Animus Ex Nihilo - A God Quest

[X] Let the Sky Child take its power over the Wind.
[X] Kill it and bring its body to the Harsh Mountain.

[X] Take its power over Death for yourself.

I think we have to think about ourselves first, we helped the other two gods and contrary to what some people think we are not that powerful, if we add the fact that our people took a big blow recently and that some convert to Sky Child...

Yeah you see the problem, I think at this point it's imperative to get stronger, helping others is nice but we deserve our reward ^^ ( And yes the death of the beast is cool but if we don't take the reward that goes with it... )

Isn't the Devourer's Death domain much larger than it's Wind domain? It kinda seems a waste to let the much larger domain go unabsorbed.

Also if absorbing one of it's domains doesn't kill it and let's it go, we should definitely take away it's most powerful aspect.

Edit:
Also, we might need a stronger Death domain to safely unscrew the landscape...who knows what it left around from that huge ass ritual?

Now the question that interests me is, was this just a servitor created in that big ritual, or the Devourer itself?

Upon reflection, there is a very real risk that increasing Proud Waters' domain over Death will increase the cost of acquiring Healing, and there's no way in the Devourer's rotten backside I am setting that goal back again.

I also don't want to increase our power over death right now. Currently we are still mostly water aligned thematically, but that might change if we end up with a higher death rank than water. And I would preferer to keep a primary domain over water than over death.

I think what is happening is there is a big death god somewhere who made both the Devourer and this thing.
Well, something put 5 dice (and not d6, something bigger) into the ritual that created this big bird.

So I guess you have a point, there is likely a bigger bad guy behind this.

The same one that tried to create another death-god in the Forest, before we stopped the ritual there.

I'm changing my vote. Death-domain was our only option to fight this thing and the only power we could set against the ritual. We need more of that, if the foe keeps acting.

By the same token, our Allies also need more power because we can't fight this thing on our own.

We know that we already have the ability to empower ourselves in Death, it is "just" a matter of spending enough Power.

We do not yet know if the Sky Child can gain the Domain of Wind, or if the Harsh Mountain can gain whatever it is the Harsh Mountain is going to get, without the use of the Devourer of Winds.

Would the Mountain even get anything, or is that just cashing in the bounty so to speak?

It seems like our best counter to the Devourer and whatever greater entity is behind this whole chain of events. Also...eh, I like Sky Child, but even if they pull through when shit really hits the fan they're pretty unreliable otherwise. If they hadn't screwed around as much when we were hunting down the Devourer's minions this whole situation might've played out better. And Harsh Mountain is just...there's a sea/mountain war just waiting to happen once there's no greater foe to unite against, so I'd really rather not give them the food that's literally already in our mouth.

I don't feel comfort able givin the Harsh Mountain a death domain. Also doubt this will harshen the requirments for a third domain, seeing as this isnt us aiming for four different domains. Just improving the existing ones until we gain a third.

The reef gave us more power, this is likely a knowledge boost.
