Welcome to my Candy Store! (Willy Wonka Management Quest.)

Ooo, I like the idea of coming up with candies.

Hmmm...

"Bizzybees, a bafflingly buzzing bee shaped candy for the busy that taste like fresh honey of your favorite kind and have the texture of honeycomb, the more you eat the faster and better you do whatever job is ahead of you!"

Honeycomb is sorta like gum, only more crumbly, I loved eating honeycomb as a kid. Might buzz in your mouth occasionally.

Could call em "Bizzy Bee's" and make em fizzy (some how...). Plays off the joke of busy bee.

Mr. Idiot's Bizzy Bees.

Yeah! It'll be perfect!

"Bizzy Bees, a bafflingly buzzing bee shaped candy for the busy that taste like fresh honey of your favorite kind and have the texture of honeycomb, the more you eat the faster and better you do whatever job is ahead of you!"

Right that's the current version, now should it fizz or buzz? I think we can do buzz but that and the busy bee effect might be a bit much together. So fizz will do. I'll edit the post thing if Yite's okay with it.

As for next candy...

Something with peanuts and caramel...

Oh and perhaps an option to try again on some of the candies so if a really neat idea does poorly we can help it reach it's potential.

Anywho back to brainstorming.

[X] Plan: The flesh is willing and the machine too

The only, only reason I'm not voting for a plan that gets exotic ingredients is because now that the employee slots are full and we only have 1 employee specialized in research--not traveling and exotic ingredients--makes me want to upgrade the building first and strengthen the Wonka's base.
I still don't believe Kelley has the Wonka Spark tm but now that she's apart of us, we'll take good care of her. That goes for everyone, Fred, Ruby, and good old Joe Bucket.

Mr. Idiot's Caramel Critters, Minty Moths, and Swifty Seas.
Candy ideas:

Caramel Critters, these chittering candies covered in nuts are shaped like chipmunks, squirrels, and sometimes even elephants, and even act like them. Enjoy these nutty delights and be sure to share with the fuzzy friends they might bring you!

(Caramel animals that automatically have your favourite kind of nut on them and attract friendly animals too)

Minty Moths, these minty little guys candies never get dirty and clean everything they touch, including teeth! So no need to worry for rotting teeth ever again, as these floating flakes of freshness keep you clean nice and clean.

Swifty Seas! These wavy wonders are always rolling like the sea, whenever you drink it, you gain the ability to breathe and see crystal clear under the waves and can swim as fast as any fish! It's also enough to keep anyone's thirst quenched for a full day on its own!

(An ocean in a bottle, rolling and foaming just like the real thing, sometimes you can even spot sealife, tastes like the most refreshing water that's ever been with a slight planty side, always cool when on the sunniest summer day.)

Voting has ended, here are the results:

Ternasta's Motor Oil Lozenges.
Hmm, I was imagining Stephen Hawking chowing down on Nerds, and now I want to make these for him:
Motor Oil Lozenges: The lozenges are clear, showing a substance that looks alarmingly like motor oil in all respects, but tastes of peppermint. Once fully dissolved, it causes the body to work at peak condition for 24 hours, with the side effect of periodic exhaust fumes coming from the ears (harmless but smells of motor oil).

Mr. Idiot's Cotton Clouds and Lightning Lemons
More candies:

Cotton Clouds, for those who love fluffy foods, this special cotton candy is as light as a cloud, and moves like it too. From whispy winds to thunderstorms, this scrumptious sweet will make you feel like you're flying and bring a breeze, though careful of the occasional shocking surprise!

(It makes the consumer a bit physically lighter and more agile, jumping higher and running faster, while bringing the elation of flight. You can glide with it too. It also occasionally shocks ya, the equivalent of touching a door knob after rubbing your socks on carpet.)

Lightning Lemons! These exciting and electrical lemon flavored licorice and pop rock strips will give you the power to shock all you want along with it's electrifying flavor. You can even use it to power electrical devices!

(Shocks have the same power as the above, but the consumer can shock as many times as they want, and you can charge small batteries with it if you hold them for a bit.)

Themarineguy's Fox Fire, and Teruo Oda (Not including the Kitsune part)
Fox Fire- a spicy 'candy' that looks like floaty embers, warm to the touch and yet doesn't burn. It has a slight grilled taste which somehow works with the spice and heat for a unique sweet and savory taste, which also warms the body
Wonka Knowledge: Inspired by an encounter during his explorations, making it was a challenge, even if exactly how it is made eludes him
Unknown: There is a bit of mystery energy that can be noticed around sensitive scientific equipment, which may have interesting magical affects after enough refinement. Specifically, Wonka is selling special magical fire that in classic Wonka tradition was made more candylike and safe to consume.

Teruo Oda
Teruo Oda is a Japanese-American fresh from high school whom has a strong interest in pushing the boundaries of what is possible, one whom finds more traditional forms of employment a bit stifling, whom decided to set out on her own and saw the store as a great place to both support herself, experiment, and show her mother she could support herself.
Not known to Wonka: She is a kitsune whom wants to push the boundaries of magic.

Well, these two are somewhat linked ideas wise, and the employee idea is a bit on the mad science magic edition side, which would blend in pretty well with what Wonka and our mad scientist could do. The Fox Fire, as I kind of see t is something with a unique flavor profile, which also would happen to have properties good at helping people brave the cold, and be somewhat magical, even if it is hardly noticeable and something which may become relevant beyond a curiosity when someone brings it close enough to sensitive enough science equipment...

