Project Prometheus (Warhammer Fantasy OC Civ Quest)

That being said, are we doing full anthro here? Or more fox-eared people with (X) amount of tails? Or something in between?

@Voikirium What High Magic is supposed to be, on civ level? Magic fox got "Am a scholar" in her blurb, but that also seems to be Chamon's thing?
-The most versatile style of magic, though I break with most in that it is not necessarily the "strongest" in the smash stuff and break shit sense.
-Different kinds of scholar, think Phd. Vs. Engineering.

Well, introducing kemonomimi fox people (And others of course) to Warhammer should have Interesting applications, especially if we pick a combination that has a tendency to get damn near everywhere.

We do have access to the ocean, IIRC - or close enough to realistically get there - so we prolly could travel all over the globe with the right combo.

@Voikirium is this purely a plan vote? If so:

[] Plan: Wireframe Fox
-[] Ehfeyos, a wanderer who journeyed deeper into the aethyr than any other would or could and then when that was not sufficient she incarnated herself into the material world the better to learn from mortals. She understands magic as a scholar, and is a thing of Qhaysh at heart.
-[] Menleth, a spirit of the father who returns to the den with food to feast and the mother who hunts for her kits, at times male and at times female and at times neither, who has journeyed with the King in the Woods whether material or incorporeal at the time. They are marked by Ghyran.
-[]Laqurnas, the predator, a spirit bound and shaped and moved by clever and cunning things, one who strikes from the dark and from the shadow and from the mist. He is marked by Ulgu.
-[] Hoygor, an odd spirit. One unintentionally summoned by the Astromancers of Cathay, one who was influenced by them and learned Azyr from them and integrated it into his nature.

I'm something of a fox myself, you know.

Those sorts of innate "I am not totally flesh" + "My race comes in all sort of forms and shapes" characteristics probably play really well with Ghur and shapeshift'y winds.

This does incline me back towards the Chamon option, just for better tools...
Good point so let's look at what skills each has aside from what alignment of magic they have:

Ehfeyos: Deep knowledge of magic and appears to be the scholar/generalist scientist of the bunch.

Dererhan: Experienced soldier and combatant, experience with fighting Chaos and probably good at hunting down big nasty gribbles.

Liad: Artist and probably varying forms of diplomacy.

Qasarat: A passionate matchmaker? Probably diplomatic skills.

Talmor: Scout and scavenger. Good at combating undead and similar things (aren't there vampires in our new region?).

Minathpa: She's the engineer, more focused than Ehfeyos but better at practical applications.

Menleth: Most in tune with the mortal wilds and everything in them (considering they hung out wit the Wood Elves).

Laqurnas: A combatant like Dererhan but less about organized soldiering etc and more ambush and trickery. Dererhan punches the enemy's face in. This guy goes out and the enemy is all found dead, face down in their breakfast cereal.

Hoygor: A magic-focused individual like Ehfeyos. Only difference is that his knowledge is from the Astromancers.

Biggest synergy that I can see would be Minathpa and Menleth as she knows how to build things and they know how to survive/hunt/live in the mortal forests.

While having Minathpa (chamon) would be good, I would counsel that picking her because we're stressing about our first few years is a bit shortsighted. Those years will eventually pass, and it's not like the other leaders would be completely uninformed about the stuff she does.

Either way I think we can agree that Laqurnas/Ulgu and Menleth/Ghyran are must haves.

Edit:
After that, we'll just let the votes decide.

Yeah, fair. I think we need at least one scholar (her, Hoygor/Azyr, or Ehfeyos/Qaysh), but we probably only need one of them.

Either way I think we can all agree that Laqurnas/Ulgu and Menleth/Ghyran are must haves.

I dunno if Menleth is absolutely essential, honestly. A good choice, certainly, but not necessarily absolutely essential...several other options can likely provide food, though not as well. I do agree we need Laqurnas given the situation, though.

FWIW, we got "actually could survive and recover from a lot of damage" as a racial quality; we prolly aren't going to keel over and die immediately if we don't pick a health/body-focused leader.

But anything even close to rapid pop growth still prolly hinged on Ghyran.

[X] Dererhan, a beast, a true warrior, who has been summoned many times as a soldier by mortals, often heeding the calls of wizards and mages who were to face Chaos. A wrestler and champion as much as a spirit, he has the rage of a beast, and has the trophies to prove it. He is a spirit of purest Ghur.

[X] Menleth, a spirit of the father who returns to the den with food to feast and the mother who hunts for her kits, at times male and at times female and at times neither, who has journeyed with the King in the Woods whether material or incorporeal at the time. They are marked by Ghyran.

[X]Laqurnas, the predator, a spirit bound and shaped and moved by clever and cunning things, one who strikes from the dark and from the shadow and from the mist. He is marked by Ulgu.

[X] Hoygor, an odd spirit. One unintentionally summoned by the Astromancers of Cathay, one who was influenced by them and learned Azyr from them and integrated it into his nature.

Many times he has been called upon to consecrate a wedding for mortals, particularly by the Kislevites. He is marked by Aqshy.
