[X]Meditate: you need to focus on this disturbance.
While Certainly not the most out-there omakes... It's still out there.Hidden Lives, Hidden Hearts
Across the Galaxy, it is widely spoken of that the Jedi of the Old Republic live in isolation from the Universe in their ivory towers in their temple, separated and in deliberation over who in the Galaxy needed them the most.
Civil, dignified and patient always ready and always prepared for the next crisis at hand.
Whoever wrote that for the Republic Travel Guide needs to have a lightsaber shoved firmly up their ass. Because that is not even remotely true.
But the things the Universe at large seems to forget is that Jedi are also people.
And that they also...have their own lives and hobbies.
Some like Aggruva, like to do things that suit their personalities, cleaning libraries, writing books and collecting books, spelunking into the lowest and deepest levels of Coruscant, finding a Rakghoul infestation from the Old Sith Wars and nearly causing the largest pandemic in recent galactic history, and being the narrator for several noted documentaries on the Republics Golden Age.
But other's lives are not as open as some, and their true thoughts and feelings in life are hidden just beneath the surface.
Who knows...Maybe you've seen them?

Hidden Honor, Hidden Light
(Barriss Offee POV)
"OHH SHIT!! I'm GOING TO BE LATE!!" You said as you ran with the large bag filled to the brim with e-books, styluses and an old leftover Dex's Diner takeout box.
Finals for the Satele Shan University Medical course were without a doubt, the hardest medical exams in the Galaxy, even discounting the wartime shortages of doctors and surgeons meant that the Exam itself was even harder now.
Even with the war your free time to study was limited, you wanted to quit once the war started, to focus on learning how to heal with the force.
But Master Aggruva stopped you.
-------------------------
"Master...I have something to tell you? It's important." You said about a week before finals.
"You're in a relationship with an older man who is on the career path and he's having second thoughts about your relationship due to the war and you need relationship advice." He said not even looking up from his book.
That was oddly specific, and not exactly what you were looking for, you and Pelleon were very happy with everything in your relationship, career path or not, you've always found a way to make the best of certain situations in your relationship.
Even if Master Luminara is rather oblivious to it even as its right in front of her.
You shook your head. "No master...I'm having test anxiety."
Aggruva looked up from his book, intrigued by what you had just told him. "Test...anxiety, you never had this during your initiate years...or your early padawan years...Barriss what is going on?"
"I am...working on my Doctrine, in medicine...without the council's approval." You said calmly.
"I see...Satele Shan University, only Yoda knows because he has to pay for Tuition." Aggruva said as if he expected this sort of thing.
"The University does not know I'm a Jedi." You said.
"Oh...oh shit this a scandal waiting to happen," Aggruva said. "Why did you not tell them?"
"Because I wanted to live life like a normal person for once, not some crazy girl who lives in a massive cult temple and be treated as an outsider like we are...nearly everywhere!!" You shouted. "I just wanted to be normal for once in my life."
Aggruva stood up and hugged you. "I know what you are thinking, this burden is something we can barely hold, and that for once in your life you wanted to see how everyone else lived...to see how you would live without a touch of the force."
"Sometimes I wish the Jedi never found me." You said.
"So do all of us at one time...everyone thought that same feeling at least once in their lives...even me." He said calmly.
"Do you think I would be who I am if I wasn't a Jedi?" You said.
"Of course you would be who you are...just because you feel the force does not mean who you are has changed. You would have found yourself helping people, jedi or not, you would have been a fine young woman Barriss. I know this..and one day you will too." He said.
------------------------------------------------------------------
You threw out the garbage in your bag and looked outside the homeroom. "I can do this...force or no force, I can do this."
You looked down at your lightsaber by your side, while lethal weapons were illegal, you had left it on training mode, hence the loophole.
Informing your Professor and Teacher with Master Aggruva had taken a great deal of effort to pull off emotionally. But you had done so, prepared and were ready to earn your doctrine.
"Now class, the test is 3.5 hours long and the simulation surgery is 1.5 hours, beginning your preparations...and may the force be with you." He said calmly.
Time passed as the force calmed you and the students around you...each movement a symphony, a song and ultimately a triumph.
You exited the room to a small group of people that waited for you, Master Luminara was dressed in Casual clothing, the kind a Mom wore when visiting her college student child.
Master Aggruva had looked like he had escaped a lecture hall after being hounded by several professors about his escapades.
The Final Master was Yoda, whose wallet was lighter, the chair he was in was a rental and he beamed with pride.
"Congratulations Barriss," They said. As you smiled and left to let the success burn in your soul and for one brief moment, forget that the Galaxy was burning.
"Thank you…" You said calmly. Out of the corner of your eyes, you saw a young man, with stubbles of a mustache growing on a handsome face.
Using your knowledge of the university schedules you positioned yourself to be swept away into the crowd of students and let yourself get swept away from them.
You had one more person to thank.
--------------------------
(Aggruva POV)
You looked out of the corner of your eyes and saw two people hugging each other, then embracing a man a bit older than her, but you smiled at the force of light radiating off of her.
Do you think it is wise to allow this Aggruva...after all this time? Yoda spoke through the bond you shared after living so long as allies.
Yes...because I trust her to make the right decisions in her life, Jedi code or not...because if we forget that we are people, we're no better then droids. You said calmly. Need I remind you of the other examples...Jocasta and Dooku were an Item for a long time, Qui Gon and Tahl...you were not blind to them...why should you not accept this Yoda, our lives are hard enough as it is, let them have this happiness, it reminds them of the life they protect.
"Can I get out of this now?" Luminara said, looking annoyed at Yoda and yourself. "I hate being out of my robes."
"A Jedi's life is full of sacrifices...Luminara, Sacrifices both big and small." You said.
"Agreed to this..I did, more doctors we need." Yoda responded.
"I hate both of you for this...next you're going to say you spend your free time helping Jedi get out of the temple to have sexual relationships." Luminara started sitting down.
"Gamble many of our colleagues do." Yoda said.
"Who knows what the Library of the Republic wants me to do these days." You said.
The Mirialan master groaned as the elder masters started laughing. "Luminara, you need to learn to lighten up one of these days and care a bit more than your frosty exterior makes you."
Luminara facepalmed.
----------------------------------------------
(Pelleon POV)
"This is the best grub in the upper district?" You said calmly looking at the booths, the counter and the rather lively establishment that was...Dex's Diner.
"Yes Gilly it is the best eatery in the whole damn sector now come on, and try to enjoy yourself," Barriss said as she dug into a burger and fries along with a milkshake.
"I thought you would have had a fancier place in mind honey." You said stroking your chin as you started to eat your fries.
"I tried to eat at a "Finer" establishment as you say but I threw up over the side and caused a three-hour traffic jam, causing my Master to go into a rage and throw a waiter into a dumpster." She said casually.
"Oh...but why Dex's?" You said.
"Because Dex is a friend of the Jedi, and that is a compliment we give lightly, we help out when we have the time, he gives us information." Bariss said calmly.
"Uh...so what happens after dinner, My place most likely?" You said.
"Yes..unless you can pass as a Green Jedi, they wouldn't let you pass the front gate."
And so you chatted and laughed and enjoyed the life you had, and for a brief moment forgot the war and acted like two people in love.
AN: What's this an Omake about the lives the Jedi don't let the rest of the Galaxy know about. WITH Barriss and Pelleon...I will not let this Ship down without a fight!!
Yeah, because you near critfailed in the force... She's in a bad place right now.
If she even wants to be a Jedi anymore. The force is powerful she might be able to leverage it to walk again.
