Anyhow, I'm honestly a bit surprised Knockout doesn't have any intrigue skills/his intrigue is so low. While I know it's not his forte, to have survived for as long as he did while being a potential threat to Weaver is... commendable.

Knockout was helped in that he wasn't really into The Game with workplace politics, and mostly spent his time trying to win the war. He might have liked the idea of being Hordak's second, but he wasn't going to become a sycophant or backstab everyone between him and the position to do it either. That and he's pretty tough, and some of his cybernetics are a result of Shadow Weaver not being particularly careful in the type of missions she gave him now and again. Not to mention he was well-liked enough by most of his soldiers that they were invested in keeping him alive.

From what I understood, it was a more a matter of him surviving for so long because he wasn't a threat.
I dunno... I would think by simple virtue of his presence he would be a threat.

When You think about it, he was around since The Horde became a thing. Which means, that he was around for all those years without screwing up (or at least not so badly that Hordak ever saw fit to dismiss him).

Which means that he was always a competent alternative to Shadow Weaver. So Hordak would always be able to threaten to install him as a replacement. Whereas if he wasn't around, Hordak wouldn't have anyone to replace Shadow Weaver with and thus threaten her.

(Sorry if this is kinda crap, was using Speech-to-Text, but you get my point).

Also, speaking of knockout, I'm thinking we should maybe have entrapta Forge him a new set of armor or replacement limb. Not only would it make him more effective as a soldiers (perhaps restoring him to his glory days), it would also show that we value him (unlike Hordak) and thus secure his loyalty.

Edit: Well nevermind about the first part then lol

Diplomacy wise, I'm thinking a few key factors:
-Engaging with Bright Moon now is liable to backfire. Catra is MAD and that means that whatever results happen she's going to interpret unfavorably.
-Not engaging with anyone means letting Shadow Weaver make her moves unhindered. That's not a good plan either.
-Mermista doesn't want to be involved until we can truthfully assure her that we aren't going to invade Brightmoon, anything prior to that is going to be a pain.

So...where to?

The most important one short term is plumeria. They're a major bread basket and likely know more about plants than the rest of the kingdoms combined.

I'm thinking maybe take two diplo actions?

Send Catra to Plumeria to secure the bread basket and fix things with Adora (probably with help from the one Princess that can be considered semi-therapeutic).

And send Scorpia to Brightmoon. I feel like she'd be great at going "You fucked up and owe us" without being antagonistic about it/causing Angella to lash out. Also helps that she's technically a Princess, who not for nothing Glimmer intended to deprive of the kingdom that's hers by right.

So, yeah, I think that Scorpia is our best option for getting reparations and diplomatic concessions without unintentionally provoking Brightmoon. Scorpia is just the kind of person that it's difficult to be mad at/lash out against, and can bring political weight to bear - we should use that to our advantage.

And then we can use our third action to train the Gang/start pressing them into shape.

I think we should send someone we truat to brightmoon. If we can show sparkles mom we still are willing to work in good faith? That could be ...useful

That would pretty much be Scorpia, then. I don't trust Entrapta to handle diplomacy and Catra going to Bright Moon... would be a grand gesture but very liable to end in screaming matches.

For the social action I'm thinking we spend time among Dryl's people? Establish ourselves as a fair Empress, and maybe give Catra a bit of mental stability since people are liable to be grateful to her (something... well I doubt she's experienced it much, if at all).

Actually, what happened to the Picnic from last turn?

Anyhow, for Entrapta actions I'm thinking get first ones tech since we need it for a lot of things and it's basically a force multiplier that's useful to any situation. And the Dryl festival for the reasons I've already stated, and to hopefully restore the bonus that Dryl's people would typically give towards industry actions (the flavor texts describes them as down-trodden and worn out).

As for industry... probably fortify the fright zone border, for reasons I've previously stated.

I don't think the people of dryll are going to be fans of Catra. We also recruited Entrapta to the horde in the first place.

We could hope they don't know that. I have no idea how much they know about what's been going on with their government, frankly, but it must be very disconcerting to live in Dryl right now, going from independent to Princess Alliance to Horde to Crimson Empire in something like a year or two, maybe less, depending on how much time occurs between episodes.

Well I think most of them are sleeping the day away for the forseeable future. I'm not sure the average citizen knows or cares who runs the show as long as they can take a damned break.

