I think that it's better for us to eat memory of a person that was good in their life thus using their memory as a fuel to understand good, especially of an old person who's course was runned , that way we are giving that person a chance to leave lasting impact through ourselves.
 
What is defined as precious?
Could we eat a horrible memory that dominates someone's mindscape? Like a traumatic or tragic incident.
