyubey. Thanks for saving my life out there." Mami frowns. "If you weren't there, I'd have..."

You use one of your ribbon-appendages to pat Mami on the head. "Hey, don't worry about it. Just learn from it and keep moving forward. That's how we get better. Even if we make a mistake, even if we think we can't undo it, if we kick and scream and fight like hell, we'll move forwards a bit. And that's what matters. Like I told Madoka, be a better you tomorrow than you were today, and nothing will stop you."

Mami nods, smiling again. "Yeah... I'll... I'll keep that in mind. And... thank you, for giving me a family again."

"Already decided you're adoptin' her, huh?"

"Yup." Mami pats you on the head as well. "You gave me a daughter today, Kyubey. Thank you."

For a time, you all walk in silence, no words needing to be said. But eventually, Madoka opens her mouth and breaks the silence. "Hey, guys... if Soul Gems give birth to witches, what do Soul Drills give birth to?"

"I have no idea. But I get a feeling we'll find out," Homura replies. "And when that day comes... nothing will be the same."
