The problem is that I don't believe that anyone other than Magical Girl has a chance to win here. Because even the weakest of the Servants is still ten times better than an ordinary person, and Caster is not even an expert in close combat.

Also, we already have a gun user in the form of Kiritsugu, but there is not a single Magical Girl in this timeline.

That obviously just means we'll have to work harder. Solemn Lament can smash through the Red Mist, Saber and Gilgamesh should be no problem.

...now, we just need to find a Myo, some dice that can roll infinitely high, and some smoke.

And both weapons are WAW-Class, actually. They're roughly on the same footing powerwise.

but Apoc bird gets too much attention. Same with the magical girls. I want to give my HEs and TETHs some love, dammit! Laetitia, Forsaken Murderer, Red Shoes, Der Freischütz, Funeral of Dead Butterflies! Give them a chance to be in the spotlight!

For a start, you gotta consider that regardless of whatever you pick, the end result is still Magical Girl. Kind of got predetermined when we picked Tiph as a template. :V

Anyway, MG is great aesthetically because most everything else in X's arsenal is straight from, uh, if not worst corners of human consciousness, then little big shop of horrors, at least. It is a great contrast.

The slow "You friend is who? Your gun is what? You lived where? " peeling of traditional MG aesthetic under all sorts of weirdness that bubbles under the surface of X's chosen vessel is going to be great.

You gotta look shiny and your lasers gotta be bright, if you wanna get maximum mileage out of those sort of interactions.
