well duh they were the "patrons of science" if you put it like that, but thats only because everyone else with the slightest qualification was dead. They were most certainly not inventing anything significant however. Sure, architecture woooo go nice pretty buildings! woo they preserved Roman knowledge and taught people! that totally makes them scientists and inventors lol . Oh wow they made the places that became the universities later on because of the books they preserved but did nothing with! good for them!

They also commended Galileo for Heresy for saying they were wrong, Nearly did the same to Issac Newton, and the only reason they were not doing so earlier than that was because they were the only real place to get a book in europe at the time. Not that they ever really invented anything or gave many people money for it.

oh wow its like I said the rulers nobles would not protect us in any way if the Church came after us became me saying the church wouldn't come after us. Someone knows how to read properly! (sarcasm)
there is a huge misconception of medieval ages lacking scientific development

what they lacked a lot was scientific implementation at grand scale and were isolationist
so that nice ecuation that would allow better architecture techniques?

it was only used at local level, but there were a lot of innovation, just that it never meet other inventions or knowledge with it could synergize

knowledge of electricity is useless unless combined with the engineering techniques to create machines to harness it
if we go to medieval times, funding universities and discovering America is vital

was the accumulation of richness mixed with the need of government centralization to manage the colonies what gave birth to universities

I am betting on this being Nasu-verse.
Considering the times listed and your previous avatar. I think we are in the fate universe.
Yes, this is the Nasuverse/Fate Series. If the summary isn't obvious enough, this is your story of how you reincarnated and eventually became a Heroic Spirit/Servant through creating your own legend. Of course, when you are born will change where you are born.

I'll change the title to Nasuverse/Fate when the next chapter is released, which should be tomorrow.

can you confirm which choices lead to which class too though? Just curious.

oh boy here we go, into the world where the more suffering we experience, the more powerful we become

[X][Profession] History Teacher (+?, Unlocks ? and ?)
[X][Gender] Boy
[X][Date of Birth] 1208 B.C.

Considering the date, the most likely place for 1208 B.C. is Egypt or Greek. I might remember wrong though.

Unfortunately, Ramesses II or Ozymandias has died at the time. Maybe it's for the best, who knows what he was really like when alive.

I think this YOB will fail, but no harm to try.

Since the voting influx seems to have died down, I'll close the vote tomorrow morning. Why tomorrow morning? I'm tired as fuck, that's why.

Jokes aside, I'll close the vote around

Probably should have revealed that it was set in Fate earlier.
Gender would be less of an issue.
And Date of birth would probably see more discussion :V

But half the fun would be in the discovery! The hardship! The-alright, I'll stop there. :V

Tbh, the gender equality thing isn't too big of an issue (depending on where you are born, at least). It's ironic how Nero was loved by her citizens and didn't have to disguise herself to be Emperor, while Artoria had to 'disguise' herself as a man to be King Arthur.

The dates will be revealed in time :V
In all seriousness, the dates aren't too important, besides setting up where your legend will begin... Thinking that over again, that actually sounds really important. Whoops?

Ok so vote change....

Don't care too much about gender then with the Fate universe, but I am really hoping starting this early will make us a demigod at the start or at least extend our lifespan to some degree.

@ItzNarcotic if we go with this please tell me we will have the time to set up some kind of infrastructure to make guns of some significance.

If you do go for gun salesman, then you will have time to make 'guns' of some sort. Though they probably won't be legitimate guns, but maybe more... magical guns.

They'll still be guns of course. Just not regular, physics obliging guns.

In the end, it all boils down to when you are born.

and if they are magical guns they won't lose any of the power physical guns have correct? Just cost magic to use or whatever?
