Suffer Not the Witch (Warhammer 40k Psyker Quest)

[X] Let Nadia lead. Your pride is not so fragile as to overrule your good sense. Let your comrade win the allegiance of these Carrion, that you might focus on getting out of here without making more enemies than you need to.

[jk] Seduce the Queen. Ugh. Not everyone can be a super-classy void princess or a superhuman holy warrior with the most incredible physique you've ever seen in your life. You have to prove that you are definitely the most bangable escaped prisoner on this putrid decaying corpse-ship right now, and you know just the right pick-up line.

---

...nevermind, I forgot this isn't memetic D&D. Perhaps a more sensible option:

Provide a decent pick-up line and I'll call it a valid vote.

Come on, I'm curious now.

Part of me wished to have seen how ciro would have explained popping our head like a grape as it was so eloquently put. Would we have then started seeing things from the eyes of the Aeldari?

I'd love to show some of these people the stars and give them real hope of Improving their lot instead of living in circumstances that have merely been delaying the inevitable and now dance on the edge of the void.
That said but putting our lives at risk four or times over for people we just met seems hard to justify even if I both admire and pity them.

Maybe talk of how admired she would have to be in our own warrior culture would come at least halfway towards bridging that gap?

So far I've thought of "I may not be meat for your gullet but my soul's sure at your service." and "You're the Queen of Carrion, eh? Well I can't Carrion without asking you for a date.". You're welcome to think of something that's less likely to get Vincenzo killed on the spot. :V

Picking that fight would totally be a bad idea.

[ ] If we are to perish at the hand of Doom or the Voice from on high, then I will take solace in that the pleasure of meeting you alone, means our voyage was not in vain. If I might impose on you for a moment longer, I would like the story of your lineage,, so that it deeds and glories can be sent to our admirality. Perhaps a conversation for a more private audience?

Basically
1) Hilariously overdone flatery
2) offhand refference to the admirality in the hopes that that entity has survived in these guy's myths
3P move to more intimate setting

Hm, yeah, changed my vote to letting nadia take the lead. It's too much of a hassle being in the lead position as is, plus also kind of a dick move. While I don't trust Nadia to necessarily have our best interests at heart, let alone any of the others, it may be best to keep to the sidelines and observe others before we make any definitive conclusions on what to do with them.

I quite like it....but wouldn't it also be an easily discoverable lie? At least if any of them do leave the ship?

ADDON EDIT: Additionally, I shall now go change my vote mostly because of being reminded that at least three of our ?comrades? are almost guaranteed to be able to usurp our leadership

[X] Challenge the Queen. With your abilities and experience you are confident in your chances of victory, and having won the Carrion Throne you will be able to do more than mutely follow in another's wake.

The last thing we want to happen is to lose all control over this group and have no say in what happens next. Simply being a psyker-duelist with a Force sword only counts for so much.

There's also the minor fact that we still have no reason to trust the Rogue Trader who dabbled in Daemonology with an enormous amount of resources, like a private army. I'm not interested in making Vincenzo into a power-hungry leader, but we're (apparently) in the same position we were when we started when we don't trust anyone (Do y'all remember that vote that we just had where, rather than being loyal to a member of our ragtag band, we were distrustful by nature instead? Why should we suddenly trust Nadia to amass her own contingent of allies without any input from us?). Vincenzo needs to be trying to remain in control of the situation for his own protection; it would be incredibly naive for someone like him, who has experienced and seen a huge amount of betrayal in his life, to feel like there's no need to take steps to protect himself from his fellow prisoners.

Trying to get a group to follow us by making a might makes right argument when there is a Space Marine on the same deck? Good luck.

Challenging her to a duel is always an option, that's probably just foreplay to these people right? Just ask for her hand in marriage as the prize.

Sadly I can't whole-heartedly advocate for Seduce the Queen, as it would derail the Ciro x Vincenzo and Nadia x Vincenzo shipping trains too early.
There is no scenario in which we actually tell the imperial navy about any of this.
To intimidate them (or bore them to death) from the helm of a raiding fleet, perhaps.

Ciro: Congratulations on your conquest, little man.
Vincenzo: ...

A part of me[1] holds you in the highest esteem. Partially for writing this, but mostly for not formatting it as a vote.

[1] Left kidney, to be specific.

Ciro I wouldn't say is trustworthy as such, given that it seems he's at least a renegade although the lack of obvious mutations makes me believe he's either not full on Chaos Astartes or he's a very young one.

And yes, the Alpha Legion is just as mutated as the rest of them, they've been known to reveal mutations concealed beneath armor and cloaks as a shock/terror tactic against pious Imperials, anyway, where I was going with that was that while he may or may not be some kind of bastard, I'd rate him as the least likely of our comrades to put a knife in Vicenzo's back just because he's so secure in his position.

That position being the deadliest combatant, physically strongest, best tactician, and most likely to come through this all on his lonesome if he did just casually murder everyone else. He doesn't really need to play dominance games, everybody else needs to jockey for his favor (or at least his "I don't actively hate you.")

If anything, Vicenzo becoming KING OF THE CARRION THRONE would probably make him a more valuable asset/ally in Ciro's eyes, Borgia's already shown himself to be amendable to following his lead/susceptible to that literallt inhumanly shredded eight pack, why bother to personally command a feral abhuman tribe and if you can delegate a mortal you have a decent-ish rapport with to do it for you?

(As a side note, Ciro being a Renegade honestly doesn't help at all narrowing down his origin, any and all Marine Chapters have produced their fair share of Renegades, f'rex the Uriel Ventris novels have a Renegade Raven Guard playing a semi prominent role)
