[] The Absolutists (Far Right)
-[] Reject the expansion of the Napoleonic Code.
-[] Approve the crippling Austrian Indemnity.
--[] (PLANK) ADVOCATE that the IMMENSE FUNDS gained from CONQUERING EUROPE and DESTROYING AUSTRIA be used to DEVELOP THE INDUSTRIAL AND MILITARY PRODUCTIVE FORCES of FRANCE through the CREATION of a IMPERIAL ECONOMIC INVESTMENT FUND, which will give out loans and investment to poor farmers and the rapidly industrializing peasantry to SOLVE THE FOOD PRICING CRISIS ONCE AND FOR ALL and STIMULATE PRIVATE INDUSTRY (the bank will be run by right-wing ministers, of course).
--[] (PLANK) ADVOCATE that the FRENCH EMPIRE and her SISTER KINGDOMS (client states like Spain, the Italian states, Germany, etc) be INTEGRATED through the lowering of TRADE and TARIFF BARRIERS in order to LAY THE GROUNDWORK for a FUTURE PAN-EUROPEAN BONAPARTIST-RULED EMPIRE. This policy will also help RELIEVE THE BURDEN OF GRAIN SHORTAGES and PRICING.
--[] (NON-LEGISLATIVE) In many ABSOLUTIST and RIGHTIST GATHERINGS, issue SPEECHES that DEMAND that the CONTINENTAL SYSTEM and ALL THE BONAPARTIST REALMS be TRANSFORMED into a PAN-EUROPEAN BONAPARTIST EMPIRE, to be called EUROPA UNIVERSALIS, led by NAPOLEON II, the future SOLAR EMPEROR of ALL OF EUROPE, as well as PUBLICALLY ADVOCATE for the LAUNCHING of the GLORIOUS NINTH CRUSADE against the DECADENT OTTOMAN MENACE, which OPPRESSES INNOCENT CATHOLIC WIVES AND CHILDREN and IMPRISONS THE HOLY LAND, and finally ADVOCATE for NAPOLEON to be MADE A SAINT OF THE ROMAN CATHOLIC CHURCH.
--[] (NON-LEGISLATIVE) (UNDERGROUND... sort of?) ATTEMPT to COMBINE and INTEGRATE the ABSOLUTIST FORCES with the DANDIES together in order to CREATE A NEW POLITICAL PARTY, UNITE THE RIGHT and CRUSH THE INSANE LEFT, while also attempting to COURT the CATHOLIC OPPOSITION through the CONQUEST OF THE OTTOMANS and the RECLAIMATION OF THE HOLY LAND. This will involve the CREATION of a NETWORK of NEW RIGHTIST "DRINKING CLUBS" and "HUNTING CLUBS".

With Britain vanquished, Europe has need of a new industrial center of gravity. In the war years the iron country of the north-east and Wallonia had stepped in to fill the gap, churning out nails and guns for a continent - surely the spoils could be used to make that arrangement permanent?

[] The Dandies (Center Right)
-[] Approve the expansion of the Napoleonic Code.
-[] Approve the crippling Austrian Indemnity.
-[] France needs enterprise, not makework. Infrastructure investments are well and good, but manufacturing is key. Divert a substantial chunk of the indemnity to the formation of an investment bank which will support the development of private industry.
-[] Rationalize trade under the Continental System. The principles of 'free trade' may be worthy of consideration here. French products must be competitive in European markets, and the tariff-free or -minimal import of grain to the French metropole will keep wages low and encourage the peasantry to take up industrial work.

OPERATION: PREVENT TEUTONIC INDUSTRALIZATION is a go.

i advocate for the merging of the absolutists and the dandies, it's really the smart and correct option and can be done outside of the two planks

Thinking about underground plans now - extraparliamentary ones, I mean - and I think I'd like to try to establish some more Philadelphian Lodges/Clubs either in other french cities or, like, our various "friends" across Europe. Could be useful to have sympathetic locales around europe, maybe?

I'd also like to kick off a bread riot in Paris because apparently the grain situation is "bad" and I would like to kick up a stink about it.

With Britain vanquished

Temporarily. They can always get more reasources somewhere else.

Honestly, making them limit themselves and all that would undoubtly make them more shrewder, innovative, and riskier.

And..their motivation would've been to spite the French, while France will undoubtly have their Downward Spiral similar to Post-WW1 France.

I wonder if we could get a PU over Austria in exchange for not ratfucking them.

Austria still holds the Reichskrone and the most legitimate claim to the HRE - both things desired by Napoleon and denying him them was the reason why the HRE was disolved in the first place.

Having something to legitimize rule over most of Central Europe beyond force of arms would be very useful.

In-game, this is represented as so: the government will propose laws, as above, and you may vote to accept or reject them, while as part of your party vote you can propose two (three if your party is in power) 'legislative planks'.
So, this was set forth in the Discord, but doesn't seem to have been here:
Parties not in control of the chamber may propose up to three planks, of which up to two may be legislative;
Parties in control over the chamber have may propose up to three planks, of which up to two may be legislative, plus one plank which must be legislative.

