[x] Plan Safe Passage
-[x] Aim for a specific Heroic Spirit: Dioscuri
-[X] Change the summoning location to somewhere other than the cursed park: someone along the coast that has a clear view of the night sky, or better yet, on a boat.

[X] Path of Family, which kept getting ripped away from you.

[X] Fate, Illya, and Shirou

I think this is a good idea. If Gil's the problem, the Twins can more than compensate for his combat ability. Even if he uses Enkidu, only one of the Twins is actually divine.

It takes a lot to get Gil going. Even when he's faced by Alcides and True Rider in Strange Fake, he still didn't step in full. Besides, getting Dioscuri uses Illya's capacity in its full potential, not only that but I think Castor can fully manifest without needing to sap a Master of their magical energy.

Overall a solid pick. Pollux would definitely answer and Castor will be dragged in for the ride.

While it would be cool to get a Japanese Servant, fuck it, this is a cool choice too.

@Random Tale Is Yata no Kagami a valid catalyst? One of the Three Imperial Regalia?

Afraid not.
  1. As it isn't a sword or other weapon, Shirou can't Trace it well enough to act as a catalyst.
  2. Also, its been noted to be difficult to access, held in a place in the Ise Grand Shrine where the public cannot access.

[X] Plan Actually Satan
-[X] Aim for a specific class: Archer
-[X] Aim for a specific Heroic Spirit: Counter Guardian EMIYA
-[X] Change the summoning location to somewhere other than the cursed park: The shed in your backyard

Any last words (Choose one)?

How do timelines work in this quest? I have doubts if it can actually work, but unknown01 has a point

Also, @Random Tale is it okay for plan format in servant specifics?

You can put it in a plan format for servant specifics.

Normally, you wouldn't be able to summon EMIYA, but in this case, you'd be having Shirou use a few drops of his blood for a catalyst, and hope that the compatibility summon works out.

Also, side note, your family doesn't have open access to that shed anymore; after maxing the financial damage track, the house had to be sold, and your family is living out of an apartment in Fuyuki. You can still go and summon there, but you'll have to get in, summon, and get out before the new residents wake up.

Oh shit!

Something ridiculous that should be valid.

Dioscuri (aka Pollux & Castor) have an extremely simple catalyst of a constellation in the sky, and are bullshit strong, but will only answer a summons from those seeking safe voyage on a journey.

Our goals are "survive this mess" and secondary to that "make sure it doesn't happen again".

Edit:
They also qualify for a wide variety of classes, so no danger of getting fucked over there.

...well, that's likely to end up with the Grail interfering. Continue the attempt if you wish, but it may not go as you hope.

Huh, can we summon a Servant in our apartment then?

Assuming any of them can cast hypnosis, doing so is trivial.

Still say we are best off grabbing King Arthur. Avalong and abundant mana make her a right beast of a Servant.

The reason I'm wary is that it seems too easy. Feels like a trap option.
Honestly, remembering one of the Bad Ends of the VN, I wouldn't want to summon Art.

At this point she is still seeking the Grail and that could backfire on us rather badly.

TLDR: Art is obsessed with her wish and could go bad for us.

…you do realise that any servant we summon is most likely going to want the grail, right? There are some rare oddballs that don't but by and large any Heroic Spirit willing to be summoned as a servant does so for the chance at a wish.
Arturia has some prior knowledge and is positively inclined to Illya so will likely listen to reason.

EMIYA wouldn't want the grail, but trying to force temporal shenanigans seem unlikely to go well.

Exactly, Servant like Kintoki (who is actually a good enough person for me to not worry about him seeking the Grail) or EMIYA (Who outright doesn't care about the Grail and, you know, he would actually want to stop both Gil and Kotomine) are what we need.

Artoria Pre-character development is outright obsessed with obtaining the Grail, to the point where in one of the Bad Ends of the VN ends up with her killing Shirou (after they had already declared their love for each other), I know what you have to do to obtain that ending, but that just proves that Pre-CD Artoria isn't trustable when it cometo the Grail's destruction.

Were she Post-CD Artoria, I would say yes right away, but she isn't and I know about Iri, but even with that, I'm not sure she is trustable.

So, what type of interference is the Grail likely to do, in your guy's opinion? I'm still down for trying to summon the constellation, but from what the author said I'm assuming it'll work out somewhat like Angra Mainyu himself did when the Einzberns tried to cheat the system.

Maybe it will only give us one of them? it may also attempt to twist them from the Grail...
