[X] "A noble cause. One that you're willing to fight for, I expect?"

[] "A noble cause. One that you're willing to fight for, I expect?"

You regarded the woman here before you. Luvia said that they didn't have a wish during the negotiations but Matou seemed to have her own plans. It seemed things weren't all well in the Lancer camp if this goes on. But for that man to cause this much distress, you felt that it would be better for him to stay missing.

You didn't have a fond experience with him after all.

Still...

"A noble cause," you said with a cold smile, "One that you're willing to fight for, I expect?"

Sakura didn't look away and nodded, "Yes."

"Well then... Considering our alliance, you'll have to wait. Because I'm not giving up on my wish," you said as you turned away from her, "When the time comes, let's have a good fight, Matou."

"You... What is your wish?" Sakura asked behind you.

You paused before facing her. Unlike Luvia, you won't lie to her, "To meet with the Dead."

"But unless you use the Sakatsuki's power, you won't be able to perform such a miracle. Even then..." Sakura said with a frown.

"It's what I have been fighting for this past 10 years. So if you're truly committed to using the Grail... You'll have to go through me," you told her with a sharp tone. You turned away and began walking to the exit, "I have information on the foes you met last night. I'll meet with you later."

You left the woman there as you went back down. You had your work cut out for you.
.....
....
...

"So you mean to tell me you know of this new foe?" Luvia asked as she had her cup of tea.

"Well, you might have caught sight of them during our fight in the amusement park," you pointed out with a raised eyebrow.

"I may have..." Luvia said as she glanced at Sakura.

"It was when Miss Kirishima was possessed. She was accompanied by a blackened Lancer," Sakura pointed out with a nod.

"The thing is, from what I know, these Servants only emerge when a normal Servant dies. The magical energy they release upon death is siphoned and split between the blackened and Miyu," you explained as you looked their way while Chiyome set down your coffee, "A handy cheat but now it needs to be reined in."

"If that's the case, then why can't Miss Kirishima control them?" Sakura asked you with a frown.

"Because they do not recognize her as their Master," Luvia said as she held up a finger, "It's just that simple."

"She wasn't the one who brought about their existence here. A girl named Saijyou Manaka called them here upon possessing Kirishima's body," you replied as you took a sip while Assassin stood behind you, "Controlling them isn't on the cards, at least not anymore."

"Whatever is making it possible for these creatures to exist... It must be a powerful thing in itself to go as far as to make a mockery of the Servant System," Luvia said as she crossed her arms.

You blinked. She didn't know the half of it. Just remembering the Beast and its scarlet form was enough to give you nightmares for the years to come.

"If such a thing were to be true, then we might need some extra help," Luvia said as she glanced at Sakura. The purple haired woman's eyes widened in alarm at that.

"Wait, no. I can still handle this," Sakura said as she got up.

"If it's a problem of this scale, having an allowance would be wise. I'm sure Rin wouldn't mind lending us that woman," Luvia said as she crossed her arms, "It's what Shirou would have wanted, Sakura."

"What is this about?" You asked with a raised eyebrow.

"We have an... Acquaintance that should be able to help," Luvia said as she rubbed her chin, "Given the War, we wouldn't be able to focus on resolving the issue so it would be wiser to enlist special assistance."

Someone who could take care of the Blackened? That would be really useful, you're not going to lie.

"Whatever your decision could be, so long as it doesn't get in the way of the war itself, I'm fine with it," you said as you gave Sakura a look, "We want a fair fight in the end after all."

Luvia blinked before glancing at Sakura whom simply looked down her feet. The blonde sighed and pinched the bridge of her nose before standing up.

"Will you excuse us, please?" Luvia said before turning to her companion, "Sakura, my office, now."

Sakura stood up and bowed your way as the two of them left. You were left at the dining table with your coffee as you took a sip. It was a good brew...

"It's delicious, Assassin," you said as you glanced her way.

"Thank you. But, was that really okay? Letting them go?" Chiyome asked you with a frown.

"It's their problem," you sighed as you shook your head.

You glanced at the living room to see Ayumi trying to make herself as inconspicuous as possible. She was really trying not to get your attention like you were going to eat her or something.

You took another sip of your coffee and found it empty. Yeah, that was a really good brew.

Ironing Out

[] Sit patiently for Luvia and Sakura to return.
[] Ask Assassin for another cup of coffee... Maybe some breakfast too. Her cooking is really delicious now.
[] Stand up and wander over Ayumi's seat. Say hello to her, maybe you can lighten her up.
[] It was almost 8 am, you shouldn't let Miyu sleep in. Knock on her door and call her out.

AHHH! Hans! What are you doing?
I feel like that was a string of bad decisions that will bite us in the ass.
