You sat on a tall tree while watching your students as they suddenly all started to split up and move across the encampment to try and find the target that they had to sabotage. You were a bit disappointed that they decided to split up and take their changes apart rather than try and see if they could build a team synergy and work together to try and pass the test, but you knew that in reality it was too much to expect of them to work as a unit from the get go.

However, even though they weren't working together, they still had some sort of agreement on a plan: most likely each member was going on his own to try and infiltrate a different part of the encampment to not draw as much attention as they would as a group, which you had to agree was smart. They were a small group infiltrating a large encampment, so drawing less attention was most likely the smartest move.

Despite that, you knew that if one of them was discovered, then he would be overwhelmed quite quickly unless he would take down the guards before they could set off the alarm. It was risky and unlikely to happen, but it was still a good way to evaluate what your students were capable of.

When you created your clones, you had in mind the idea that they would all create ice masks to cover their faces. You came up with that idea to help your Genin get used to the idea as to not see the faces of the enemy, so it would be easier for them to go for the kill. Plus, seeing your face as they would kill the clone might hurt their desensitization to death, especially your cousin.

When you looked at the guards that were set across the encampment, you saw that they all indeed had ice masks in the shape of Onis covering their faces. You certainly hoped that it was going to do the trick.

As you searched for your students, you saw not too far on your right how Samuke crawling slowly in areas that had large bushes and as kept on searching for the areas across the ice fence that were the best covered up so that it would be hard to notice him. He certainly worked on that a lot, but he still had room to grow. He also didn't mind getting dirty to move around stealthily.

Ugh, you could already imagine the headache you were going to get from listening to all the complaints coming from your father and uncle... how exquisite...

You then moved your binoculars to your left as you saw Byako, your clanless student was simply walking slowly along the ice fence, quickly moving to try to hide behind tree trunks and doing his best to be stealthy. Well... he was doing an okay job.

The Hozuki brat, Suijin, was also trying his best to stay hidden from the guards by staying close to the fence and the forest while also behind the closest to you, as he was moving towards the left slowly from the point where the team separated.

The ice fence that your clones created were made the have holes large enough in them so that people might pass through and enter the camp, and it seemed like all three students finally decided to try and get in by sneakily crawl under one of the openings in said fence while the other two were still inspecting the area.

Suijin was probably the least patient of your students since he crawled at the quickest pace, but he was still doing pretty well when it came to moving stealthily.


You watched as your binoculars moved from side to side across the encampment to watch your students move under the holes in the fence, trying to stay as quiet as possible.

As you watched on your students, you saw how the Suijin tried his best and managed to pass the fence and crawl into the encampment, but unfortunately he picked an area to sneak in where there was a clone on a tree branch guarding that the Genin didn't notice, and unfortunately said clone looked down and saw the young boy after he got up.

You couldn't hear what the clone was saying as it turned to shout something towards another clone in the area, but you figured it was the "Intruder, raise the alarm!" line that you thought of when you conceived the test.

You then looked a bit farther and noticed that Byako just finished getting from under the fence at just the worst time when a clone walked by and noticed him, making that clone to also call for the alarm to be raised.

You then quickly noticed that a few clones were heading towards the directions of your two students, allowing for Samuke to slowly sneak around without being detected, which he used to then move around the camp close to the tents.

Seeing that one of your students had some luck, you returned to watch at how both of your other students were doing, seeing as now Suijin was standing in front of one of your clones, who had entered a battle stance and oozing with confidence, while your student looked unsure, shaking as he put on a brave and determined. Then another clone ran towards them and the young Hozuki's eyes were filled with terror, causing him to bolt in fear, jumping onto a tree and started moving as fast as he could, with the two clones chasing after him as he was starting to make hand seals.

You then returned to look and see how your clanless student was handling the situation, but you couldn't find him within the compound, meaning that he had also ran away with some clones going after him.

Since it was now harder to follow and evaluate all of your students, you needed to create some clones to scout the area and try to find them so that you could continue evaluating them or otherwise the test would be worthless because you wouldn't have the info.

Because of that you performed several hand seals and the air around you became cold as by your side two ice clones were formed. "Find my two students and analyze their performance. Once you're done, return here and tell me all the details that are important for me to know." you ordered the two clones as you looked at them with your stoic expression, which they also wore.

Both of your clones gave you a serious nods of acceptance of their mission before moving to the last direction you saw either the Hozuki brat or the clanless boy while you decided to keep a close eye on your cousin.

Here is another chapter with no real vote. It was shorter than expected, but the whole battle section will probably be the next update. Also, I updated the character sheets, adding Susumu's jutsu list and am currently working on our Genins' character pages.