I have to admit, having a kitsune as an employee would be interesting. And, of course, anyone trying to steal from us would be begging for mercy quite quickly.
Well, she is young considering I envisioned her high school graduation thing to be rather recent and not an eyebrow raiser, but also I envisioned her having a mom that would definitely be active in her life, more than she may want...
and show her mother she could support herself.
:D

I'm not sure about making magic an actual thing here...

The only magic-like things are the candies we make, and the stuff we'll find on our travels.

...I kind of figured that between some of the ideas out there, like candy-tiberium...
Well, decided to throw out my own idea, and foxfire is more just crazy edible fire that only works cause wonka. Though the possible kitsune employee is possibly a bit much...

Mr. Idiot's Cherished Chestnut, Autumn Apples, and Eager Eggs.
Cherished Chestnut! This form of Wonka bar is made of dark chocolate and roasted chestnuts, they always bring wonderful warmth both to bodies and hearts!

(I noticed that there aren't many dark chocolates so I added one, kinda went for a Christmas vibe despite it being early.)

Autumn Apples! These caramel covered apples reveal themselves to be just like apple pie filling when bitten into, both in texture and flavour. However, the best way to use these is to get them to make your own pie! They always take on the exact traits for how your family like their apple pie.

(Meant to get families to make apple pie together. since outright replacing it seems wrong, which is why the apples taste like generic apple pie by default instead of their favorite.)

Eager eggs! These simply sublime sweets are perfect for Easter! When you hide them, they'll move to different spots to make Easter egg hunts even more fun! The shell is edible and you'll find random sweets in them, occasionally even ones not being sold yet!

(They won't reveal any secrets, mind you. But the possibly of getting to try a special secret candy will definitely attract some people.)

Sooo, I stumble into this by accident. Just wrote Wonka on the search bar and here I am.
Anyway.

Also is Wonka coming out whit all the ideas himself or the mad scientist has the ideas and then works them out ?

19- Candy Machines?
[X] Plan: The flesh is willing and the machine too
-[X] Assign her to Candy Making.
-[X] Never-ending Gum: Gum, that never ends!
-[X] Upgrade the Building once again.
-[X] Write-in: attempt to purchase machines to help Kelly Jones make even more candy, with less effort!

You had assigned Kelly to candy making, you were sure that she was going to do a great job!

Kelly Jones has gained the Perk, Candy Making: Automatically make candy.

Fred had shown you his Never-Ending Gum, a never-ending stick of gum, you could chew and chew, but you couldn't fully eat it! He said it was his solution to world hunger, and you went with it, despite your... distaste towards gum.

Never-ending Gum Research Roll: 111.

And it came out... remarkedly well, you had honestly been incredibly impressed with how it turned out, and... well, this gum was actually quite pleasant to eat, which was weird for you to think...

Wonka Bars, Laffy Taffy, Ice Mice, Toothie Fruities, Nerds, and Never-ending Gum have been restocked by Kelly Jones. (400/400. For more Storage, upgrade the building)

Kelly had made, and restocked all of the candy you had, God bless that woman.

After that, you had gotten to upgrading the building once again... you simply had so many options!

How do you want to upgrade the building?

[] Upgrade Storage (400 > 800. Costs: 10 Wealth.)
[] Upgrade your Research Station (+10 to Candy Research)
[] Upgrade the front of the store. (+10 to Sales)
[] Upgrade your candy-making tools (+10 to Candy Creation)
[] Add a Second Floor to your building (+4 more Employee Space. Costs 10 Wealth.)
[] Write-in (Write-in a custom choice):

And finally, you had decided to see if there were any machines you could make to help Kelly make more candy, and you found some...

First up was the Candymatic 9000, it was practically ancient when it comes to the candy-making world, but it was pretty damn cheap and known to be reliable.

Then, there was the Flumdigglemator, it was a fairly new candy-making machine, but it's gotten glowing reviews from everyone who's used it, and that works for you.

And finally, was the Flugelmeyer, an abhorrently expensive candy-making machine, but it did make great candy. But was it worth the cost?

What do you choose?
[] The Candymatic 9000. (Costs 10 Wealth, +5 to Candy Sales)
[] Flumdigglemator. (Costs 50 Wealth, +10 to Candy Sales)
[] Flugelmeyer. (Costs 100 Wealth, +15 to Candy Sales)
[] None, you don't really want a candy-making machine.
____

Okay, this update was supposed to be done like... two hours ago, but I saw Knives Out was on Netflix, and just had to watch it, then I had to figure out what exactly the machines will do... terribly sorry for the wait.

Please, use a Plan Format.

[X] Plan Money Burning
-[X] Add a Second Floor to your building (+4 more Employee Space. Costs 10 Wealth.)
-[X] Flugelmeyer. (Costs 100 Wealth, +15 to Candy Sales)

Why this specifically? Why not. More employees, better candy sales. Plus, we have the money.

P.S. Knives Out is an amazing movie, one of the best 2019 had to offer, and it had a library of amazing new movies to offer.

Sure, sounds good. It fits with Wonka's style, reinvesting everything into his business.
Although it runs the risk of Kelly actually kissing him as thanks for the new machine, which would be awkward all around.
