[Exalted] The Last Daughter -- Dragon-Blooded Sorcery School Quest

You feel abruptly, horribly unarmed and exposed — maybe Sola has the right idea, wearing a sword everywhere, even at school.

Oh no, she's forgotten RPG 101's most important lesson! Always carry a sword, everywhere!

[X] Stalwart Earth Guardian
Our room isn't warded against assassins enough! Also we can't open the door before people knock! This has to be resolved immediately!

While I decide to take this as... the moon taking a moment to point and laugh at the... wisdom... of a kid who decided that the best place to be on a haunted island was outside, at night, in a haunted tempest, meditating...

Honestly that sounds like the kind of brash risk taking Luna sort of likes in a mortal, joking aside, so they'd probably like... not exactly laugh at it in an Exalt.

Finger-painting sounds amazing, but we just made a contract with a danger-noodle, and can get a spell that creates danger noodles(and the control variant makes this a much more useful spell than it is by default), and grants us a permanent danger noodle... We clearly need to start accumulating a hoard of danger-noodle and danger-noodle accessories. I am sure that being a danger-noodle specialist will be absolutely wonderful for our reputation!
Wealthy, powerful Dynastic sorcerer with a pet obviously supernatural snake coiled around her is a very powerful aesthetic.

Also, let's not forget that if we have a snek, we'll likely get a suitably snake-y epithet.

Lady of Coils. The Diamond Serpent. Don't Step On Snek.

I see your Dynast Medusa and raise you a Dynast Hawk Moth.

We already have the saber for it. Why not just release a flock of butterflies to augment the damage potential. Plus Sola might really like that for training.

[X] Plague of Bronze Snakes

I know we're probably going to have to put effort into ensuring our new familiar knows when NOT to lethally retaliate against others with this... But damnit, I really like the idea of having reduced collateral damage whilst also having area denial capability and the fact it's similar to who our Elemental Sponsor is whilst giving us a familiar just works for me.

So snake themes are always awesome but if we as an earth aspect could also manage to petrify our foes it might actually draw me away from the butterflies. Though I still find the volcanic stone preferable to the bronze.
I didn't put it into the text of the description, but if you're killed by the venom of one of these snakes you do turn into a statue.

I feel compelled to ask @Gazetteer how difficult it would be to instruct a hypothetical snake familiar when not to use lethal force in response to attacks. I'm concerned that a well-meaning snake friend of limited intelligence may be a liability.

You will be able to call your snake off or order it to, say, not attack someone who you're sparring with (which you will just like... probably get used to having to do beforehand, but don't worry about it trying to murder Sola or anything if it's been instructed not to). Familiars are generally able to understand and obey your instructions better than ordinary animals are, especially when the familiar is essentially a very weird variety of minor elemental. There are situations where it may kill someone who you might have preferred alive -- like, if someone is attacking you and you might have wanted to question them, but they ended up with snake fangs in their neck. This is kind of just a consequence of having a familiar who will try to defend you, but whose only weapons are fangs full of a supernatural venom.

The snakes' toxins are considerably less lethal to most Exalts than they are to mortals, as with most poisons, but a single bite would still slow most of them down, and a high enough dosage is going to kill most things.
