Animus Ex Nihilo - A God Quest

[X] Plan Life Triumphs Over Death

The risk is this may not work. If we could write in I would suggest contacting the wind spirit and divine carp. Join forces to attack the malevolent devourer together and eliminate it once and for all.

The Devourer is two ranks ahead of us. He's at rank 2 of his main domain and rank one of his swcondary. Let's at least try to get to his level before we fight him.
Healing Domain or Death!
To Battle my Friends, TO LIFE OVER DEATH!!

Or something like that, i mean i want the healing Domain no matter what :D

To be fair, we were fighting it on relatively even ground when it was just us and our Herald, even forcing him to flee. If we add the Sky Child, I think pure numbers would let us overwhelm it, alongside the addition of a healing domain meaning that we can shrug off the harder hits afterwords. The Devourer doesn't seem the type to have friends after all. :p

Plus, the longer we wait the stronger it will get consuming our dead. Do we really want to let that happen?

Need to divine servant a Human so that we have a even better fallback,
I suspect they would be very receptive to divine power since we get that power FROM them.

But he's no longer consuming our dead. We kicked him out and he fled. At best he might be eating another gods dead.
From the last update:

Unfortunately, you soon had to learn that you were not the only one who had learned much from this confrontation. The creature still prowled beneath the waves, but while you could sense its approach, it was fast and wily. It was in no hurry to attack you again, but it kept devouring the dead whenever your attention wavered, darting into your realm and retreating again before you could respond. You put blessings on the dead as you drew them beneath the waves, to hide them from the beasts senses and to deter it from taking them, but it was no use. It had all the time it wanted to find them after all, being quite happy to tear apart even the decaying remnants that rested on the seafloor for a while. Worse yet, the creature seemed to take a sick pleasure from terrifying the Sea People and soon enough, they told stories about the great, broken serpent that was locked into conflict with the Proud Waters after wounding their servant in battle.

He's still eating our dead, and will continue to do so so long as we let him. He just avoids confrontation like a scavenger while he feeds. Letting him eat unchecked and siphon power from us is imo a very bad idea.

[X] Plan: home improvements

I desperately want to go after the Devourer and if a plan that has that wins I honestly wouldn't be upset about it…but I also recognize that this thing is stronger than us and I'm not sure if we can afford to go in half-cocked on this. I want to be able to match it with a level two domain so that way when we go after this thing next turn we don't let it escape or do permanent damage to someone (like us or the sky god).

If we get the Healing Domain, i suspect it will go a long way to make any would be permanent damage very much temporary, I am sure that any wounds inflicted are healable by the healing domain so long as we are high enough level in it.

Plus, the fight plan makes no use of the herald, either to do an action or to assist us.

But we'll still have that next turn, plus whatever power we gain this turn.

We were winning pretty well in the last fight, when we were surprised, weaker and vulnerable.
With the healing Domain, we have far more power than before, his deathly cold curses won't hold sway over us nor the Sky God, speaking of his help means we'll be at a significant 3 to 2 domain advantage, with one of ours countering his strongest domain to a good extent.
The Time to strike is now.

@Azel does power generated affect how strong we are on a fight? Like, would we have easier fights if we generated 10 power rather than 7?

[X] Plan Life Triumphs Over Death

@Raichu1972 you forgot to assign our herald. Regardless, I want that thing dead now, and between us, our herald, and the sky spirit we should have at least decent odds of killing it.

-[X] Find and slay the Devourer.
-[X] Obtain the Healing domain. 6 Power

I'm thinking that getting another domain could in some ways counter the Devourer, by making it so that we can heal what it corrupts. Getting the gang together to go beat it up so it stops stealing the souls of our followers seems like something we should really prioritize.
Please have our Herald help us in the battle.

@Azel
Can we trust that the Wind Child will have our back in this?
If not for the fight itself then at least to hinder the Devourer should it try to flee again.

I'm both pro further preparation, and going for the fight. Both sound cool, but defeating the enemy should mean we no longer have to defend the dead, so going now is probably an action more efficient?
