Yeah, he has enough monsters if crap hits the fan he could come out alive at least. Zabu, Death Stalker, Chameleon Drake, and the Craterpede can handle combat well enough, Fancy can take him away from the fight if things go badly, the elephant can knock down some walls or people that got in it's way, lastly the bird whose species I forgot can keep an eye out for large groups moving to his location and warn him before they get close enough to engage. It's only been a day since he got here, I won't hold it against him for not thinking of having the bird act as a relay while he's doing other things, he has animal language to speak and give instructions to his summons, really want to see more use out of that power myself. The Shield can keep whatever he wants safe, but only that one thing at a time.
Going loud may work out better for the MC but the risk to others is greater I think. Clearing the brothel saves the villagers, but puts Gato's safety in the hands of a shinobi who would be on the alert for us, who would just escort him off to the capitol if they're not confident they can beat Andy, while attacking directly gets everyone of Gato's men together and the shinobi into a brawl we shouldn't have to start. Gato getting away represents a threat to the village I think, because he would assume the village hired a ninja to kill him, which could lead to him escalating back with a stronger ninja to do who knows what to the village in retaliation.
Speaking of the shinobi, do we know he's the only one? Part of Naruto that even most veterans of this series would overlook is ninja don't travel alone if they can help it, from Genin all the way to Jonin they always travel in twos for safety, you see this in other Hidden Village shinobi as well, even the Akatsuki travel in twos when doing what they do. How can our MC say for sure that one shinobi was all there is? The only exceptions I know who would travel alone were Jiraiya, a legendary Sannin of Konoha, and that's all I remember. Orochimaru had Kabuto when he was injured and Tsunade had Shizune for company and as an apprentice. Zabuza had Haku to train and watch his back as well, so other then extremely powerful shinobi, most will have a partner to watch their back on missions.
The options on leaving with Inari and Tsunami could work, but we all know Inari will hate it and be an absolute pain in the butt, no amount of elephant rides is gonna help with his problems while traveling. On that note, how would you travel with them along? Fancy can only carry one person as a phantom steed per his wiki, you could put both of them on the elephant, but that still slows you down. You would have more problems trying to get them on the bigger monsters as well, they're not well suited to carrying a person for one, scary to be near for two, can't afford to be seen by others while riding them for three.
As for those options that have you go on your own, there are a lot of issues to fret over. He would need a map for navigation seeing as he has no idea where anything is, he doesn't need any feed for his summons of course, but supplies will be harder to get in a village occupied by bandits and are barely managing to survive under Gato's thumb. Then there's his biggest issue, an ID for checkpoints. Maybe ninja can get by avoiding them in missions, but that just means lethal measures are okay for any confrontation against them, remember Kisame and Itachi sneaking around Konoha and the response being a Jonin free for all. It would be a safe assumption having Tsunami and Inari would cover that but he's still an illegal immigrant as far as any government would care to classify him.
As for the assassination, things can go wrong there too. Maybe there is more then the one shinobi we saw, or Gato sends out that one shinobi to check out any commotion we might cause instead of going for himself. Even if things work out, the bandits left in the village might decide to take everything not nailed down before they run, like jewels and money to even the girls from that brothel, or they decide to try and stay, make hostages of the villagers to make you leave.
I wanted to share my thoughts about the choices we have, but I'm starting to worry I'm being overly critical, I really enjoy reading this and would hate to upset anyone who is too.
Finished! @Kejmur
What are the chances the Death Stalker won't just run into town and kill all the commonera in account if them feeling the worst compared to Gato and his men?
[X] Creature Roll: Second Roll (500)
[X] Chit Chat
-[X] Tell Tzuna and Tsunami that currently your Creatures include a giant centipede that can only take permeant damage if you destroy everything but the face, a giant scorpion that's attracted to negative emotions to hunt, an elephant, a spirit Shield, a large warrior bug, and the ones you've already seen and told about.
-[X] If you can give me a week, possibly less, to try and pop more out I should be able to handle anything but high end Shinobi Gato might hire. And maybe even that much In the meantime I have the ability to communicate with any animal no matter the species, and I intend to turn the whole of the island animals against Gato. To spy and attack about the time I do.
I also want to see what the dear Author has set up for the Konoha visit and the Capital but that can wait till Gato is dead and we free to go see what has been happening while home is safe.
[X] Take Tsunami and Inari with you. Try to go to the Konohagakure directly. You may offer your services when you end up there. Or simply try to set up 'payment in installments' if possible.
What are the chances the Death Stalker won't just run into town and kill all the commonera in account if them feeling the worst compared to Gato and his men?
Well, usually if you give a Creature a command in the Menagerie they will follow it to the best of their ability. As long as he tells it where not to go and who not to kill it won't do either.
