I realize that this is non-cannon, but I wonder how Betsy changed her clothes.
Are her clothes chain mail or is there a smith nearby who is able to reforge Bethy so that she has new clothes. Or do clothes change to be bronze when Betsy puts them on.
Hopefully Betsy doesn't have to undergo a class change every time she wants to change outfits...
Maybe they're just normal bronze-colored clothes. Or clothes-shaped pieces of bronze, though that sounds considerably less convenient.
There is an issue of experience and general knowledge. I would not say that she is a fully realised grown-up, though the precise nature and consequences of that elude me. It is worth noting that voter-prompts can obscure the issue by filling in gaps in knowledge and perspective. She seems to have known what flirting is, but would she have thought of it without being prompted? Would she have known how to fight without the backseat driving? She was relieved that she could read, so knew what reading is, and had some idea that it would be an issue if she couldn't, but seemingly had no idea at all if she could actually do so. Her mentality is weird, and it seems difficult to judge it, especially with so many external influences corrupting the evidence.
I'll just update when I get back home on the 3rd. Sorry about the delay!
Edit: I'll try for today, just not sure how my energy levels will hold up. The 4 hour drive yesterday was rough and I have some stuff to attend to today. There's a pretty good chance it'll be tomorrow.
Not up to it. Got 5 hours of sleep last night and have a hell of a headache. I'll get it done sometime before friday, hopefully earlier in the week. Thank you for your patience, and hope everyone had a good new year.
Make that Saturday (or Sunday- Honestly, likely Sunday, though there's a chance for Saturday). The week getting back has been rough, and I've been in no state to make an important update like this one. Have a good evening, guys.
[X] Betsy : Jump on the hooded person before they flee TIE
[X] Betsy: since the lighting is already set up, it's time to get on the stage and sing! And by stage, I mean your pedestal. [WIN]
[X] Lise: Have the most spectacular battle ever and brag about it to Betsy
[X] (@) Flora: For future reference, do you know where any other Warp Crystals nearby are? Specifically ones Betsy could reach without running out of HP? (You know, when things have settled down.)
There's one near every major group living in the park. To the north south, and west sides, specifically. Lise probably even has herself attuned to the one near the Faerie kingdom, but whatever's going on over there has undoubtedly messed up her connection to it.
Betsy could probably reach ALL of them, as long as you keep her healed. She only seems to take damage every other turn, so unless she gets really beat up along the way, it's not going to take your party a hundred turns to reach the crystal.
[X] @Flora: Note from the voices the rules for our world are a bit different, that is why we had Betsy ask if only living things have HP
[X] @Flora: Also tropes are common scenes/reactions that we have keyed to terms. One example is that due to dragons being a famous example of being hard to beat lots of big bads have traits similar to dragons
Wow. You can't imagine living in a world without something as baseline as Health Points. Like, sure, they don't come up that often nowadays, but they're still one of the most important parts of general medicine. You're glad you're from this world, and not whatever type of bozo place these voices are from.
Also, as for the dragon thing- sure, you kind of get it when explained out like that, but why not just say that? The other way seemed unnecessarily unwieldy.
-way are you jumping on that girl. You weigh at least, what, two tons? You'd flatten her. You nearly flattened that bug earlier, and it was still pretty tough on the bottom. Pedestal it is.
With that settled, you start around to the back of your stupid podium. It's gonna be way harder to get up from behind, but probably a better plan.
You listen in as you struggle to pull yourself up.
...and what's that supposed to mean? You gulp and struggle to pull yourself up faster.
You finally reach the top. You pull out your microphone, take a deep breath, step forwards, and-
-let out a long, melodic few notes. You didn't have anything in particular in mind, but this is mostly an attention getter anyway. It seems to hurt the Shadorb, who the cloaked figure clutches closely.
You can finally hear them a bit better- So she's a girl, then. That's definitely a feminine voice.
You meet eyes with the spiky haired man and stare into his.
There's a quiet moment of... shock? You're not quite sure what emotion on his face. But after a moment... He starts LAUGHING.
...you feel vaugely insulted. What is this guy's deal?
[X] Lise: Rush over to your friends!
[X] Betsy: Sing a fighting song! Try to inspire Flora and Lise if they get here!
[X] Flora: We can't hear your thoughts anymore. Use anything you have that can hurt 'em.
[X] Lise: Fight defensively; focus on surviving and keeping the boss busy, rather than defeating it.
[X] Betsy: Sing a fighting song! Try to inspire Flora and Lise if they get here!

