To Save Your World, Again [Getimian Exalted]

Springs are inspirational, lead from the front types. "Warrior-poets and guardians" -- a trained martial artist who studied under an eccentric Exalted master with strange mehods fits for all the Getimian Castes, generally, but Springs make sense for straightforward warriors about as much as Summers do. Just, you know, Summers tend to be outright destroyers and conquerors.
Yeah, that's probably fair - I was eyeing the synergy between the Exalt milestones for Springs and a social build, but all the castes have some potential variance built in, and there's some good synergy for one of the Exalt milestone conditions for Autumns and a social build too.

We don't need people to believe that we've been somehow transported from a better Grieve, we built that Grieve we'll just rebuild it. People believing us is incidental.

Look, seriously, Winter has a boring aesthetic, Spring makes us have a cherry blossom anima

you know what needs to happen

The line about compassion and sacrifice in Autumn's description sells for me this one.

Seems fit for the premise here, eh? The protagonist has lost everything, but by their loss of their Grieve, this Grieve will gain salvation.

The fun thing about Autumns is that their main strength seems to be in empowering and drawing strength from a network of allies. Like, Springs make for inspiring, charismatic leaders who people just instinctually like. Autumns are better at protecting and building up those connections themselves, though, in a way that ties into some of my favourite social stuff they can do (they fit in really well with the Devil-Queen's Court charm and its numerous upgrades/modes, as presented in Essence).

The more I'm thinking about this, the more I'm realising that I just like the Autumn option for this scenario more. The protagonist's old strength having been in large part being really good at talking to and generally dealing with people, even as just an exceptional mortal, gestures at an emphasis on exploring those important relationships and how the people involved in them have changed here in the real Creation.

The more I'm thinking about it, the more I realise that my main reasons for voting for the Winter option is a combination of that raksha sounding like a very cool NPC, and wyld-touched sorcery being particularly fun. These are valid reasons! But I think that I might want to see how this pans out with the other option instead.

I have just made it a tie again, so enjoy these fan mockups of the three options' Caste Marks:

...You make a strong case. I don't know that I'm prepared to drop my prior vote, but I'll approval vote this one.

The mystical power to force reality into the shape of your will vs. the ability to talk good? It's no contest.

Well, this is a tremendous amount of response for me! I'm very glad to see it; thank you all for checking this out. I'm going to leave this open for about another day, then close it, so I can write the next update without its contents rather ironically having to change on me.

I am honestly tempted to vote for every option, as they are all good, but ehh.

Look guys, magical girl kung fu cherry blossom aura.

It's just so extra and I love it. Also, we don't really have any good Exalted quests that delve into Martial Art Society stuff either, so it has novelty factor going for it!

There's a running joke about Z's quests always ending up locked up in ties.

So... this is very funny.