There are absolutely creatures in the Menagerie I'd worry would have a risk of attacking civilians, but Grimm are on the lower end of that list in terms of risk. It's the smart and malevolent/amoral ones you need to look out for.
[x] Set up 'Assassination' plan with Chameleon Drake being the main monster to use. Most likely using your other creatures as a distraction near Gato's mansion.
Well, I'm awake. It's time to answer some posts . I will close the vote around... 7,5 hours (more or less) from the moment this post is up, in whatever timezone you are in, to make it easier. I will try to post today, but just in case it may be delayed for tomorrow.
Okay, given the situation and the amount of danger that could happen, a power roll would help and free up some of Andy's creatures from bodyguard duty.
As for what we should do... I'm more inclined to act fast, but I wouldn't say no to more intel. However, I'm leaning towards the assassination plot despite its apparent dangers.
Just to add something - sometimes options will disappear or people will react to your actions. Just like a pirate crew, that right now isn't available.
It's only been a day since he got here, I won't hold it against him for not thinking of having the bird act as a relay while he's doing other things, he has animal language to speak and give instructions to his summons, really want to see more use out of that power myself.
He is a reasonably intelligent guy, but he also isn't experienced in commanding and combat for obvious reasons. I will make him make mistakes, and yeah, he has flaws.
And yes, I will focus on creatures more in this chapter. Machine theme, some talk, etc.
The options on leaving with Inari and Tsunami could work, but we all know Inari will hate it and be an absolute pain in the butt, no amount of elephant rides is gonna help with his problems while traveling.
Yeah... Inari is a traumatized child, and those kinds of situations require a very delicate approach. He also isn't a psychologist, or a charisma god Naruto. Because Naruto with just one speech could suddenly make Gaara somewhat sane, or convince Pein to trust him while abandoning his own beliefs that he followed for years.
It would be problematic, but most likely he would try to put Inari on his own on Phantom (as I made him pretty much sapient as a magical creature, so he wouldn't do it hard for the kid), and go Elephant himself, with Tsunami possibly also being there. Elephants are really good swimmers, so this isn't that big of a problem. But yeah, it would slow them down. Fancy is temperamental, but he would be gentle with the kid.
But yes, logistics would be problematic. Getting the horse in the Land of Fire would be a priority.
As for those options that have you go on your own, hahahahaha I would love to see anyone from our day and age travel through the countryside not getting lost without Google maps. Sure they can give him one, be back to finish this.
He has a compass in his inventory, but yeah, he would struggle at first. He isn't as bad as most people, as he kind of is a farm boy (that I hinted at with him knowing how to ride a horse a bit, which is rare by itself these days), so he knows at least how to use a compass. But well... he doesn't know the land anyway.
@Kejmur
What are the chances the Death Stalker won't just run into town and kill all the commonera in account if them feeling the worst compared to Gato and his men?
As mentioned before by some people, your creatures will mostly follow your orders. Death Stalker, while cunning, I don't consider super intelligent in those circumstances. It may be more aggressive sensing negative emotions, but it won't lash out on its own.
The problem may be that it may struggle to recognize the foe from the friend, especially when distracted by negative emotions, but in this case, he will set up specific order to minimize the risk.
And in a way, I don't think Andy should force the issue or try to meddle here. Inari needs to work through his grief, and (whether or not Inari knows it) he does have cause not to trust Andy; he is bumbling in from left field with too much info. I figure, even if heroic inclinations, shone trope and years of visits, Inari is going to need time to accept this weird chakra-less Outsider.
Ngl, I'm interested in how you'll introduce the Grimm( even if the Deathstalker is one of many mook tier). If Killing Intent, Moryo or Zero-Tails are anything to go by then negativity plays a poignant role here. One that could easily backfire, and send our Deathstalker into a frenzy, and that's something nobody would wants.

He won't. He isn't a trained therapist/psychologist to even try to approach this kind of situation. And he understands the basics enough to not do it.
Hmm... if I go with 'Yamanaka are pretty good therapists' fanon, it may be another reason to go to Konoha. But there is also a popular fanon, that shinobi don't have anything like that in the first place. Taking into account how they 'took care' of Sasuke after his clan was massacred, and cases like Kakashi, I think I'm aiming more for the second fanon. As sad as it is.
Well, introducing a therapy may be a fun way to do it in the potential 'Hokage route'.
Obviously. It will take time, no doubt about it. Unless you leave the Wave, which is an option. Pretty much do your job and move on.
This route isn't a completely bad one, because you may become a pretty big target. In this case, people like Tsunami or Tazuna may become leverages to use against you. Pretty much do it for their own safety. Later on, it will be a very important choice, where I will show what Andy wants to do after the Wave. If you go for it, it won't be an easy decision, that's for sure, as well, he is still a lonely guy, who in this case will pretty much leave the only people he is somewhat close with.

