Snake Pit: ??? in Gridlocked | A Disney Villains Victorious CK2 Style Quest

[X] [Memories] Coil the paranoid control freak we all know and love. Has a blueprint for success and a drive to not repeat his mistakes in this new world. Pick this for more Coil-ness, for better or worse.
[X] [Timeline A] A Japanized Golden Gate bridge.
[X] [Timeline B] Dig through the dumpster to see if you can find anything. (Loot Roll)

Same. Coil genuinely isn't that fun, because he's not actually a Bond villain. He just has an amazing power which he uses horribly, and it's still good enough to let him be strong.

As far as Worm villains go... well, Teacher is at least competent, even if he's as or more detestable.

Vote will remain open for quite awhile so there is still plenty of time to convince people to swap to your preferred option. I won't even be at my computer until late tonight anyways.

MAXIMUM COIL PLAN! Lets build Coil a Coil Gun and a tesla Coil and just Coil the hell out of Gridlocked!

It's 15-7 against us right now... people who are voting for actual Coil, can you give some reasons so I can argue against those points?

[X] [Memories] Blank Slate. The only thing you remember about yourself right now is how to use your reality splitting ability and a desire to use it to for personal gain. But a quick glance at the suit you're wearing makes you think you were some kind of supervillain? Pick this for more freedom.

No matter how much Thomas recalls, karma will slap him good.

We also have a better chance of being Funny, which is genuinely important in a world where Toonforce exists.

My argument against keeping his memories is that it locks the character's trajectory at the start. Coil is a horrible person with specific habits, tactics, and qualities. He can opt not to repeat mistakes but there isn't a lot of room to grow.

Besides that, Worm is tonally at odds with most of what is going on with Gridlocked and has very different rules. If Coil goes into this world of colorful heroes and talking gangsters as a hardened 18+ Mature Readers Only criminal sociopath then its just gonna be weird to read. There is a null chance of revisiting Earth Bet (its not what this game is about) so having Coil retain his past memories is irrelevant baggage.

If this sounds like I would like to play someone similar to the idea of Coil without it actually being Coil, then yes. That is what I am advocating for.

Another problem about Coil w/ baggage is that we're going to run into blind spots.

If Calvert has trouble using precog on toons or magic, this quest is going to devolve into killing the setting so his OCD can be saited.

If some skinny cape finds his power reacts weird to narrative forces, he could take a literature course at the local community college.

Gonna change my vote, @Nystical , if I may:

Sure, changing your vote is always allowed.

You're missing a [ bracket though.

And you can still choose to be a risk averse, paranoid control freak with blank slate, just nixing the harsher baggage.

This persuades me to go with blank slate instead of full memories. So, without further ado...
