Card Fantasy

She decided to evolve the one she is holding, ignoring the three new Job Cards once more. At the same time, she picks the three consumable cards before discarding the others on her mindscape.

The image of the once hunter card changes with a bright light, before showing off a new image of the card. The image is a great contrast to the girl's former appearance. She now looks very grown up, looking down on the front of the image with a predatory gaze and a toothy grin. She is still holding a bow that seems to shine beautifully at the background where the full moon shines brightly, illuminating her figure that is clad in white and red.

After glancing at the image on her mindscape, she put her attention to the real world once more. Turning her gaze back to Natalie.

"Okay. You can use that invisibility power you told me." Taylor finally said, looking at her with a bit of trust.

The girl nodded, before muttering something that Taylor can't understand other than the last part.

"■■⬤ [Astralize]"

Then the girl just vanishes instantly, causing Taylor to widen her eyes in surprised. "Natalie? Are you there?" She asks while glancing around for a bit, before looking back on where she seen her last.

"Yes, I am here Master." She heard her voice there. Her voice seems to sound pretty inaudible, like that of a soft whisper that trails off from the wind.

".... Oh. Where are you?"

"I am still.... sitting... on this place...?" She heard the quiet whispering tone of her summon, still sounding unsure with her words as she says that.

"Oh." She looks at the area besides her, feeling a bit weird. Just staring at air like this, even though she heard her saying she is still besides her. "Okay..." Taylor said with a sigh before continuing with a question. "So, what's that word. The one you said before becoming invisible?" She asks.

She recalls that voice that seems to have been fast forwarded, and then encrypted by some sort of broken record, that also sounded in both forward and reverse. It honestly gives her a bit of a headache just trying to recall what she heard on Natalie casting her spell.

".... Witch Language?" She said, sounding unsure.

"Witch Language?"

".... Yes."

Taylor looks a bit confused. "I thought you can't remember anything. Where did you learn that?" She asks with a confused look.

".... When I... touch the energy inside me...?" She said, still sounding unsure with the words she is using, though she seems a bit knowledgeable of the phenomenon that happened within herself.

'Wait, so she just learned a new language by just tugging on her own energy?' She thought, a bit surprised at that. 'Oh... powers are weird...' She decided to dismiss the thought with a shrug.

"So, what now Master?" The girl asks once more with that quiet and whispering tone.

"Now. I think you should start calling me Taylor." Taylor said, now finally getting to that part. As her problems of where she needs to hide her seems to have been solved with this, it's time to think about some of the stuff, like how she regards her.

".... Taylor?"

"Yes. Call me Taylor."

".... Okay.... Taylor...." The whispering tone seems a bit reluctant, but Taylor can hear some murmurs which she understands as the girl trying to remember it by muttering it under her breathe.

"Now... I think we haven't eaten yet. So why don't we get something to eat?" She said and after hearing the voice of consent of the girl, she stood up, deciding to whip up something simple.

After evening comes, she decided to sleep along with her summon once more. Though she really can't see where is she, as Natalie is invisible somehow.

She have spent the night eating a meal together with her father, and then sneaking out some for Natalie before they go back to sleep.

Taylor is currently staring at the ceiling, while she hears the gentle and quiet snoring of Natalie that seems to come just above her face.

She just learned this, but Natalie admitted that she can float and pass through solid objects when she was in this state. Basically, she acts like a ghost. Now Taylor is pretty interested at what else Natalie can do.

Though even if she says that, it is a problem that Natalie is always unsure of her own words. Taylor is thinking of spending her time teaching her for a bit. Natalie seems to be smart if she can use the write words even without context.

As for fighting crime, that's not going to happen. Her summon is a literal young girl. That young girl is also someone who is unaware of many things in this world. So Taylor didn't want her to go outside. Not unless she is sure she can protect her.

Now that she thinks about it, she have a lot of cards within her mind. Though she don't know what's the effects of those cards, she can infer their effects by just reading their name. She wonders what will happen if she uses one of those consumable cards.

School day is fast approaching. Tomorrow will be December 29. Which means the day to go back to school is getting near. She will only have a few days before the next semester. She needs to plan some things.

As she is thinking about that, she heard the sounds of shuffling cards within her mindscape. As she has become used to it, she decided to look through the new draw.

She can see the usual three and all the consumable cards are familiar. It's the Fireball, Freeze, Pit Hole, Invisibility, and Thunder Strike.

Though the one thing she is surprised about the instinctual feeling of choice occuring within the only card she holds. There are two new choices within that card.

'What?' She thought in surprised. 'I thought that will be the last one?' Despite thinking so, the truth of the matter is that there are two new choices within her mindscape.

She focused her attention on the cards, stretching her metaphysical grasps on her cards, and then decided what to do with them. Along with that is her plans for the next few days.

'It would be bad if I suddenly summon someone. Though I don't know why, but I don't feel like changing the one I am holding right now.' She thought to herself, before focusing her attention to the three cards.that depicts a warrior, an archer, and a mage.

She decided to pick the Warrior, and dismissed all the others with her metaphorical hand. She sees her chosen card shining, before slowly changing. Showing an image of an elven beauty with a greek cast on her features, clad in an armor made of bronze, and carrying a circular shield with one of her hand, and another gripping a spear which is both made of bronze.

She stares at it for a bit, before shrugging and then thinking of something for tomorrow. With that, she sleeps.

Early in the morning, she wakes up and quickly go downstairs to take care of her appearance. She also takes care of the meal. Which is something a bit special, as New Year's Eve will be tomorrow.

