In the bosom of the Earth - An underdark civilization quest

[x] Obsidian dwarves
Some dwarves defected from the giants' side during the original war. Most species consider them treacherous and untrustworthy, but how can you blame them for picking the obviously correct side? Obsidian dwarves tend towards discovery, expressing the thirst for knowledge that led them to the dragons' side in the past.

i like dwarves and i cant lie

The Dwarves sound like good allies to have underground, and the Demonkin are sympathetic and attracting more refugees could be useful.

Man, I'm sort of stuck between these three.
[] Pale ones
The Pale ones I want because we could help them, plus they are a blank slate, we can lead their development however we please, but I'm not sure where we could even use them.
[] Grey elves
The Grey elves seem cool, plus they're probably old, and elves are like wine, the older the better, though their ancestors did run from fights, so they might be cowards.
[X] Demonkin
The Demonkin would allow us to get a most likely constant trickle of new recruits, with the downside of their inherent chaos.

...Wut does kobolds and demons have to do with united left front? Is this a political joke about how dems are a rough alliance or something?

Demonkins are anarchist adjacent if you squint. Not sure if kobolds are anything close considering they're a bit stuck in the past, though.

I love all of these options, but personally I'm going to have to go with-

[X] Pale ones

We too had masters, but ours were not cruel. We must show the new life what we learned, and that the world can be kind.

[x] Demonkin

We need companions that are willing to shake up things. And, well, potential, steady trickle of people that will be rather grateful for a safe, welcoming harbor.

I like these in particular and don't mind whichever one win's.
Though I might be biased towards the orc's and demon's, the dwarves seem interesting too.

One last chance to give the Pale ones a shot? how could I not take it?

The demonkin, as noted during race selection, are very anarchist-esque, and the kobolds can be (very) vaguely connected to being working-class. Thus, an anarchist/proletariat team-up becomes united leftism.

unrelated to the above, i like the idea of becoming a sanctuary state

They are unalienated from their labor and participate in agriculture. Clearly the Kobolds are a proletariat/peasant coalition
Edit: undoubled my post