Hey @Kejmur, sorry about the piecemeal edit, was at work on break and couldn't finish in time. About what I put in that post, will papers be an issue for him, or would something like that not be an issue in this world? I thought border guards looking out for crossing ninja was a thing what with rogue ninja being a possible danger to any Lands they enter.
Posting an informational post about potential captures that don't show up in Celestial Menagerie, and are possible to pick up. I'm not pricing them yet, but obviously, this will change. Just something for the future . Also answering some worldbuilding questions.
There are also many named Summon Toads, so maybe I will add them. And Kakashi's Ninken (also a maybe). The list may be updated obviously. I swear there was a Giant Tiger in the Forest of Death, but I can't find any screenshot/picture of it, so it's not included.
As for those options that have you go on your own, there are a lot of issues to fret over. He would need a map for navigation seeing as he has no idea where anything is
He may always ask the natives for the map, which isn't that big of a deal. An issue may be map reading. Our civilization isn't used to using standard, classic maps. He is better at it than average Joe, but he may still have issues.
Kisame and Itachi were also pretty scary S-Rank missing-nin.
The way I see this is that shinobi have outposts in most crucial spots on their country borders, and sometimes in the middle of it in some important places (like nearby rivers or crop fields), and spots they can't cover, they organize routine patrols. Although their border control is nowhere near as advanced as ours.
But most of the times 'civilians' pretty much use standard roads. I would compare them to the roads made in Ancient Rome times. Made out of solid stone/massive bricks, more adapted to travel via carts/horses, than vehicles as we know it. If you move outside of those roads, and show any weird abilities, you may be stopped, and interrogated.
An important note here is that in the Land of Snow cars do exist. Sometimes fanon uses the concept of old-fashioned cars that show up in Naruto, and possibly I will follow it. But with urbanization outside of big cities being very, very primitive you will mostly see either small models, or trucks designed to go through the most difficult terrain.
If we would look for what I imagine here, it would be something similar to Avatar: The Legend of Korra, but maybe even more primitive.
At the very least we have durability on our side. Half of our creatures strongest aspects is how hard they are to bring down. Grimm don't have vitals to target(and Death Stalkers in specific being among the most armored varieties), Warrior Bugs can take fairly powerful weaponry without taking much in the way of damage, and the Craterpede is not only tough it has to be killed in a fairly specific way too.

I am still not sure what to do... Maybe it is good idea to be bold and quick - make problem disappear fast and then deal with aftermath? I'll vote for powers at least.

2. Creature Roll: Second Roll -> 1
3. Power Roll: Second Roll -> 6

1. Set up 'Assassination' plan with Chameleon Drake being the main monster to use. Most likely using your other creatures as a distraction near Gato's mansion. -> 5

Ok, Power Roll twice. Let's see what we get...
Roll: D125=32 Adaptive Camouflage (100)
Roll: D125=52 Size Augmentation (300)
Banked Points: 100
Well... those are some pretty good rolls. Adaptive Camouflage will make it a bit easier to set up a surprise. Size Augmentation makes some tanks even tankier, as, in the end, their role (one of the chosen ones, may swap) be to occupy people, and not straight up chase them. So yeah, I think you have nothing to complain about .
Andy decides that Rumbling Pirates missing should make things easier. Also, as long as Gato doesn't know about him, he should take advantage of it. Tsunami and Tazuna may slowly make sure that as many people are evacuated as possible, while Andy may try to apply his plan.
"Gato… can't stay alive." He states, not completely confident, but determination is visible in his eyes. "This plan wouldn't really work, but with Chameleon Drake, that creature that may turn invisible I mentioned before. What we need is to bait Gato in the open, and assassinate him this way." Andy states, thinking about the logistics of this action.
"This is your choice in the end. You know your monster better than we do." Tazuna neutrally says, and Andy simply nods, but the truth is that when it goes to this whole summoning thing, he is still a greenhorn with just 1 day of the experience. Part of Andy wonders in amazement that it's just one day, and he is already a partner to 7 different creatures.
Celestial Menagerie wants me to succeed. Well, I also want to succeed as well, because it's my life on the line here. But again, I can't simply let those people suffer.
"Yes. I assume you will warn people about what is coming." Andy takes a bite of the sushi piece on his table, and well, it is pretty good.
"I will simply tell people, that there is a rumor of someone new hired by Gato. I will correct this, once you are done with your part, but in the end, the best way to make everyone be careful, and hide when they can is by saying 'Gato is preparing something nasty again'. While some may say that shinobi are 'snooping' around. That ninja you have talked about? This may make it move out of the villa. Hopefully."