She looks inside the fridge and see some ham. It seems like it was newly bought. Having decided to cook that and also pair it with a salad, she immediately goes to work.

The end result is that it is passable. Though it is not palatable. Her Dad doesn't seem to mind, or maybe he is just that out of it as he barely talks to her other than the occasional greeting, and questions of how their days are coming.

After awhile, he told her that he also bought some new groceries and it's on the pantry and the refrigerator, before leaving the house. Now alone here, she can finally let Natalie eat.

"You can come out now, Natalie!" She called out, and gasps in surprised when the form of her summon in her school uniform suddenly pops up already sitting on the table and looking at her. "Oh.... your there..." She said, not knowing that she has been sitting there. She thought she is still in her room and sleeping on the air.

"Yes." Natalie simply nodded. Tilting her head and not really knowing what is wrong with it.

Taylor sighs before shaking her head. "It's nothing. Just warn me next time if your close." Taylor said, which the girl nodded before Taylor continued. "Anyway, you should eat those. It will get cold soon."

The girl nodded once again, before turning her head to the remaining ham sandwich and the salad on the bowl. She started slowly eating, quiet and a bit reserved while glancing at her occassionally.

While that is happening, Taylor is staring at the girl. Taking a sit on the chair besides the magical girl, before speaking.

"So, can I test something from you. I have this something inside my mind that I might be able to use for you. Also, it is safe so you don't have to worry!" She quickly reassured, despite the girl not reacting that much.

Natalie just nodded. "Okay, Ma...... Taylor." She said, stopping for a bit, before staring at her.

"... So... just continue eating. I think it will still activate even if you are doing something." Taylor said, and as the girl complied and continue with her breakfast, Taylor quickly looks through her mindscape where she can see the cards she is holding within her metaphorical grasp.

She scrolls through it with her intent alone, quickly finding the familiar card showing an eye on it. The Reveal Info card. She really don't know what it can do, but she thinks it might help her learn more about the girl. It will also let her see what her Consumable Card can do.

Just like how she summoned her, she decided to think of using the card. Her face scrunching up for a bit as she felt some sort of energy coming out of her body, before letting her feel an instinctive urge that is asking her for a target. Quickly, she picks Natalie as the target, and then she saw the Reveal Info card vanishing.

Along with that happening is the book that suddenly fell on her lap. Causing her to be surprised, and after that is for Natalie to immediately stand up with a tense expression after hearing her gasping in surprised.

"What is it, Master!?" She asks with a look of concern on her face and also of alertness.

"Ah, no.... it's nothing!" Taylor quickly shakes her hand, waving her hand in dismissal as she glances at the book laid on her lap.

The girl is still a bit tense, though she glances at the book and then at her Master, before nodding slowly and then taking a seat. She is still glancing at her occasionally, though her hand is slowly taking the ham sandwich once more.

While that is happening, Taylor managed to get her calm back. Looking at the book and then taking it. She raises her eyebrows when she saw the title of the book, which is the card where Natalie originated from. Ultimate Magical Girl.

The book is a bit bulky, and it's more heavy than an encyclopedia. It feels a bit overwhelming, though she decided to look at the first page.

Her eyes widened when she reads the introductory page of the girl. Which is essentially a table of contents about Natalie and everything about her. Her eyes immediately moving to some pages, and then her eyes quickly getting glued to a certain part. Specifically, her species.

"Your a Goddess?" She muttered, causing Natalie to perk up. Taylor is still not done, going back a few pages and seeing her rather short biography.

The biography which told her the cause of her birth. The birth which is stated to be originating to her, the one who created her.

'.... I created her..... a real Goddess.... created by me!?' Her eyes widening, before looking at the girl who is now looking at her with a worried look.

"What is wrong, Ma.... Taylor?" She asks with a tilt of her head.

Taylor is silent, before shaking her head. "No, I am fine. Just a bit surprised at the contents of this book." She said before dismissing it. "I'll tell you soon." She said.

The girl nodded, before deciding to finish eating right now. While Taylor looks at the other pages, seeing that she have a lot of entries to her abilities and feats that she can do. All of it is accurate, from the scale, limitations, anything.

It's a really bulky book, and just looking at the final page, she can see that it is approximately 6,000+ pages. This large book all dedicated to a girl who barely has a history, but have a humongous amount of abilities within her. Abilities that are further separated by all the sub-branches of those main abilities.

It's crazy. She can't believe that the girl she created through her own imaginary cards is someone incredible. She have Infinite Magical Power, and also Unlimited Potential. The Infinite Magical Power can be used to be an inexhaustible source of her own powers and energy, while Unlimited Potential seems to remove the cap for her to grow at anything, whether it's prowess or intellect, or even something esoteric like magic.

That's just the bare minimum of what she reads, and it's already overwhelming for her.

'.... What should I do with this?' She thought to herself in wonder.

To finally have the confirmation that the girl is not a really elaborate projection, but a real person. That she is the one who created a real living being, and a Goddess at that. She felt a complex amount of emotions. Maybe there is pride, or anxiousness, or fear, or maybe she is just happy. She can't understand it herself.

As she is being immersed with her own thoughts, she heard another shuffling of cards. Showing the three usual cards once more along with the five consumable cards. The consumable cards shows the two familiar ones which are Potion and Treasure Chest, though the other three are new.

One is an image of a sword with some sort of energy coating it. Another card shows an image of a stickman with their body slumping down and some depressing lines above the image that seems to darken as it gets to the top. Then the last card shows of three letter "Z" that is arranged in a curved diagonal, with the bottom left being the smallest Z, and the top right being the largest Z.

She gazes at them for a bit, before deciding on what to do.
