[X] Follow Giano, trust Parvati

Going by gut instinct here, I feel like Parvati will be able to hold on or find a way out, though I am still somewhat worried

Would fit in the pre-cog and memory disguise aspects
Would it? Tomorrow's Expression doesn't have any precog-related aspect to it based on the one singular interaction we have with it.

We'd need to wait till we know for sure once we get to fight the thing.

The only thing similar between the two of them is that the Prophet and Tomorrow's Expression will 'do' what you 'want'.

Which is so vague that without the physical appearances being familiar to each other, it's hard to draw a connection.

There's a not a lot of things I can say, but I don't trust it to leave Parvati to deal with a horde of enemies that is quickly surrounding her.
Parvati is stabbing her trident into guard after guard as the largest group of them seems to converge on her at the rear.
Giano can probably murder the Prophet on her own, maybe in a high-difficulty fight that would leave her injured/on the verge of death/dead (seems unlikely but expect the worst and all). Or the Prophet could get away and we'll have to hunt it down (Giano did say that she can hunt it down once she saw its appearance due to her moonlight stone and all).

Given that Parvati isn't as specialized for group-wide murder as Ciel and Giano, I think leaving her alone is a bit much. She's the less capable ally here dealing with an on the surface harder fight.

While the Prophet lost one leg, and likely will have to outrun Giano rather than outfight her, which are both fairly unlikely.

She receives two nods, no one needing it explained that she is too conspicuous to look around the area.

Bah, she's just wearing a very distinctive uniform, I'm sure it would be fine.

Parvati is also your lookout, what with her choice of augments outdoing even Giano's enhanced senses.

One of the advantages of specialization, it can allows better things when you're in a team that can cover the rest.

Then Parvati gasps and you follow her gaze to the stage itself, where a distant figure speaks to the crowd. "It reaches all the way here," she explains and covers her eyes for a moment. "Looks so close to my brother that I'm going to be sick."

About what was expected, her going there alone really wouldn't have ended well.

Parvati slaps your side and pulls you out of the moment, making you shudder. Even knowing what the prophet does almost made you wish it were true.

And this is why we didn't split up.

The redhead squints down and hums. "Lanky and bald, with six prosthetic legs that make them look like a spider. Might be their entire lower half is prosthetics, but I'm not sure on that."

Hooray for Moonstone!

Ah, shit.

Giano is the one I would trust the most alone there, she is immune to the main trick, and that is important.

The follow Giano choice is more about money at the end, if she's the one that gets the kill alone, then Hana is the biggest contributor in the mission by default.

Thing is, Parvati really doesn't have the upgrades to get out of here alone, I don't think so.

The worst case of Giano alone is the prophet leaving and us having to find them again, the worst case of Parvati alone is her dead.

Insert "told you so" meme of your choice here.

There is no *I told you so* there, we have good reasons to still think splitting up would have failed, what with Ciel needing Parvati to snap out of their fugue when seeing the Prophet.

The plan went about as expected, and rushing did work, we did both see the true form of the quarry and get one of their leg, slowing them down.

Edit:
Forgot to vote:

[X] Help Parvati, trust Giano

Tbh, the Shadow Favor crowd has the right to say 'I told you so' in this case.

Since having a Shadow helping us out would turn the current situation from 50/50 to sure success (Shadow + Giano = 1 very dead Prophet with next to 0 problems). While with us we completely underestimate how vulnerable Ciel and Parvati are to the Prophet's illusion.

Had Parvati or Ciel not unconsciously hesitated (Ciel is still calling the prophet Mu), things would've went a lot better.

One thing I noticed during the fight.

Mu, the prophet stares at you in surprise but glides right under your first sweeping blow. Parvati tries to stab her, but that little bit of hesitation in her motions gives the prophet enough time to dodge. She shouts something you don't hear over the roaring of blood in your ears and makes to duck between you and your partner when Giano's greatsword slams into the solid stone right by her feet; a shriek of tearing metal follows but the prophet manages to duck under your Lucerne, leaving behind a mechanical foot.

Giano holds a really good advantage against the Prophet. Her immunity to the illusion, likely also extends to her being immune to whatever mind shenanigans the Prophet is using to dodge easily.

Though even then, I am not sure whether that is Giano being a badass or the moonstones. Probably both.

I see. Still not enough to sway my vote tho.

Since it's strength that matters more for Parvati's current situation of getting surrounded on all sides.

Having Ciel on her side would guarantee her survival, so let's not get even more greedy.

And then we could have told *I told you so* when still having that favor during the Hana exam would have seemed like a better idea.

The problem of telling *I told you so* when the situation is not sure at all, what if you are wrong in the calling out?

Particularly when part of the problem is short term versus still not reached long term.

So, no, there is no *I told you so* there.

The plan did work as expected, the only thing that went wrong is that Parvati got surrounded, otherwise, everything is as we wanted, with the Prophet on the run with us on the tail and knowing what they look like.

Hey, I never said we couldn't do it to them once the time comes.

There is always room for "I told you so", just be prepared to take it to the chin if the future proves you wrong down the lane.

The plan worked as expected because there was never any doubt in Giano's ability to rush in and murder the Prophet. That's why I even suggested splitting up in the first place. She got both moonstones, superior gear, and augmentations.

everything is as we wanted
You know this is 100% cap. What we wanted is for us to rush in, bash the prophet's head in, and get out with 0 troubles along the way, just like Yesod intended. What we got is nowhere near the ideal that we wished for going in with this vote.

Which I expected, because the original vote was way too simple.

The situation we are in is a lot of what people feared would happen. Split between two options with one potentially resulting in Parvati dying.

1. The thing I feared the most happened. Parvati is surrounded, so we can't help Giano out, no way the votes would just leave Parvati to herself like that in a situation where she is surrounded and outnumbered. Parvati's attack probably could've hit had she been planted in ambush ahead of time like I intended for her to be, and we even got confirmation that she's more adept at pushing the illusion away than Ciel in this chapter lol.

2. The Prophet isn't a normal human in the first place, if the Prophet getaway, we are probably not gonna see them again for a while because they would know that Hana (who has moonstones and can probably see through them) is on the lookout for them. Potentially resulting in a mission failure.

It's not ideal at all. It's not bad, but not ideal.
