OOC, the voters clearly just didn't invite him yes (Though people did repeatedly mention the issue). IC though he could easily not think anything of it, as once Gao Jin didn't go it was no longer the whole brotherhood anyway, so defaulting to one of Yin's friends and one of Yang's is a pretty natural thing.
I propose we go and prevent the extinction of the redheads!

Li Gai showing his competence to Yang and making a connection there is probably more helpful to him then monopolizing a font, considering he has access to a minimum of three already beyond this one.
I very much doubt Yang would try to take over the font in the first place though.

I'd rather wander and then go for the Font next week... asking a Guan Zhi as well this time.
It would be crazy for Buns to try to wrangle her boss into conflict with our group. She's not a long time trusted second of Yang or anything, she's someone Yang begrudgingly took on when she realized she couldn't avoid a posse. Stirring up conflict like that would lose her way more than it would gain.

They're both petty and vindictive, but since this isn't actually supporting Ling's faction. Making a show of disapproval for gratuitous humiliation seems fine, might help in establishing some more moderating norms of behavior for the first years, rather than everyone thinking it's open season and spiraling out of control.

First you'd need to reach an agreement to keep it secret, and that will likely be based on mutual use of the Font for both factions, I suppose. Sure Yang's faction will want to keep it for themselves, but it'd be nice for our group to have exclusive rights.

Why? Doesn't appear to gain us much, most of the group is probably not even going to use it. Unless you want to spend time trying to set up a business selling access or something. But at this point I'm skeptical such a business would see many takers this late in the year.
In comparison, wandering has the likely result of just not finding anything, likely leaving Yang less interested in future collaboration. Or even in the case we do find something, it's quite possibly something that would hurt much more to split than a font.
Ah, it's something we can buy? I thought it was more like a permission slip we needed to earn. That's not bad then.

We'll be friendlyish with both, but getting between the two is gonna be pure ouch.
As for the Font, the group isn't going to be big enough to hurt usage rights. It'd be fine, and more people would be good if we had to fight a bear.

I'm not thinking of selling anything. At a certain point we're going to need more Fonts to fuel our cultivation, the more people use it the less boost we're likely to get from it.

We spend a lot of time with SC at mealtimes, so this feels more akin to a statement of neutrality than just sitting by. It also does just feel a little icky what's being done here, but I can see where SC is coming from.

It is fine Kreen, we will deal with what comes. Next time we just need to be sure to consider in-universe connections and reasons. It was good you put Guan Zhi aside and not Li Gai tbf, GZ is more cool-headed and more reasonable.
These are all first year sites though, we won't be able to use them after that. So since we're unlikely to get beyond mid Spirit by years end regardless, hoarding them doesn't do much for us.
