Although I'm voting for augments because yeah, gotta get our whole body up to snuff, it would be good if we could get a tough suit/clothing or whatever sooner or later since I don't believe we have anything like that yet. I know, we can revive/rewind, but we'll have to get it at some point.

Ohh yeah, can't believe we forgot that. Especially seen with the Grade 5s and above all sporting some sort of enhanced formalwear, but not sure how viable that on the result we get into Hana given the Association uniform and all.

We didn't have the money to spend on something like that. The cost of a normal drip irl is already pretty expensive.

I can't imagine how expensive a chainsaw/bullet/stab/hammer/Warp/nanoblades/etc/etc-proof drip suit is.

An excellent point, that. Probably worth a good cut of a Grade 2-3 Fixer's income, if they are not Association-aligned.
Best to wait a good bit until we can find a worthwhile Tailor then. As Giano appraised Ciel, Quality is still better than Quantity in its own way.

The thing is that any special cloth worth anything is expensive. Ciel could afford an outfit that mitigates or prevents damage from anyone unaugmented, but that becomes all but void once augments enter the equation. Hence why they held off for now. Due to aiming for Hana, they also assume the Association will provide a quality uniform.

Makes sense, hmm.
Granted, as we'll start off in Section 6, the uniform's capability won't be as high-tier protective gear as the top Section's. But no doubt it is still very good quality.

those fabrics we saw in LoR was an order from the THUMB. you know, ONE OF THE BIGGEST STAR OF THE CITY? although it was enough for everyone in the Blue man gang but still, its BIG MONEY.
if we want a full suit of that kind of good shit, we need a lot of money.

Which seems like they do based on Ruina and Limbus characters so thats a good thing for Ciel.

I wonder what Hana got since apparently Liu got a singularity deal with one of the Wings for the moonstone (probably alongside good materials other than just moonstones).

Hm... that reminds me, I heard the Moonstone is actually the golden motives on the Liu uniforms. What Hana Association Fixers we see also have gold on theirs, though it is the trims and buttons instead. So I would go out on a limb and say Hana also has Moonstone on their uniforms.

They definitely got more than that with their Tri-Grams and Micro-Bots weaponry thats for sure.

And yes, you are correct. The info came from Liu-Ishmael who said that she got a tiny amount of Moonstone on her jacket.

We don't know what it does outside of the record function it adds in Ruina (which would explain why Hana would have it too) though.

In any case, I look forward to seeing how you'll do it should Ciel succeed.

Last I checked, Moonstone is a sanity-protecting substances. However it works, it apparently protects the minds of the wielders so they can keep functioning regardless of stress or horrifying things they see.

I feel that may come from Mei's book? It has been a while since I read any of them.

Singularity sounds cool and they are really useful, but it's not like they would leave the market any time soon. We can always come back for them later.

Some of the moonstone's abilities are mentioned in the potato gallery cutscene before the first or second Liu reception, I believe.

Mei's Keypage said:
Outside of weapons and martial arts, the most important thing that provides us with protection is our clothing. It might look like a fancy suit with golden decorations at first glance, but you know how a Fixer's attire is no ordinary clothing! It's mandatory for people working in relatively higher Sections to wear clothing adorned with the moonlight stone, M Corp's Singularity. Of course, the Liu doesn't have the exclusive right to use it, so you can see it on the clothes of other Fixers and Syndicate members, too. The moonlight stone emits a golden glint, and you can either gild your clothes with it or make ornaments out of it.

The moonlight stone mitigates or shuts off psychological affliction induced from all kinds of mental attacks, pressure, interference, and all that… Whether it's caused by seeing, hearing, or feeling something, or a direct assault to the mind. Although, I don't really know how the stone works… They said it amplifies a single purpose or thought, making people forget the mental pain coming from outside, or fortifying the mind as if it's surrounded with a giant barrier. It's all thanks to this clothing that we didn't panic when we saw the Crying Children, a Distortion!

Here's how the moonlight stones work, from Mei's Keypage

EDIT: Looked around a bit more.

Liu Association Section 2: Episode 2 Pre-Battle said:
Lowell: You both know how we're encouraged to take records of the Distortion in order to gather data, right?
Cecil: Yes. And our records can only be shown to those in close proximity to a moonlight stone, product of M Corp's Singularity.
Mei: Which we're obliged to carry for our mission, so it doesn't matter much to us.

The moonlight stones don't exactly have a "record function". Rather, it's just that these records are not allowed to be shown to people without a moonlight stone present.

also, our 'cannon characters met' counter went up so that makes Iori, pre-distortion Pianist, and who now? The extraction source of MGoL/QoH? Or was the Claw we encountered in District 23 Baral?
