Mankind has stopped using Mechas for war, and started using them for high-octane combat sports!

Can your small-town team reach the glory of the Galactic Championship?

It's like Gundam Build Fighters...but with actual mecha.
1. Choices - Part one
Pronouns
She/Her
It has been many long centuries since mankind has left Terra and colonized the stars. They achieved wonders, invented faster-than-light travel and, of course, created the next generation of weapons: humanoid war-machines armed with everything from miniguns to beam rifles to heat axes to beam swords.

It has been only three decades since its wars ended. Mecha, once feared as the symbol of war, has been repurposed for something much more...entertaining.

Mech Battle.

The biggest, greatest and most popular combat sport in the galaxy. Pilots and their machines clashed and competed for glory, money and the adoration of fans all over humanity's countless worlds.

Companies, teams and promotions fought each other on the battlefield and in the businessroom all grasping for one crown: the glory of the Galactic Championship.

How will you fare in this world of high-stakes battles?

------------

You let out a sigh of relief as the silvery-blue Adamantite doors finally open with a hiss, bringing blessed chill from the building's regulators. You had been standing in the heat for almost two hours!

The dark haired woman next to you, your father's lawyer, continues to speak as she makes her way inside, you following behind her.

"...So, in accordance to your father's will, the company and all its assets will pass to you, the eldest child of the deceased. This includes the facility, all the maintenance tools and robotic staff..."

You're only half-listening as you look over the chrome-colored halls of the building. To the right, you give a quick glance to two deactivated service bots leaning on the shut wall to the Mech hangar. A thick layer of dust sat on the floor and walls, and you cough a little.

This place looked...sad. You remember, back when you were a kid, when this place was new. When Dad beamed with pride as he showed you and your sibling the brand new halls. His very own Mech Battle team, and a company to manage it to boot!

And for a time, it went well! They were winning sector tournaments, raking in money. But then, they lost The Big Match. The qualifying for the System Championships.

Dad swore they were sabotaged, but the team was never the same after. Losing streak after losing streak until the team and this place was all but forgotten.

Nothing left but a dusty building and lone remaining Mech.

And now it was yours. Dad had died - he had a good life, and you were all with him as he passed - and he named you heir to this place.

....You were getting this place back on track. A winning team. Good pilots, good Mechs. You had a second chance now, and you were going to do it for Dad...and for yourself and your sibling. And it all started here.

This small, run-down building in

[ ] The Terran Empire - Mars, Sol System

The foremost power in the galaxy, the Empire is the continuation of the World Government that united Terra-One - or so they say. The Empire was the original hegemon of the Galaxy until the brutal Independence Wars led to its splintering. Ruled by Empress Aldeen Dorn XV and her Imperial Senate, as well as a bevy of smug lesser nobles, the Empire still has the strongest fleet in the galaxy, but its stagnating tech has led to Imperial teams losing the Galactic Championship 5 seasons in a row.

The Empress is very unhappy about that.

Your company is on Mars, in the Sol System. You'd think thst being so close to mankind's original home would make this place richer, but no, Mars is ruled by some no-name count, and is kind of a joke. Count's trying to fix thst though, and for some reason he's riding his hopes on your ass. Well.

At least you're not as bad off as the people on Terra-One after the Imperial Seat moved to Terra-Two and later Terra-Three. The poor bastards.

Feature:
- Sponsored by a Count: You have better starting resources, a small bonus to Diplomacy actions and a small bonus to getting matches and tournaments. However, the Count has various expectations on your Team and if you fail to meet them there will be...consequences.

[ ] The Federation of Free Worlds - Baryon IV, Aetilus System

The collective government of the planets that seceded from the Empire during the Independence Wars. A democracy whose head of state is elected from among its worlds, the planets jockey for position to be named a Core World - the places where all the best stuff go. Less rigid and controlling than the Empire, the capitalistic Federation is the galaxy's leader in technological Innovation.

You live on Baryon IV, one of the Federation's rare rural worlds. Let's be real, it's basically the middle of nowhere. No one knows who you are, where you're from but at least you're free to make your own way in the galaxy.

Feature:

- True Freedom: You have no one to tell you no, or what to do. You can truly grow at your own pace and be whatever you like. Plus, as you're in the Federation, your one mech is still a generation better than whatever the hell the Imperials are using. You also have a small bonus to Technological actions. On the downside, you literally have no money and no one's heard of you.

The lawyer's voice snaps you out if your thoughts. She moves past the doors to the mess hall, and deftly dodges a puddle of what you hope is water.

"And as we discussed previously, you have decided that you will be running the business as a partnership with your sibling..."

Well, of course. You need the help. While you may be a decent....

Next update we will decide the Player Character's actual stats with the skillset chosen. The sibling will have the other skillset, but their stats will not be decided by the Quest voters.

[ ] Administrator
[ ] Pilot

....your sibling is good at different things. If there's anything Dad has drilled into your head, it's that a Mech Battle team needs someone behind the scenes making sure everything runs smoothly, and someone in the ring leading the team as their Ace Pilot.

In the meantime, you and the lawyer had reached your dad's old office.

You gulped. This was harder to see. You could still see him, sitting on that desk, now covered in dust. The datapad is long gone, and the only other thing in the room is a single shelf where ledgers are haphazardly stacked on.

The lawyer pulls out papers (actual papers, wow, she was old school. Did she not bring her Datapad?), scoffed at the dust in the desk and decided to just hand them over to you directly instead of putting them there.

My brain: "Alright, i don't mecha a ton, but how many references to something mecha or mecha-adjacent can I stuff into a name, especially if they have a sibling (or more)." *Remembers Blazblue*

I prefer administrator overall so if a Mister plan with it gets traction I'll hop to that.

Oh this is a banger idea. I'm definitely an administrator supporter here, so this or the Imperial equivalent is fine by me!

Since we are female administrator, and thus have a male sibling Pilot, and both Noel and Badou can be french names, could we use Badou for Noel's sibling Name?
