I'm pretty sure The Third doesn't work that way? It works with manipulation (and other stuff) of already existing souls, not ones that have long since passed.

Granted, it's not like Hans is privy to this sort of knowledge.
The Third Magic's basic benefits of true immortality and unlimited magical energy, even without the other stuff, are such a worthwhile prize that you can usually just wish for the Third and achieve what you would've wished for on your own, later.

You didn't forget
[] Lie through your teeth.

"A miracle," you replied as you met her gaze, "To witness a miracle, that's why I've been hiding them."

Miyu stared at you from the side.

"There's someone I want to meet but i could only do so using the power of the Grails. So I wish to study them as any Magus would," you said as you met the Edelfelt's gaze, "You know what I'm talking about, Miss heiress."

"I never took you to be that sort of man," Luvia said with a narrowed look.

"The Grails are important to my research. I have no wish to ask it save for extracting it's functions for my purposes. And especially since using the Grail as it is will kill Miyu, I won't be doing that of course," you said with an equally steely look.

You didn't need to research the Grails. You already have an end purpose to them. That was to create a Holy Grail War that would truly grant you the blueprints of your sister's soul.

It was another War to be fought, certainly something the Edelfelt and Matou would want to stop.

"Interesting. Even when you could just skip your research altogether with the Child of God's power? Their Wishcraft capabilities rival that of the Fuyuki Grail," Luvia challenged you.

"Like I said, I won't harm Miyu. I simply want her capabilities. That's what I want, not her life," you argued with a shake of your head.

Luvia judged you before closing her eyes, "I see. You would fight Seven Wars for your Wish?"

"I would seven more if that's what it'll take. I have nothing malicious planned for the Grail so can we end this farce?" You scoffed as you squeezed the arm of your chair.

Luvia smirked and leaned forward, "Eager, aren't we? But then I would take this as you willing to join hands with us?"

"Your purpose is to make sure the grail doesn't fall to the wrong hands. I agree with that sentiment and I'll help you win... So long as I get to take it in the end. You monitors have no wishes after all," you figured as you leaned back on your seat.

"That would depend on the Grail's decision... Isn't it, Miss Sakatsuki?" Luvia said as she crossed her arms.

"You shouldn't count your eggs before they hatch, Hans," Miyu warned you as she met your gaze.

You smiled at her and nodded, "Apologies."

"In any case, we cannot leave her unattended for tonight. Do we have your aid for tonight's defense?" Luvia asked with a raised eyebrow.

"Assassin will help you. But I can't come in account of my injuries," you said as you looked down your arm, "You'll have to keep her safe. Because if you don't..."

"Sakura won't let you down. You've fought well these past two weeks, Mr. Derrinsmith. Leave this battle to us," Luvia assured you with a nod.

"Right," you said as you got up, "Guess I should return to my room then."

"Um!" A voice cut between through the room.

You turned your gaze upon the girl beside Miyu. The older girl winced and clung to the younger one in fear as she met your gaze.

"I-I'm... I'm sorry," Kirishima Ayumi said as she lowered her head. She looked up and withered almost immediately underneath your gaze.

You held the spot where Beowulf hit you with a spear because of her. It ached slightly...

You Didn't Forget

[] You gave her the most pleasantly bone chilling smile you could muster and said, "It's fine."
[] "Apology not accepted, girl."
[] You're not equipped for this. Just ignore her and head back to your room.
[] "Good to have you back. I'm looking forward to getting to know you better," you said with a nod. You should just take it as water under the bridge.
[] Write in...

I'll probably abstain from voting. I am pretty salty about what she did, but she was panicking at the time, she didn't intentionally use the command seal it just reacted to words said in panic, and overall it's too soon to label her as a person. But despite these factors, she still almost killed us.

[x] "Apology not accepted, girl."

Full lecture mode Hans.

After nearly dying at least twice and getting coerced to joining Ophelia, Hans should have words to say about it.

Girl needs survival instincts fast or she's going to get herself and the people around her killed as she already has.

Girl needs to learn. This is sternness born of worry.

Be the adult here and let it go. Besides Berserker's already gone so she really can't be any more of a threat unless she somehow contracts with another Servant.

This is how people don't learn anything and continue to make the same mistakes again and again. Be the adult? Adult's punish when children do bad things. Girl needs a stern talking to at the very least.

The girl no longer has a servant, she needs to hide in a corner untill manaka takes over and kills us.

Considering how she clearly feels guilty enough to the point where she can barely even look at Hans, and still deliberately went out of her way to apologize to him, there's really no need to. Her guilt's already doing most of the work.

Thinking about it, is that the only way Manaka can cross over? We know she can influence this timeline even without a host, even bringing servants from her timeline into this one, so wouldn't she want to arrive at her full power instead of limiting herself like before? Not an immediate concern, but something to consider.

Trying for a write-in since I want to reprimand her but still show understanding that she probably had a reason for flipping out.

[X] "Given your rant towards the end, I assume you have some bad history with magi? I can't say I'm not angry at you, I would be dead had things gone even slightly differently, but if you did have some traumatic experience I can understand why you wouldn't react well to waking up as you did. Just try to work on keeping calm, most masters would have reacted very differently than I did."

EDIT: If this is too long, I can shorten it to the first two sentences.

I like this compromise personally.

I didn't consider that... she might come back as Ayumi to give us a chance to be the victorious hero of her 'story'?

She said we'd gotten the last help she'd give after she transported Hans, so I don't think she's interested in jobbing.

A hero demands a worthy villain, and we've kind of set ourselves up for a re-match with the Beast and its mother. Handicapping herself by possessing Ayumi again doesn't really seem in her interests, especially since she got smacked around by Ophelia while doing that. Odds are good that she's going to step up her game and give Hans, if not her best, then at least a serious effort. She's not invincible, even at full-power, but victory will have to be earned.

EDIT: She might have to possess Ayumi after all, but we should probably keep the other possibility in mind.

We already tried our Faux Pandora against the beast, didn't we? and all it did was drive it back, if we're going to have to fight that again what can we do?
