[] Plan: Peace in Our Time
-[] The War has ended, now is the time for us to bury our dead and mourn, it would do us no good to keep our men within the armed forces. It is time to demobilise the military and let our sons return and rebuild their lives.
-[] Many will return from The War scarred both in body and in mind, forming a National Health Service for these brave men is the least we could do for them, their wives, and their children. But reality dictates that we try and limit expenditure, our nation is a generous one, churches and charities could take off some of the load, and employers would also be encouraged to partially pay for their employees' health and safety.
-[] Increase our food production by giving financial benefits to farmers and fishers that modernize their farms/fisheries or hire a certain number of new workers. Also encourage British and French corporations to open up new lands to agriculture in our African holdings through a mix of tax breaks and regulatory exemptions. Once food production is up, we can gradually ease the rationing.
-[] Establish a National Minimal Curriculum, to be coupled with the refurbishment of our schools and classrooms, and the opportunity for religious authorities to influence local curriculums and educational policy in exchange for access to their coffers. Of note within the curriculum is an education emphasizing the sciences, bilingualism, and the virtues of our empire.
-[] While we have fought valiantly in the Battle for Britain, the damage is still done and many of our roads, railways and industries would require extensive repair and remodeling. With the help of our returning countrymen and the largesse of the Royal Treasury the task of rebuilding our country with new, modern methods and emerging greater than before is upon us.
-[] On the matter of taxation, the admission of the French people to our nation has granted us the obligation to ensure that their industry and enterprise can stand on equal footing with our esteemed British businesses. The issuance of these tax breaks and regulatory easing shall be doled out in 10 year period, with continuance being a matter of both review and their willingness to support the government. Furthermore, our new holdings in Africa have left us woefully overstretched. Begin a program of tax benefits not just for businesses but also our new citizens to encourage the formation of families.
-[] The Bonaparte Affair has been a comical series of improbabilities that have nonetheless happened, there is no need for the Queen to divorce but a promise to betroth the heirs of both thrones should suffice to put the matter to rest.
-[] We are now an empire of two peoples, it is unreasonable to believe that one side of it could be blind to the goings on of another, administer bilingualism as fast as possible.
-[] Concede on switching measurements towards Metric, it just makes more sense now doesn't it?
