Bloody Evolution (RWBY / LoR)

Yeah. So they aren't distortions. They are abnormalities. End of discussion.
Nope. Unless Bloodfiends infinitely revive upon death, they are not Abnormalities. That is a requirement.

Anyway, votes are closed for good now.
Adhoc vote count started by Naron on Oct 17, 2022 at 9:55 AM, finished with 119 posts and 31 votes.

And oh golly, we have a tie! Meaning I get to decide!

Honestly, I like where both of these options could go... but I like the aura one a little more. So Binah will find someone willing to activate Love's and observe closely what happens.

Which brings us to a little issue. The vote called to name which Abnormality and who is called to do the activation. Only the first was provided, so we need a run-off vote here.

Who is requested to awaken Love's aura?

[] write-in

You can pick just about anyone. So instead of making a big list, I will simply tell you if a given write-in makes too little sense to be applicable.

Anyone know who would be best to try awakening Love's aura? Thinking probably not someone super connected with beacon, since it would raise questions as to how she got through their exam without aura, but? maybe torchwick to make him suffer?

[X] Ruby
Since if she doesn't join in on the fun, she'll become a bit irrelevant.
And we can use this opportunity to pull her closer to us, And maybe we could give her the offer of becoming our part time weapon maker, since she is clearly skilled on the subject matter.
And her silver eyes will be useful for future us.

Wa?
I mean, mini CENSORED and other "minions" types that die and aren't reborn are counted as Abnormalities too.
Then Lobotomy Corporation would contradict itself at every corner because some of Gebura's important dialog clearly states no amount of deaths will keep an Abnormality down forever.

I imagine the difference is that minion types are part of each given Abnormality, thus count as them, but are killable. Alternately, this is where game design and lore intersect. Or, as a third possibility, minion types return to their parent Abnormality upon being killed; they need to be recreated (e.g. bred for the bee soldiers) first.

Could we ask Torchwick? Essentially offer him free information and sate his curiosity a bit.

Of course this will also raise more questions and likely make him more interested which suits our ends as well.

...ok fine, I just remembered the possibility of death.
here.
[X] Roman
-[X] Offer a huge amounts of money if he refused

edit:
... Also we should get Courage on the scene, to provide emergency healing magic if accidents happen.
Remember, Elijahs death is only because when they found out what happened, it is already too late and A let it happen for the data.If there's help on the scene, I suspect she will definitely survive.
so

-[X] If anything goes wrong, provide healing magic no matter what.

OK, your choice is better.

So what would vampires created by Nostefaru classify as then?

I highly doubt the minions are an abnormality in and of themselves. As you imagined it.

The hard evidence we have is, the minions don't revive once killed (unless they are Apostles but we don't talk about those). While they are part of the abnormalities themselves, they aren't immortal like their parents are. (10 mini-CENSORED won't pop back out into existence again, if CENSORED, killed 10 before he was contained, break out again).

Therefore, the possibility of the Bloodfiends being a product of the Abnormality Nostefaru (who was captured by Lob Corp), isn't low.

ANYWAY.

NO TO ROMAN too! The guy is our working partner for now. Seriously. Use someone more expendable. Don't kill our main source of information in the Vale Underworld.

EDIT: REMEMBER!! AN EGO TAKEOVER IS STILL POSSIBLE!!

Actually, why not just ask Roman to find an expendable Aura unlocker in the Vale Underworld for us?

Edit: can't find who I was trying to quote
So, uh... Bloodfiends existed in the city before the distortion did.

Edit: here is a direct quote from where I learned this stuff + a link

Bloodfiends
Leaders:
24 Elder Bloodfiends.
A lineage of vampires that trace their origin to Nosferatu. Having received the "gift" from his mansion, they eventually settled in the City. They decided to establish rules to ensure they could avoid detection and harvest blood inconspicuously, they even culled their numbers down to a select few. Settling in each District, each clan is led by an Elder, although there is the occasional rogue element that exposes themselves and causes havoc.