Andy doesn't like this idea. In the end, he doesn't want to cause issues, and his creatures being connected to Gato in any shape and form leaves a bad taste in his mouth, but in the end, he is hardly a tactician/strategist. Going with some sort of 'ghost story' may work, but with those people most likely being used to the supernatural, it may simply not work, and they take it as a stupid rumor. And the last thing Andy wants is for everyone to stay in their homes, and get hurt.
"Any idea on how to get Gato out of his mansion?" Tsunami asks, joining the conversation.
"An idea would be to get Chameleon Drake set up a fire. It is a near sapient creature, so it will understand the command."
"Or I may prepare some homemade smoke bombs," Tazuna interjects. "One of your monsters may throw it through the windows. The sudden smoke should make them panic, at least some of them, and move out. Gato won't stay in a place he believes it's on fire. And you said it's too big to get close, and setting up a fire on a building made out of brick may be tricky. Especially in that humid climate. Anyway, we have several left, stolen from their barracks, so it should work."
Andy nods. Sounds simple. At least in theory. And theory in many cases doesn't simply work. In the end, at absolute worst, he may use one of his creatures to directly attack the fence of the mansion.
"My biggest unit will attack their barracks, to try to bait is as many of their people as possible, while also blocking them from running to the Gato's new villa as reinforcements," Andy states. It's a very basic plan. Pretty much 'divide and conquer' in the most basic form. He isn't an expert, so the plan must be as basic as possible. His African Elephant, especially with Machine Theme should easily do the trick. Standard, adult elephant is strong enough to push driving safari trucks and should rough them up thoroughly. Elephant's tusks and trunk should easily rough them up. Andy wants to avoid killing, still not used to the idea, but if any hostages will show up… it may be necessary. In the end, those people are complete scum. A more rational part tells him, that some of those people may not be completely guilty, but he shuts it down. This isn't a time to doubt himself.
Sudden warmth in his body tells him, that something good is coming. And it does indeed. Powers this time.
Roll: D125=Adaptive Camouflage (100)
Roll: D125=Size Augmentation (300)
Andy almost wants to shout in happiness. The Elephant distraction plan suddenly is more reliable, although there is a risk of collateral damage being even bigger. In the end… it will hopefully be worth it. Doing it as close to their barracks should limit it to at least bandits, and whoever they have as support.
And with Adaptive Camouflage he may send a second unit to the villa, to cut off any potential escape. This was the weakest part of the plan, Gato having a way to simply evacuate himself. It's still not reliable, but better than before. Death Stalker will do it. Keeping it away from the village may be preferred, as Andy is worried about how it may react to the negative emotions that the place must radiate now.
Let's hope it won't be bad.
"The second part will be that two of my units will go directly to the Gato's mansion, and throw those bombs for potential overkill. If not, I'm confident that one of them is strong enough to simply destroy the fence." Death Stalker should do it with no issues, as an additional distraction. Chameleon Drake as well, but it's far better it won't reveal itself just before the attack. If shinobi runs to the Elephant - even better, as it will open Gato for the attack. If not - they should at least occupy him hard enough, to buy time for one side to do their job. He will keep Craterpede close to himself, just in case, as the weakest link is him, and somewhat open terrain (a grass field with few basic trees) between the village and the villa to hide behind.
As Andy still needs to keep the eye on all of them. While the Toucan Puffin will be used to signal one of the sides when they are done by flying in front of their eyes or flying back to inform if something bad is coming. Binoculars should let him observe things in some way.
"Basic, and let's hope it works." Tazuna states. "Just in case I will arm some boys and will finish the strugglers, and other ones help the girls. They will be ready." Andy nods, with the plan being more or less ready.
"I need to wait for the evening for Fancy, my horse, to be able to be summoned. Just late enough that visibility is somewhat limited, but not dark. Also, I need Gato's picture/photograph so they know who to hunt. For the success." Andy does decide to take a sip of the sake, to calm his nerves, while ignoring his slightly shaking hands. Tsunami frowns but doesn't say anything.
There is just enough time to prepare and meet some of the companions he has yet to meet.
==============
The evening comes to a close. Pretty well-rested, and satiated Andy is prepared for the action. As much as he can. Part of him shakes on the knowledge that people will die. It's inevitable. That everything may turn into chaos. But it's too late now to back off.
Prepared, now in Kaiza's clothes, Tsunami gently hugs him, feeling him shaking.
"Be careful." She whispers. "If everything goes well, we will… need to talk." She looks at Andy worried but also determined. "Don't die."
"I won't." Hopefully. Andy checks the time. 6:30 PM should be about right. At first, he summons just in front of Tsunami's house Death Stalker with Adaptive Camouflage, Toucan Puffin in one of his arms, and Chameleon Drake.
The scorpion Grimm is slightly agitated, clearly looking in the direction of the village, but mostly it stays still. Andy sighs with relief - at least it's not a bad reaction. But with people panicking, and getting more desperate, it may get worse.