I doubt they're aware of that.

I imagine that as far as they know Entrapta agreed to work with the Horde cause she thought it was right (though I wouldn't be surprised if they all realized SCIENCE had something to do with it), only for Hordak to take advantage of her naivete/deceive her.

They know what kind of ruler Entrapta is, and probably just flat out blame Hordak/the Horde.

Out of curiosity, if we're doing the New Order Speech for our social action, could we give it to the gang while broadcasting it to the rest of Dryl?

You can definitely use the wargear (Horde tech) upgrade option to get rid of this knee problem and remove that negative trait he's got for the bad knee. That's in addition to the general wargear upgrade. And if you use the First Ones tech wargear option, well, Entrapta was able to build Hordak a set of armor that, at the very least, stabilized his degrading condition. Suffice to say, what Entrapta could make going all out with some First Ones tech wargear would be impressive, and make Knockout Very happy.

Ok giving wargear to Knockout should get rid of any lingering loyalty problems he might have and make sure none of the gangs can get the jump on him just because they are younger and don't have a bum knee.

DC: 70 Strategy

[ ] Gang Military Reform
-The gang's disorganized, fractious, and disobedient nature needs to come to an end. Catra has bigger goals than to merely be another boss of the Crimson Waste. Thus it's time to reform the gang into a proper military organization: instilling proper military discipline and training into them to make them an effective and reliable arm of Catra's empire.
DC: 70 Strategy

[ ] Fortify Strategic locations in the Crimson Waste.
-In order to secure her hold on the Crimson Waste, it seems advisable to fortify critical locations, such as water and food sources.

-Catra must be picked for this action.
DC: Intrigue 50

[ ] Promote Horde Desertions
-As Catra is more than aware, almost no one likes living under the Horde. There's a significant opportunity to cause desertions from the Horde and to the Crimson Empire, resulting in an influx of trained soldiers.

Vote 2
Dryl

Pick 2 Actions
-Entrapta is available to be selected for one action. When assigned, she will use her relevant stats for the rolls.
-Any action not assigned with a character will receive a +0 bonus. Though they are beaten and disheartened thanks to the traumas of the Horde's occupation.

DC: 70 Magic and Technology

[ ] Build Anti-Teleportation Device

-[ ] Use 1 unit of First Ones tech.
DC: 60 Magic and Technology.

[ ] Full Wargear Upgrade (Horde Tech)
-Now that Entrapta has access to her facilities and robotic assistants, she can make a full set of wargear consisting of arms and armor more easily.
-[ ] Write-in characters the wargear is for.
DC: 40 Magic and Technology

[ ] Full Wargear Upgrade (First Ones Tech)
-Now that Entrapta has access to her facilities and robotic assistants, she can make a full set of wargear consisting of arms and armor more easily. With the addition of some First Ones tech, she could create some truly marvelous equipment.
-[ ] Write-in characters the wargear is for.
-[ ] Use 1 unit of First Ones tech.
DC: 70 Magic and Technology

[ ] Robot Advancements
-Entrapta has learned a great deal about robotics during her time with the Horde and studying Darla. With time and resources, she thinks it might be possible to improve the Empire's robots beyond even the robots she made for the Horde.
DC: 80 Magic and Technology

[ ] Crimson Waste Algorithm
-Entrapta is confident she can program an algorithm similar to the one she uses for Dryl for the Crimson Kingdom. This could help make management of the Crimson Kingdom more efficient.
DC: 70 Magic and Technology

[ ] Organize Dryl Festival
-The Dryl people were badly beaten down and disheartened by the Horde occupation. A festival might help brighten their moods and improve morale.
-[ ] Write-in what the festival is celebrating.

Vote 3
Industry

Optional Event Vote
You have the option of triggering events. To do so, actions must be taken from the Crimson Empire and/or Dryl action pools. Any characters available from those action pools are available to instead be used for an event for a round. Thus they must either be used for a regular or an event action, not both.

[ ] Explore Fortress Ruins Event
Catra was run out of the ruins by giant robot scorpions, but the ruins offer a potential bounty of First Ones parts or even a new fortress from which to control the Crimson Wastes from.
-Triggers Fortress Ruins Event
-Requires 2 actions.