Let's say that Betsy is equivalent in volume to a 70-kg human woman. Her volume would be around 70 liters, or 70,000 cubic centimeters. Bronze has a maximum density of 8.73 grams per cubic centimeter, according to Google, so if Betsy was solid she'd mass 600 kg—just over half a ton. And she's hollow, so she'd weigh much less.
Of course, even if she weighed only a hundred kilos, it would still hurt to have her jump on you.
Great line, but that kinda makes it sound like you're saying they should "take care of" Flora...and you...
[X] (@) Flora: You use Health Points instead of describing people as healthy/unharmed or ill/injured. We all use whatever jargon makes sense to our peers, that's human nature. (And dryad nature, I assume.)
Might as well try to wrap up that conversation, right?
[X] Betsy: Sing a fighting song! Try to inspire Flora and Lise if they get here!
[X] Flora: We can't hear your thoughts anymore. Use anything you have that can hurt 'em.
I'm not sure having Lise leave her fight with the big shade would be a good idea—it's probably just going to follow her to this fight, and despite her size, Lise is probably the best-suited to fighting it.

Okay, there's a lot to unpack here. Let's see...
So, these guys seem opposed to the Light Goddess, and recognize Betsy as having something to do with her. Judging by their clothes, general aesthetic, and modus operandi, I would guess that they are followers of the Dark God rather than followers of the evil isekai hero. Though the spiky haired guy is clearly in charge, I suspect he is actually weaker than the girl. Could be because of having more context or experience than her, could just be because their different personalities. The girl has an aura thing like Betsy does (which Flora temporarily had until just now), implying that she is getting advice or orders from something; whether that is the Dark God himself or something like us or something else entirely is unknown. From the behavior of the girl, they don't seem to be all bad, though; they are currently dangerous jerks who are opposed to us, but the girl at least seems to genuinely care about that little Shadorb, which is apparently named "Len". She also seems to be rather cowardly and weak willed in general so far. We could either try to use these traits of hers for diplomacy to redeem them, or exploit these traits to bring ourselves victory in at least the short term. Whatever we do though, we need to keep an eye on Lise and have a plan to bail her out of there; she has already lost a third of her health to that giant boss Shadorb.
[X] Betsy: What's with this smugness? Dive kick him like he's a Bladeybug. You LITERALLY have the higher ground.
[X] Flora: We can't hear your thoughts anymore. Use anything you have that can hurt 'em.
Yes, I know that this will snap this man's neck like a twig if it hits. No, I do not care.

[x] Betsy: Tap your foot on your pedestal and will it to produce backing instrumentals. Try to paralyse them by singing something creepy, like Every Breath You Take by Sting. Be sure to leer!
[x] Flora: Please try to lose their attention, then pickpocket their everything if something distracts them. Remembeer that dangerous weapons are the most valuable!

No, not that thing. Everyone has their own flame thing, that's presumably just their soul or something. I am talking about the spoked wheel ring things around Betsy and dark cultist girl. Having the yellow ring thing switched from Betsy to Flora was what put us in her head for a while instead. And dark cultist girl has her own backwards purple version of it.
Anyway, sure kick the leader guy with our half-ton body, he's a jerk.
[X] Betsy: What's with this smugness? Dive kick him like he's a Bladeybug. You LITERALLY have the higher ground.
But also, if we can, leave the girl and her Shadorb friend out of this, for now anyway. Be ready to attack if she does, but try to reason with her. It will probably be easier without her boss here giving her conflicting directions, anyway. As for Flora...
[X] Flora: go back and heal Lise to help her fight the boss Shadorb.

Oh! The big black targeting ring thingy. Somehow I didn't notice that. That's definitely important.
Anyone recognize the switch-o-vision runes from anywhere? I'm wondering if they actually mean something, especially the ones on Betsy's flame-thing-maybe-a-soul.
