The Drill That Will Pierce The Darkness! (Gurren Lagann X WoD)

You will be the first to admit that construction work has helped you bulk up considerably. You were a fitness nut in high school, and constantly carrying around heavy materials only helped. The few nights you spent in bed nursing the pain of overworking your body was worth it in the end. Now, you were kind of everyone's go-to when something heavy needed to be lifted or carried. You were that strong at this point.

Yet the monster that was once James completely overpowered you.

...At first.

Then something...weird happened.

You felt this...power, for lack of a better word, well up inside of you. A green light shined across the entire alleyway, stunning James with its brilliance. You didn't waste the opening. You bent your legs inward and kicked him hard in the chest. He flew off you and hit the concrete, surprise written across his face.

With little ceremony, you started punching him.

Repeatedly.

Like, you're pretty sure you hit him so much that his face started to warp beneath your fist. He tried to run away a few times, but you were always there to stop him. You weren't going to let a monster like this get away from justice.

By the time you were done James had stopped breathing, his legs and arms were broken, and his chest was caved in. You stared at the corpse for a few minutes before walking back to your car.

You only realized what you had done when the next day came around. The entire night had left you in a fugue of questions and uncertainty. What happened last night? Did you kill a monster out of a horror movie with just your fist? What even was James anyway? Did you kill someone last night?

Those questions swirled through your head the entire way to Starbucks. And now, here you are, walking your way home through the various pedestrians in Downtown Dallas. There was no shift today, so you had the whole day to go over what happened last night.

And, as you approach your small home, you still aren't sure exactly what happened. The answers you do have are either completely nonsensical or are logical but get blown out of the water by what happened last night.

In the end, you can only sigh while shaking your empty coffee cup. You check your mailbox while walking down the sidewalk to your front door. The mail is mostly either bills or "offers" addressed to you:

[] Name (Write in)

Shaking your head, you place all the mail under your arm to go over later. You take your key from your pocket and open the door:

[] Slamming it shut behind you before making a b-line towards the kitchen. Everything is quiet, just the way you like it. (You Live Alone with No Family)

[] You shout, "I'm home!" And hear the sound of little feet rushing to you. Your little brother and sister round the corner to see you. (You Live with your little brother and younger Sister)

Obvious reasons for choices are obvious.

In all seriousness, the second choice will be important for...well reasons you know if you know WoD. Family = Support Base and Possible Spiral Power Users, but a Vulnerability Supernaturals and enemies will exploit. No Family = Alone with no Support Base, but Supernaturals can't attack something really dear to you.
