Suffer Not the Witch (Warhammer 40k Psyker Quest)

[X] Death by Proxy. Servitors such as these respond to noise and movement. Use that to bait a swarm of them into overrunning the small team, then pick off any survivors. There's a certain irony in killing them with the weapon they sought to wield against you.

I really don't trust Ciro, we have no idea what his deal is and he's way to charming.
Amusingly our fellow party members probably muse on the same things about us.
Random psyker man frees a rag tag band of heretics/xenos to work together for their freedom while also putting on the airs of just being an unlucky imperial citizen.
Your deception wears thin Vincenzo!

I wonder who shot the boarding torpedo. Does this mean the prison ship got attacked by humans and it wasn't just a prisoner riot? But then why does the Inquisition have the control codes for the servitors?

Could the prison barge have shot its own boarding torpedoes at a part of itself to quell a riot on the gun deck?

You know you're not wrong.

Like what would the average quest voter believe if I made a point of emphasising how this dude just turned into an angelic statue to fly up a loading shaft, as his first display of psychic powers outside of "throw lightning at things"? Half the thread would be screaming at the other half about how blatantly suspicious this guy is.

I like the implication of an Eldar Delinquent Quest Negaverse.

I don't know the mechanics, but I don't see any reason not to try and weaken the opposition before taking them on. If the servitors end up attacking us instead, well, that could have happened anyway.

I'm not sure what angelic statue would remind them of.
Sanguinius.

Vincy is totally Sanguinius' hidden love child! The Blood Angels can't hide their Primarch's dirty laundry forever!

Fight with brains first before sording!

Yeah, wouldn't put it past them that everyone's suspecting everyone else is not quite on the level, naturally everything we and what everyone else does could belie an ulterior motive.

However, I imagine that there we can generally avoid the worst of it indulging in insane troll logic. by acting all mysterious, which would confirm for them that we are a known quantity of sus, it would allow them to focus their paranoia on the other members who they still aren't sure are trustworthy.

to borrow from one of the Alfa Legion guys playing the Upper Hive, us being suspicious is not actually being suspicious.

Or it might get us spaced first.

To be clear here, they need the boarding torpedo's cogitators to control the servitors, right? And we probably don't have the technical know-how to remove said cogitators to bring back to Bore, so we might as well just destroy it. I still don't totally trust that we weren't given the message as a distraction by that "DOOM!" guy, (though now that we're here and can see Crane's dudes I'm slightly less suspicious) so best to be quick about it.

-{X] While they're dealing with that, destroy the boarding torpedo and any others you can see, and head back to the Carrion to make sure they haven't blundered into anything while you were gone.

Vincenzo needs to monologue about how "this world is imperfect" and so on, given he's a jrpg last boss in the making.