Also, Andy wonders how creatures that don't talk will 'communicate with him'. And the answer is pretty straightforward. It feels like a form of basic telepathy inside of his head translating directly the sounds any of his creatures release. The more complex thoughts of the creature are, the better it is at it.
Ready. Hunt. Orders. Death Stalker simply states in the complete monotone and pretty much doesn't add anything, with the sound that sounds like an old vinyl scratching sound effect mixed with rocks scratching. It's not pleasant, but thankfully not too loud. Grimm are cunning creatures, but it's what Andy expected from the mook tier Grimm really.
Hello. Nice to Meet You! Feed Me And I, Will Obey! Don't Like To Work Hard Though! A far more cheerful voice of the Toucan Puffin answers, and it does remind him of an Ara parrot. It's a beautiful bird, Andy observes with wonder, and turns his eyes to most likely his most intelligent creature, that is Chameleon Drake.
It's… bizarre. And ugly, but in a fascinating way. Dark Green-Brown Scales that remind him of an alligator or crocodile cover its body, with 4 pairs of snake-like eyes that move around in pretty much all possible angles, like the eyes of more standard chameleons. Yeah, this one is creepy.
<I'm ready to follow. What I'm supposed to do?> Near sapient indeed, Chameleon Drake. This sounds pretty much like the voice of someone, who smokes too much, a male one. Raspy, hoarse. In his head though, in person, it's kind of like a snake hissing.
"Hello to you three. Scorpio, Lax, and Sneak." Andy greets while showing which name belongs to who. Scorpio the Death Stalker, Lax as Toucan Puffin, and Sneak as Chameleon Drake.
"To keep it simple - Scorpio, follow Sneak, and when you are close to the place you are supposed to be, wait somewhere close, and attack whoever leaves it. If any of you is in trouble, support the other one. If no one leaves for a while - attack the building." Hopefully, the command isn't too complex for Scorpio, but the pincers that 'click' are pretty much a confirmation of order?
"Lax. Fly around me and our animal companions. And yes, I will feed you." Seeing the lazy bird almost being scandalized by hard work order wants to make him laugh, but it's a bad moment for it. Although it slightly allows Andy to relax. "And warn others of 'coming humans'. No matter who. And if you see us win, fly to the other side and start screeching, and flying in front of them. You two - don't attack our bird comrade." They nod
"While you Sneak have the toughest job." Andy pulls off a photograph. In the building, I will show you to wait, and kill this man." Andy pulls off pretty good photography of Gato. "This man MUST die. It's an absolute priority. If Scorpio attacks, just pick up any survivors." The sadistic glee and smile on Sneak's face make it looks even more disturbing, which is an achievement. "But first, pick that bunch of prepared smoke bombs." Andy pulls off prepared grenade-like items. "And throw them inside the building. Once done, same order on people."
With this, Andy shows his animal companions what are they supposed to do, and they move on, strangely unnoticed. That camouflage is GOOD. And the bird gets into the air.
Around 10 minutes later, he moves as close to the barracks as possible, knowing that in the building near his position, at the exit, wait Tazuna's men. They are around 50 meters from the barracks, hiding behind one of the buildings. The atmosphere is tense, but just in case it's better no one from the village is connected to his actions, just in case someone is spying on them.
"It's time to summon you… Babar." This needs to be quick, as the massive elephant, especially looking like some machine-like monstrosity will be VERY eyecatching. So he does his talk quickly.
The result is astonishing and very weird looking. Andy expected a robot, metallic one of sorts. This looks more like an abridged version of a normal elephant, with weird, unnatural skin attached to metallic parts. Later on, he will need to test it with other of his creatures, but Andy quickly looks at the new named Babar, and what it's made of. In the limbs, in some holes, he can see springs barely fitting inside, with bolts looking like they are stuck just between them, producing a grinding sound of breaking metal. Andy's ears don't enjoy the sensation. And the spiral way the trunk suddenly greets him and gently hugs him makes this bizarre creature look suddenly far more adorable. And it can pass off easily as some ninja puppet if a very massive-sized one. Andy hugs it back with gusto. It's a weirdo badass machine Elephant! Andy, focus.
"Hello, Babar. Do you like the name?" The Elephant confirms it by… signing in the air. Andy blinks at this, completely baffled. Not only because it's some sort of elephant sign language, and he understands it, but also because it's mute. Mute elephant. Is that because of the theme, or it's simply a very weird coincidence?
