Great Man Theory (Warhammer Fantasy)

The vote will be an hour in length. Please take the ten minutes to discuss the merits of the plans :)
It's 11 PM on the US east coast, you might want to give it at least 12 hours if you want people to have a chance to vote.

(I'd be in bed right now myself if I wasn't staying up for the game awards)

Ah, I think I forgot to vote before anyway. Oh well, the other one feels off to me right now. So when votes open I think politics will get my vote.

As Mopman said, voting is now open. Just as an aside, Mopman it should be said, is a Gem.

This is latest vote, between

[X] Plan Politics

&

[X] Plan: A Question of Honour.

So keep that in mind, if you put them both down, it will count one over the other (Not really sure how it decides between them)

Well, I feel like plan politics is better because:
-No leaving the fanatics to deal with things on their own, which they might not be able to. Also the reasons i already stated before here:
So for the 'what to do with the fanatics' vote in particular.

-No going the 'knightly way' in the Borderlands. As stated before, Rosmalen has no reason to accept an honour duel. He knows he will lose that, and will simply reject the option. Also going straight for killing him seems a bit much. He is after all kind of important to the defense atm.

So
[X] Plan Politics

Pros to Plan Politics:
-It gives us a loyal people to work with in the exfanatics, hopefully giving us fellow godbotherers and not just casting the off and abandoning them to figure it out themselves.
-It earns us people that will listen to us since we've lead them to victory, hopefully starting a powerblock we can use to contend with Rosmolen and Herminia.
-It chastises Rosmolen in front of Izek, the only person who has authority over him, WITHOUT spitting in his eye and forcing him to escalate to the point of violence. And we still need him. Militia cannot replace the duties of his troops outside of dire emergencies.
-It gets Misha on our side, someone who's weaker than us politically and can be brought to oppose Rosmalen and Herminia

Cons to Honor:
-It totally abandons the exfanatics
-Herminia isn't going to work with us, we shamed her in front of Izek and she hates us more than the she sees Rosmolen as a threat.
-Challenging Rosmalen in this manner does nothing but force him into a corner. It escalates the situation to violence where there doesn't need to be any and there is no out other than open bloodshed. We also don't have any proof against him other than something that can be brushed off as being cautious and almost even commendable since he protected the best troops in case of further attack.
-Getting the skull is a weak option in face of getting support from Misha

[X]Plan Politics

[X] Plan Politics

Well, politics and honour were the only two plans so a run-off vote doesn't really work cuz the votes would only change because of outside factors not cuz they've been convinced or smthing.

Our votes from the start are counted. I don't think that those who've already voted need to do so again. @Sir_Travelsalot, your vote currently counts for both plans btw.

Also going straight for killing him seems a bit much. He is after all kind of important to the defense atm.
I straight-up don't trust him after this. I'm not going after him because of knightly honor or anything, but because he is a danger to our life. The update even calls that out.
[] Confront him in front of the rest of the council.
Rosmalen has attempted to let the defenders of Meissen get slaughtered enmass to remove his political opponents, namely you. Pull him to task in front of Izek, and if that fails… deal with him.
[] Confront Rosmalen yourself.
He tried to get you killed; that was obvious to anyone with knowledge of battle and the full picture. You… did not appreciate that.
I don't trust this man to not try this again. He backs up, or we fight in the open. This is not a choice I want to offer him.
-No leaving the fanatics to deal with things on their own, which they might not be able to. Also the reasons i already stated before here:
And my position on them is as stated before:
Lastly, on the surviving zealots. I am flexible on this choice, and will change it if its critical to secure votes for the rest of the plan. However, Verena really didn't appreciate how we manipulated them and took away their agency. Moreover, the selfishness of the choice is called out by Asavar himself, and it feels inappropriate to me. But, as I said, I'm flexible on it.

Are you saying that you trusted him before? All three of these people would see us dead.

This will doom the town. There's still a necromancer and we still face the dead. We don't have the time or resources to escalate this. People will die. We need every single person right now and don't have time to stat a civil war in the town to soothe our ego.

Trechery is to be expected and played against, we don't have the time or resources right now to flip the table and throw a tantrum.

And my position on them is as stated before:

And so you abandon them in a time of crisis of faith, instead of making them stronger and better off

Automatic vote will go from all votes posted after the timer started.

If you want your vote to count in it, re-vote.

Also, new votes override old votes in the tally. It's impossible to vote twice.
