Good, she's taken out one of the Podium's adds. Just gotta get rid of the other one and distract the bench sub-boss, and then we can focus on the REAL target. :V



As for votes, agreed, good time for levels.

Don't do it Podium! If you acquire the ability to move by leveling up, there will be no reason for Betsy to stay in the same general area! And then the Author will have to draw a lot more backgrounds! And the updates will slow down! :V

In seriousness though, yay growth crystals! Hopefully the party will have a long and hard discussion on who should get what given how rare those things presumably are and their vital function. And not just gobble them immediately.

Like, even though seemingly everyone agrees on bringing everyone to the same level, it's yet to be discussed on if they should even use them in the first place...like we know they'll need the power for what's coming but I think the idea of selling a Growth crystal should be brought up, even if only to be dismissed. Because presumably they could sell for enough to get you set for life.

I just want a scene of the characters thinking about their options even if they come to the same discission, just so they aren't recklessly eating the growth crystals but making a resolute discission to do so.

    Yeah. It's about time you got to Level 3! You're not even sure how leveling up works, considering you were out cold when your class got picked. Somehow. Maybe you should be more concerned about that? But maybe you'll wake up with an awesome upgrade again! Worth it. You pull one of the crystals out of your wallet.



    You're still a bit hesitant, though. The whole event last time seemed pretty spooky...




    The time spent contemplating whether or not to do it has made you a perfect target for Lise and her tiny grabby hands. Before you know it, the warm crystal has been snatched from your grasp!

    Flora takes a moment while the two of you are bickering to unplug the sparking lamp so someone doesn't get electrocuted trying to pull the sword out. Someone being Lise.




    Well, for one, you didn't ask. Rude.



    Your mental protests do not seem to deter the fairy from her mission, as she crunches the crystal between her steel gauntlets. So you really don't have to eat it then. Huh.

    She's not wrong. You've been concerned about the same thing. Even then, it's not like you have much of a choice.



    Unfortunately.



    Flora takes a biiiiig step back as you stand up and pull out the other crystal. What, does she think a bomb is going to go off when you smash this thing? Lise was fine just now. Last time was probably a fluke anyway.

    The fairy in question taps away in the air happily a few times, before you notice her status and sub-status have updated themselves. May as well check before you do yours...




    So her GUARD went up by 1, and she got a "Class Passive". Neat! Maybe you'll get cool stuff like that when you level up.


    Well, you'll just have to see.
    You smash the crystal.



    The effect is immediate. Your eyes bleed with holy light, dripping like tears down your face. The sensation, while warm, is slightly painful this time. The power wells within, resonating with something deep inside you.



    Your body itself starts shining brilliantly, like a lighthouse beaming through the dark gloom this horrible night has brought forth.

    The blinding aura grows in waves,

    _______________slowly consuming the landscape...

    Until all that remains is white.

    Anything that will decrease Betsy's HP drain is worth going for. It's kind of our big limiting factor in terms of exploration.
     
    Nice update!

    Hmmm. I think going for the racial passive is a good idea, those are quite powerful.

    Not sure if it's worth going all out for both though? On the other hand that would get us down to -1hp for being off the pedestal i think… so. I don't recall what Shadex is though?