-[] Appoint a minister to formally watch over Napoleon's corpse on the off chance God sees fit to return the greatest of all his creations to the world of the living. You know, just in case.

[] The Philadelphians (Ultra-Left)
-[] Approve the expansion of the Napoleonic Code.
--[] As a part of that expansion, the Philadelphians would argue that the Napoleonic Code - through the right to petition - de facto legalises political expression of all types, even up to and including opposition to the Empire, misguided though such opposition is, and the formation of clubs such as the old Société des Amis de la Constitution. Our support for this expansion is contingent upon this being recognised as such.
-[] Approve the crippling Austrian Indemnity.
-[] [Underground] There are going to be many soldiers demobilising, returning to homes that do not want them. Provide them with a new sense of purpose, structure in their lives and a place to spend their days. Philadelphian Lodges, say.
-[] [Underground] The Philadelphian Lodges exist already in Britain, but ought to be spread elsewhere, to other countries. Revolutionary fervour cannot be limited by the borders of our repub- our empire.

Had some new thoughts. I think this is three planks?

[] The Philadelphians (Ultra-Left)
-[] Approve the crippling Austrian Indemnity.
-[] Approve the expansion of the Napoleonic Code.
-[] [Non-Legislative] [Underground] Establish committees of correspondence between Republican political centers in the cities, and between them and the countryside and Jourdan's army in Spain, to coordinate agitation and action (effect, per Telamon: parties of the Left gain an additional [Non-Legislative] [Underground] plank).
-[] [Non-Legislative] [Underground] Expand the number of masonic lodges organized under the Great and Noble Lodge of Brotherhood, or La Philadelphes, in the major population centers of France and its dominions, recruiting heavily from returning/demobilizing soldiers to give them a new sense of purpose and community.
-[] [Non-Legislative] [Underground] Through our masonic connections, get into contact with prominent Freemason Republicans overseas in Britain and the Americas in the aims of folding them into the greater La Philadelphes network.

[] The Jacobins (Left)
-[] Plan:
Peace, Populism and Pension
--[] Demand an end to conscription and support immediate demobilization of the army.
--[] Support immediate end to the war taxes and call for large tax cuts to support the growth of French economy.
--[] Call for pensions for the widows/families of dead soldiers and those left crippled by the war.
--[] Approve the crippling Austrian Indemnity only if the demobilization passes.
--[] Approve the expansion of the Napoleonic Code only if tax cuts are passed.

Alternate plan for the Jacobins. Basically calling for tax cuts and end to the conscription that should be hugely popular and keeping in with the liberal orthodoxy. Beyond that it's basically aiming to help those hurt by the war.

- [ ] Found a war college for training senior officers in honour of France's greatest general, to ensure the preservation of his legacy and that the instrument of France's dominion is not allowed to rust.

accusations that this is suspiciously similar to what the prussians had at one point will be considered treason

[x] The Absolutists (Far Right)
-[x] Reject the expansion of the Napoleonic Code
-[x] Approve the crippling Austrian Indemnity.
-[x] Propose that France immediately starts preparing for a war with the Ottoman Empire to take Egypt. The Emperor would have wanted us to finish what he started in 1798! This will also assist us in reasserting our former claims over India, as our Emperor said at the time.
-[x] Form a Cult of Napoleon, and propose that this Cult be given official state backing.

Moratorium is up!

Anyways, I've been going back and forth on it for a bit, I think I enjoy this vote more than what I came up with :V

[X] The Constitutionalists (Center-left)
- [X] Approve the expansion of the Napoleonic Code.
-- [X] [Legislative] As a condition for support, propose a new European economic and political treaty to bind the harmonized states of Europe together into a confederation of sovereign entities safeguarded by France as its natural primus inter pares.
- [X] Approve the crippling Austrian Indemnity.
-- [X] [Legislative] As a condition for support, the provisional government in Vienna should be facilitated in taking up loans and subscriptions of public bonds for the payment of its indemnity and that under the French ambassador a public instrument of the debts be drawn up for consistent and stable repayment that neither vandalizes the state nor cheats France of a single red penny her blood has been shed to earn.
- [X] [Non-Legislative] Build support for Constitutionalism among the educated middle class and lesser nobility, particularly state officials, military officers, and merchants, with an emphasis on fairly but strictly enforced laws, open commerce, and a European confederation of states with France at its head.

[X] The Dandies (Center Right)
-[X] Approve the expansion of the Napoleonic Code on condition of rejection of the Austrian Indemnity.
-[X] Propose legislation to restore the Franco-Persian alliance as part of war designs on the Ottomans.
-[X] Register the Muscadines as a social club, forswearing illegal activities, and dismiss members who violate the code of conduct.

As the bourgeoisie party of militarism we need Austria to be a place that our party leader Lafitte and the Bank of France can engage in commerce with, not a piggybank drained by state bureaucrats. And Austria is the traditional training ground of the French officer class.
