Project Prometheus (Warhammer Fantasy OC Civ Quest)

I think Qhaysh is indisputably best at some stuff, is the thing. Specifically, based on the spells of it that show up, it's best at metamagic. It's great at dispelling other magic, messing with magic items, all that kind of thing. So I wouldn't say it doesn't have a specialty, even if it's not the highest priority specialty possible (though, given the snakemen being powerful magic users and Chaos being after us, it's not the worst specialty either). Combine that with having at least the basics of every Wind, and I think it's pretty worthwhile. Better than Azyr? That's a different question, but it's not flatly worse, I don't think.

the thing is, it isn't stated as that, with what @Voikirium said, so it's meta-magic properties are nebulous at best. It's simply a 'generalist' magic. Unless Voikirium is going to chime in, I'm simply going to assume it's just that.

[X] Menleth, a spirit of the father who returns to the den with food to feast and the mother who hunts for her kits, at times male and at times female and at times neither, who has journeyed with the King in the Woods whether material or incorporeal at the time. They are marked by Ghyran.
[X] Laqurnas, the predator, a spirit bound and shaped and moved by clever and cunning things, one who strikes from the dark and from the shadow and from the mist. He is marked by Ulgu.
[X] Hoygor, an odd spirit. One unintentionally summoned by the Astromancers of Cathay, one who was influenced by them and learned Azyr from them and integrated it into his nature.
[x] Talmor, the scavenger, the wild thing, the omen. A spirit born of that which feeds on the dead and on the dying, who has incarnated many times to feed on the energy of dead mortals, kept at arm's length but used to expel the restless dead. She is marked by Shyish.

I mean, having a jack-of-all-trades isn't a bad thing. While it wouldn't be as good at any one thing as the more specialized Winds, it can cover the weaknesses that said Winds aren't very good at.

Besides -double checks- the tally has shifted again so you might not need to worry anyway.

[X] Ehfeyos, a wanderer who journeyed deeper into the aethyr than any other would or could and then when that was not sufficient she incarnated herself into the material world the better to learn from mortals. She understands magic as a scholar, and is a thing of Qhaysh at heart.
[X]Minathpa, the clever thing, the den digger, a spirit of the clever and the cunning beasts. The beast that thinks, that plans. She is marked by Chamon.
[X] Menleth, a spirit of the father who returns to the den with food to feast and the mother who hunts for her kits, at times male and at times female and at times neither, who has journeyed with the King in the Woods whether material or incorporeal at the time. They are marked by Ghyran.
[X]Laqurnas, the predator, a spirit bound and shaped and moved by clever and cunning things, one who strikes from the dark and from the shadow and from the mist. He is marked by Ulgu.

[X] Dererhan, a beast, a true warrior, who has been summoned many times as a soldier by mortals, often heeding the calls of wizards and mages who were to face Chaos. A wrestler and champion as much as a spirit, he has the rage of a beast, and has the trophies to prove it. He is a spirit of purest Ghur.

I think people not picking Dererhan are making a mistake. We are in a war torn region surrounded almost exclusively by enemies, an actual experienced soldier, especially one focused on Chaos, is not something we can afford to pass up. Regardless of which of the various scholars we go with, I think we need a soldier.

Yup, besides, it's only right that the fox folk have someone with Ghur, to reflect their animalistic origins.

Well the way the tally is going it's going to be Hoygor or Dererhan as Laqurnas and Menleth are locked in; while Ehfeyos has pulled ahead again.

Laqurnas and Menleth are locked in, sure, but Hoygor, Ehfeyos, Dererhan, and Minathpa are all still close enough I think it's anyone's race which two of the four we wind up with. A couple of people changing their votes, a couple of new votes, and any two of them could wind up in third and fourth.

I think when it comes to overall aesthetics culture wise. I can see a strong Korean influence mixed with various South East Asia countries. But I imagine that's something that's gonna naturally form overtime.

Besides, I don't think fire magic in a JUNGLE is the… wisest thing.
Nonsense, fire is always a good thing. As is directly tweaking the emotions and passions of your friends and foes in advantageous ways, which is something about Aqshy people overlook a lot.

[X] Qasarat, a spirit of that which is hot and bright and furious and lusty and loving and joyful and a thousand other things within nature, from animal to beast and back again. Many times he has been called upon to consecrate a wedding for mortals, particularly by the Kislevites. He is marked by Aqshy.

I've got no interest in Qhaysh for the foxes; it just doesn't seem to fit them to me. I'd rather have things that are wild and sly and passionately alive.

I require Aqshy to make Firefox jokes. Everything else is optional. :p

That, and as former immaterial spirits, I imagine our people are gonna suffer a lot of whiplash at their new corporeal forms that experience things such as hunger and age and all the other sucky things that come with being part flesh and bone.

Qasarat can show them the fun side of being part-mortal now. He'll be able to ease our people's journey to adjusting to not being wholly spirits anymore.

Forgot the opening bracket

Why Korean? I could see Shan, or Thai or Nanman, but the place Korea "should" be located is on the other side of Grand Cathay.