"To keep it quick body. That building over there." Andy shows with his hand, and Babar instinctively understands it. "Go there, and throw and push people around hard. Only males with… items in their hands. Watch out to not destroy things too hard, buildings." Andy raises up a machete, that he picked up in his hand, to show what he means. "Female ones, with higher-pitched voices, don't hurt." Andy struggles to really convey it, but Elephants are intelligent creatures. "With… growths on their chest." Andy wants to facepalm at his description, but he doubts Elephants are intelligent enough for it, so he shows with his hands what he means near his chest. Babar understands and suddenly rushed toward the building. Andy almost winces at the first screams of his victims.
Andy summons Fancy, and the horse, sensing how tense Andy is, this time doesn't do anything playful or temperamental. Andy rides on the horse to the position where he may observe everything with binoculars. The elephant does his job. More and more bandits get out, trying to stop the mammal behemoth, but it's impossible. Babar does follow the orders, mostly catching people with his tusks and trunks, and throwing them around like ragdolls. Yeah, many of those won't be standing up, that's for sure.
"It's time to summon Craterpede. No one is around us." Andy talks more to himself than to Fancy, but the Phantom Steed gets it, strangely serious. When Andy almost does it, he notices through binoculars a sight, that makes him almost want to cry, and rage at the same time.
He was worried about this situation. Part of him knew it. In the commotion, some girls do manage to escape, and some of Tazuna's men take advantage of the chaos, to hurt the thugs, but one of them, in desperation catches the young girl Andy remembers, the forced young girl prostitute by throwing her on the path of Babar's left tusk, swinging in that direction, in the worst moment for the girl.
The impaled little girl barely releases the scream, which is quickly silenced by what he suspects is her lungs being filled with her own blood. Babar confused, but also gently, recognizes that something wrong has happened, and gently slides the most likely dead girl to the ground, in the alley, so the body is not disturbed. Elephants do understand the concept of death, so this small gesture is weirdly touching. In return, it looks like his pitch-black eyes that look like made out of glass narrow, and this time Babar does not hold back. The bandit that threw the body of the starving young prostitute barely reacts to the machine elephant suddenly catching him with the trunk, and smashing him over the wall of the closest building several times, before nothing is left.
The result before the ending is… gruesome. So this is the strength of the enraged elephant, boosted even more by Size Augmentation. The pieces of bones, gushing out blood now shooting all around and organs splatting all around. Andy almost wants to puke on the sight. The feeling is even worse by the realization that because of his action someone so young ended up dead.
Fuck. Fuck! I knew people would die. I knew it could go wrong, but I didn't want to hurt anyone innocent like that. Gosh, I need to call it off. Most bandits are hurt, or dead at this point. No shinobi on the side, so most likely they are around Gato. I will… pray for your soul, I'm sorry, I really am. And reinforcements most likely after seeing this massacre backed off, or run away.
Distracted by the commotion, Andy does summon Craterpede, and the creature growls in greeting. Andy not even listening does hug it to himself. Even the feeling of the slimy tongue and sharp teeth don't make me stop thinking about the tragedy that he witnessed. Thankfully Craterpede sensing the distress of his owner, releases the cooing sounds of… sparkling electricity? It's such a weird sound, Andy realizes.
"Thanks. I feel… a bit better." While still feeling like shit, at least he is too busy to think about what has happened. He gestures towards the sky, and Lax quickly sits on his shoulder, not very happy with the amount of flying it does.
"Fly to Babar. Make him follow you. I will reward you afterward, and don't be so grumpy, go!" Lax, both annoyed, but still weirdly cheerful reacts to the command.
Andy quickly moves his observation towards the Gato's village. The smoke is already being released from the building, so this part of the distraction is working. Hopefully. When first people get out, and Death Stalker jumps on them, ripping them to shreds with its claws, Andy shudders. Yeah, seeing this kind of bloodbath in real life is far, far more… memorable. Andy wasn't ready for it. But he needs to get used to it, or he won't survive in this place.
Meanwhile…

"What are you lazy imbeciles doing!? Deal with those fucking monsters!? And you?! What do I pay you for?! Aren't you some shinobi, huh?! Do something?!" Gato screams more to himself, trying to ignore the carnage outside of his villa, both enraged, and also clearly worried. Deep down this means he is not only a cruel tyrant but also a coward.
"This is the best spot for your safety, you annoying old geezer. I'm waiting for the opening." Almost lazily, with a cheerful smile, VERY not fitting the situation young shinobi answers the Wave's tyrant. "It's clearly a shinobi attack. Your men do make for pretty good meatshields though." Dark-skinned Kumogakure Missing-nin pulls Gato behind himself, ignoring the protests of his current boss. "Yeah, they try to get us out. And they do a pretty good job. Now let me pick you up!" Ninja kid raises the midget in his arms and looks for one of the open windows, to quickly jump away and run towards the safety, most likely to one of the local forests.
