No, he's an occasional bartender at "The Loose Freighter", a dive of a bar in a rundown area of Coruscant. He started doing it on a whim 90 years ago, and every once in a while he needs a break from the peace and quiet (and galactic affairs) of the Temple.
That and he gets first crack at the Corellian whiskey that occasionally comes in.
He helps out around an orphanage. The children especially like his bedtime reading.

I mean, I feel like it could be canonical, in a certain slant, without being crack*? He's a fairly empathic guy, really, and he might well see this as a chance to get a feel for how the people he seeks to help are doing.

We have the healing talent force healing Padawon which was bought in character creation and even with their greater talents no one else has studied a force based healing power. Given that the hut is the person that we are here to rescue and he is noted as injured I feel that going there is the best choice in character. As a bonus It also reminds Anakin that the Jedi do have healers which might influence his decisions when his nightmares of Padme dying start up to look for the light side for answers.

While I'm usually all for backing up our clone buddies, we do have that healing ability and the mission ultimately is Jabba's kid, I don't think we have much choice.