Like vampires of myth, they harvest blood by extracting the veins of humans. This often converts the victim to a fellow Bloodfiend, where they will then seek out more blood. Bloodfiends are categorized as either those with a violent rampaging desire for blood, or those with cunning who manipulate and convert victims. The hungrier a Bloodfiend is, the deeper and clearer their red eyes will be.

Offshoots, but I do not think Nosferatu created them. I believe Nosferatu exists because Bloodfiends do, representing them as a concept.

Funnily enough, this and just voting Roman would have the same result. He is not nearly dumb enough to push aura into an alien horror or risk Neo to do it.

I am aware? Not quite sure where that comment is going.

I missed the whole argument, but my headcannon is that Nosferatu is natural abnormalitiy like the birds and bloodfiends are actually his minions similar to how Queen Bee, Melting Love or [CENSORED] works.

[X] Ash

She has Aura and she's not gonna snitch to anybody.

I don't really want our mini angelica to die because of a freak accident, let's ask roman for expendable clerks.

At this point, the only sure thing is that the phenomenon are related, basically.

He is not nearly dumb enough to push aura into an alien horror or risk Neo to do it.

It is so sad that he died in canon.

One of the most enjoyable character get killed for nothing, i wish he is a villain like the rocket team that shows up every three or four episodes, that will keep me hooked to the end.

eh, You made my point more clear.
Now, about Naturally generated distortions
it could happen, A set of ego was manifested by kali before any seed of light shenanigans really kicked off, So why not the opposite end?
It is just really hard when you are doing it yourself without outside "help", Because most of the guys who distort all manifest ego is because ayin or Carmen is helping them.

eeh, I see it more as a consequence of the Light itself rather than Carmen and Ayin specifically. They definitely do push people off the edge, but the amplified emotions caused by the White Nights and Dark Days are what drove them to that seaside cliff so to speak. If all the two had were their words, they would be having a lot more trouble.

Library of Ruina game update: I got through all of the Lower Floor Realizations last weekend, I've been having a blast with the E.G.O. Pages. I've already defeated the Proxies and should probably fight the Red Mist next. I want to fight her with our resident Arbiter and The Cooler Red Mist, but their Floors are relatively weak at the moment. I'll have to rethink Gebura's Thumb decks and Binah's Assistants Roman, Ash, and Jaune are neither equipped to do anything nor have they beaten Big Bird yet because of my procrastination.

I'll probably use the Proxies books to go through more General Invitations first. Gather up all the possible options. If nothing else, I could probably just kit them out in the Index Proxy Key Pages. Haven't found a good place for those anyway and the Blade Unlock Mode boosts and Pages could help them survive.

Binah stuff is built to hard counter the Red Mist. If you want an easy time + fun + revenge fight, I'd recommend using her against Red Mist (plus building her floor up early is good since shes fairly strong).

The man was LITERALLY the only reason I managed to last as long as I did till Beacon became a wreck.

Personally, seeing that Neo was still alive managed to give me hope that we would see her revenge soon… and then she got on a bus for two whole seasons, plus half another, snd she decided to ally with Cinder, again, despite Cinder literally being the reason of Roman's death, and no, I don't see Ruby as such, he was killed by a griffon attracted here by Cinder, she is the one that should be punished. And by the way, I seems to remember Neo attacking Cinder while visible when she tried before Cinder *convinced* her it was Ruby, if it's the case, wow, talk about plot armor indeed, seriously, given how good Neo is, she could just try to slit her throat while she sleeps instead of revealing herself.

I want to fight her with our resident Arbiter and The Cooler Red Mist,

Can confirm, big bird can make her infinite value speed dice not matter, the pillars destroy great split: vertical by not allowing her to recycle, chains can remove speed dices, lock can make cards too expensive for her and fairy is bleed on steroids.