When he does so, suddenly he is almost beheaded, but his very good reflexes barely save his life. The laughing now kid sets up his employer behind him. Which he is forced to push to the ground, as this time massive black pincers of Death Stalker almost finish the job. Gato trembles, because he both knows how close to death he was, while almost gaping at the shinobi brat almost looking… excited about the commotion.
"Wow! That was a close call. I'm Masaru!" When Masaru notices the four-eyed lizard-like monster disappears again, he is surprised by this. "Whoa! What a great camouflage! And now…" Scorpio tries again, but it misses yet again. It doesn't happen this time around with Sneaky this time managing to land an attack with his spear-like tongue, piercing the arm of the shinobi kid. Impressively, the young ninja barely releases the sound of pain from his arm.
He's hurt. It doesn't stop his mobility, but it makes the situation complicated, with one of his arms incapacitated. When the loud trampling sound on the horizon gets louder, Masaru decides to do what he needs to survive.
"You understand me, right?" Both monsters nod. "My rotten luck to end up facing Summons of all opponents. Just… let me go, ok?" At the flat look of Sneak, he chuckles. "I don't recognize you, so your owner must be some new guy. Like a really new one. And you guys are pretty strong, being able to handle an ex-chuunin like me. I will give you the money."
"Same here! Whatever you want! Just spare me!"
"You guys want to kill my new boss, eh?" Chameleon Drake nods at this. It blinks in confusion, when suddenly it notices Gato with a slit throat, laying on the ground, choking to death on his own blood. "There, problem fixed. You let me go, and I may talk with your boss, right? Also, here is the money." He throws the bag with something inside of it on the ground, that Sneak picks up. He understands the concept of the gift, but not money exactly.
"Don't kill me, as I'm not the only shinobi here. My big sis is around. In fact… your boss may be in trouble. See ya!" When their eyes widen at this, they quickly move to the position of their owner, while Masaru runs away in the other direction, knowing when he is beaten.

Andy witnesses what happens. The mission is a success, but the amount of dead or mortally wounded people is absurdly high, and while pretty much all of them are bandits, with a grimace he realizes that some call girls… died, mostly trampled by the commotion or retreating bandits. The very few survived. Andy knows that none of his creatures were really designed for hostage situations. No, The Shield is perfect for it, but a cowardly part of him wanted to keep him, just in case, for his own safety.
"Good job. I'm impressed. This is quite the chaos you caused there. You better damn hope my little brother isn't dead, or I will make you squeal like a pig while castrating and gutting you." Andy's eyes widen, turning around towards the beautiful ebony woman. The crossed Kumogakure headband shows where she comes from. Andy curses in his head and his Craterpede reacts by quickly turning around, and trying to bite the kunoichi while using its whole body like a shield around Andy and spooking out Fancy. She jumps away but is weirdly slow. When she grins and simply walks in, she gathers a lightning chakra in her hand, to punch Craterpede in its ugly mug. With a surprise, she realizes that the creature simply takes it, and roars in the challenge, trying for another bite, and this one lands. The confusion on its face is obvious when the woman suddenly tastes like… lightning.
"Weedy!" Andy calls its freshly named companion. "It's an electric clone!" When Andy notices standing on top of the creature kunoichi, with her fist raised to punch Andy in the face, the surge of fear and adrenaline lets him react in time!
"Aegis! THE SHIELD!" His best defensive summon reacts to the call, by summoning itself in a Shield Form, and covering perfectly the space between coiled around Andy Craterpede, creating the perfect 'rooftop' over Andy. Kunoichi frowns at this, and tried to punch it a few times, but with no effect.
"Good defense. I can tell you are a complete greenhorn, but you can already use your summons well? Are they summons though?" The kunoichi, what looks like a TaiJutsu specialist. "You summoned that shield from outside of your body… how interesting! New bloodline." Andy grimaces at this, not liking her conclusion. It's not correct, but it doesn't matter.
"Something like that," Andy grumbles under his nose. "Why do you care? You're a Missing-Nin anyway."
"True. I couldn't leave my little brother anyway, so I escaped with him. Sigh… he only forced a girl he fancied into some rough sex, and everyone suddenly was angry over it. She could simply stay quiet, and we would most likely pay her off or something. Hypocrites. Everyone in the know knows that we kidnap or bribe people, mostly women, to rape them for bloodlines." The woman nonchalantly states, which makes Andy grimace in barely hidden disgust. Yeah, there is something wrong with this woman, and most likely her brother as well. "Listen. I can't get through this defense, so let's simply stop. I need to find my brother, but we still need money."
"Gato is dead." Andy simply states.
"Ah, this fucking sucks." She grimaces. "My meal ticket. Although that annoying piece of shit had it coming."
"I'm fine with it. In fact, just rob Gato's mansion with the money, and leave this place. And we will be even." Andy wants to growl in anger, but he also knows that two shinobi can give him trouble behind the scenes, like taking Tsunami, Tazuna, or Inari as a hostage. So it's better to bribe them, to simply leave. This looks like a draw, and with all his creatures he should be able to handle those two, but… others are far more vulnerable.
"Bribing my sexy ass? I guess it will work. Nothing personal. Honestly, my idea, seeing what you do, was to bribe you or kidnap you, to buy our entry back to Kumogakure. Also for a guy, it's a pretty sweet deal, you know? Money, free villa, and lots of hot cunts to fuck. In fact, I'm fine with it myself. You have some potential, even if you don't look like much. Meh, if needed I may train you how to properly fuck me as well. So how about you take this deal, huh? It's not like this place has much left in the first place."
Andy flatly looks at the messed-up-in-the-head woman. Yeah, there is something REALLY wrong with her.
"How lucky I'm a guy." Andy sarcastically says, with open hostility. "And last time I checked, I'm not a gigolo. I'm too expensive for you."
The dark-skinned kunoichi laughs at this "Ha! Such a funny line! Heh, I guess you aren't interested. Meh, if you change your mind, we will be around."
"Wave is off-limits." Andy flatly states, and his creatures react to this with more aggressive body language.
"Fair, fair. There is nothing left in this shithole anyway. But Land of Fire is a pretty big land."
"You are awfully confident."
"Meh, if I die, it happens. We're shinobi. We die all the time."
The part that Andy hates the most is that he is somewhat envious of her being so… carefree. About not being afraid of dying, unlike him. And if she is bluffing - it's one hell of a bluff.
When they both feel the ground shaking, Babar, Andy's favorite Elephant, suddenly enters in, and attacks the woman, and she realizes shocked, that she is easily overpowered. She flies a few meters away from the hit but is mostly unhurt. Andy realizes that yeah, her issue is that for a kunoichi she is pretty slow, which she makes up for it with her durability.
And it's not only Babar who's the new appearance, but also a young male ninja, and Scorpio plus Sneak that caught up with him.
"Sis! Are you alright?!"
"Yeah, I'm fine! Your arm!"
"I'm good! It's not broken or anything!"
"Listen," Andy states, not amused by this anymore. "We go to the Villa of Gato. You take the money, and we split it 50/50. I take the other valuables, like paintings, gems, etc. Fucker was filthy rich anyway, so you get far more than you would anyway. After this, once we do it, you fuck off, and never return here."
"Yeah, yeah, sure." The woman states back. "I'm Mami by the way." Andy wants to say he doesn't give a shit, but at this point he wants things to be over. "We know we don't win this. And my brother needs medical help."
"Just get it over with." Andy mentally, and physically tired makes sure he is surrounded by his creatures, with The Shield floating around, being ready to block any incoming hit.
With the money split, and two shinobi being 'guided' towards the water, to water walk away. Andy waits for several minutes, just in case it's an ambush, but realizing they are away, he feels like he can at last relax.
Andy grimaces that while they won, a victory wasn't flawless. It's ridiculous to expect it to go perfectly, Andy knows it well, but he can't help himself. Ignoring the tears, and memories of that young girl dying, he moves back to the village. It's time to help the village recover from this mess, and think about the next move. But now? He needs some rest.
==========
4,9k words. 600 banked points. Anyway, as I'm incapable of writing short chapters, I'm nerfing it from the next round by 50% point income. So yeah, this is the last 100% point income round, so you can spend it however you want on Power or Creature Roll.
And oh boy, was this chapter hard to write. I tried to convey the chaos of the situation, and I'm not sure if I did a good job because of it.
No Action Vote this time around, as it will happen next time. The next chapter is pretty much a Wave recovery chapter, and the decision is what you guys want to do next. I hope the read was enjoyable, even if I'm not completely satisfied with it.
Will those Kumogakure characters return? There is a chance for it.
So the only vote is standard Creature/Power roll. Thank you for the reading and cheers . I'm pretty tired now though. We'll see if I take a break tomorrow or not. If I do, I will inform you guys.
And the vote:
[] Creature Roll (600)
[] Power Roll (600)
[] Power Roll: Second Roll (600)
[] Creature Roll: Second Roll (600)
Yikes, that's rough for Andy - though, I kinda expected that some people were going to die in the chaos, but the way it happened is going to weigh heavily on the guy. Given the arsenal he had, and the plan he went with, a [Perfect Victory] would be incredibly difficult to achieve. Well, at least Gato is dead, most of the bandits are crippled, and the missing-nin are leaving Wave satisfied.
Now, let's continue expanding Andy's inventory; maybe he'll get a cute creature to lift his mood - just whatever helps.
Need to work on that teamwork. Shame about the workers caught in the crossfire, but a painful learning experience will be good to keep expectations low.
