[x] Most of your friends' parents don't know anything about Digimon. Scratch that, most people don't know about Digimon. And now you've got a lot of Digimon to hide. Help.

As much as I want to solve the keychain issue, Sora is not a programmer to cheat the magic, and Biyomon evolutions have wrong powerset to solve it. So to more immediate concern :

Oh hey invisitext, so it seems Maki in "and I must scream" tropes when being a keychain. That's rough, at least now she's among friendlies...
There's more than that (whenever I see an obvious spot for invisitext, I go back and highlight the whole thing)
"I know this looks really bad, but..."
"Good to see some things never change."
"Oh dear Susanoomon she actually has a lab."

But, yeah, biggest, most immediate problem first. Maki's spent some time already as a keychain and we don't know that she's conscious in-character, so we shouldn't feel like a big rush to work on that.

Well, none of them have had a PTSD attack yet. Good sign. I think.

Actually, Sora IS a programmer. Its not even near Izzy's skill, but Sora could help if the difficulty is manpower based rather than complexity based.

...but she's more valuable as designated closest thing to a mature adult here. Including the actual adults.

[x] So. The keychains. Anything you can do to help with that?

The parent issue would take hours to resolve, and logistics for the Digimon only really come into play if we stay in the Analog World overnight.

Considering the time differential, I don't want to give the Dark Masters an entire year to gain control over the Digital World and grow even more powerful.

Actually...
@SeekerofDreams, could we write-in to suggest just opening the portal here, walking everyone through, then continuing the discussion on the other side?
The older DigiDestined would probably agree, they already had a bad conscience last time they didn't come with and now their old nemeses are back...

I think your teammates would object on the grounds that it's been months since they last went home, changed clothes, etc. They need time to de-stress.

Alright. A day or two of rest and recuperation...

We'll have to assume the world we return to will be under the absolute rule of the Dark Masters, then.

Also how we stand no chance against the Dark Masters
Nobody wants to confront them right now. Thankfully, the end-point of the portal is pretty much random ("Coordinates: ???") and the Digital World is large enough that we won't immediately be found as soon as we arrive.
And besides, for each hour we train here the Dark Masters get two months of training - in other words, any time-consuming preparations and training have to take place over there. We can't beat them when they progress 1440 times as fast.

the last portal opened was not at all stable?
We have about twice as many DigiVices to stabilize it. Plus, portal stability isn't magically going to be better just because we return later.

Please, go back to the update that last involved Myotismon. It will explain things to you far better than you'll ever be willing to listen to me.

And if you still don't get it, well, there's no hope is there?

Still going on a fairly important topic...

Because it doesn't matter what 02/Tamers says, there is no way to indefinitely hide creatures with that kind of appetite. People will notice when the grocery bill skyrockets.

Somewhat Conspicuous
As... interesting as it is to hear about Haruka's living situation, you can't help but think there are more urgent things for you to be worrying about. Such as the fact that, outside of this park, people are still running in terror of the giant monster beetle.

Admittedly, with there being no giant monster beetle around anymore, you think they might calm down eventually, but it solidifies something important. The people of this world are not used to Digimon.

So you probably shouldn't let all of the ones that followed you back to this world wander off on their own, and you probably should have tried doing something different with Mammothmon.

"So... what do we do when the cops show up looking for a giant monster bug?" Joe asks, voicing your concerns before you can.

"Can't we just explain that it's not really a problem?" Mimi suggests. You shake your head.

"Mimi, I'm not sure there's anyone in this world who would believe that." Maybe if it were Daigo to say it, but... you really don't want to rely too much on that. "Though... we should probably think of something to say. And find somewhere to keep all of these Digimon..." You really were not prepared for today.

Then again, you don't think anyone ever could be.

"They can probably stay with me," Haruka says. "They just need to stay out of the lab... and the kitchen... and... okay, I don't think my apartment has anywhere safe for Digimon."

"You know, maybe if you cleaned it every once in a while..."

"Shut up, Kaz!"

Palmon looks from one member of the older group of DigiDestined to another. "...These are the Sovereigns' partners? They're acting more like little kids."

"I'm not entirely sure they aren't, honestly..." While you're sure they've grown up some since their own adventures in the Digital World, the instant you put all four of them together... or five, as the case may be... this sort of thing happens.

This is probably why they don't all meet very often, honestly.

Daigo sighs. "Sadly, that's the best idea we've got. Maybe if Haruka takes the extra Digimon home with her, they'll decide to tidy the place up a little."

Rikuto pokes his shoulder. "Daigo... you do realize that there are Numemon in that group, right?"

"Yes. I have also seen Haruka's apartment."

"Right, good point..."

"I'm right here!"
"You're also as far from the neatest person in the world as it's possible to get while still being allowed to live in a building with other people."
"So, we've got those Digimon sort of situated..." You nervously try to somewhat change the subject from the state of Haruka's living space. "See, my parents know about Digimon. So do theirs." You gesture to Matt and TK. "The others... don't. And this probably isn't the best way to explain any of it."

"...Didn't Tai and Kari hatch a Digiegg once?" Kazuya points out.

Tai nods. "We also only kept it for about a day... and fed it mostly chocolate and cat food. And some sandwiches, but those were at Matt and TK's place."

"By the end of the day, we were out of candy," Kari adds.

"That explains so much..." Daigo shakes his head. "Right, well, you could probably pass off Gatomon as a regular cat for a while... at least until someone asks about the ring. Or the gloves. Or the purple fur."

"So, what you're saying is, I can't pass off as a normal cat to anyone who looks for more than five seconds."

"Means you'll be able to get around the city, though," Patamon grumbles. You're not sure, but you think he's still upset about you comparing him to a plush toy.

Suddenly, you hear sirens in the distance. Right... people panicking over MegaKabuterimon. You should probably leave soon...

"I suppose this means we should get out of here," Joe states, seemingly in just as much of a panic as all the people outside. "I can't get arrested, Shin would kill me! And then my dad would find out..." You consider pointing out that he'll be bringing home a seal that will eat the entire contents of his pantry either way, but decide that you shouldn't rub in the worse parts of his situation.

Besides, you don't have time for that. The best way to handle this sort of situation would be for all of you to split up and go home, so that you aren't seen as part of a group.

Though this does mean that you've got a few things to explain to your parents, once you're all home. You should probably consider how you're going to do that.

[ ] Just say that camp let out early because of a freak snowstorm.

[ ] Also say that Izzy has a Digimon now and the panic in the streets is entirely his fault.

[ ] So you sort of took a couple of trips to the Digital World today...

[ ] Just tell them everything. It's not like trying to hide things will matter when Tai can't even keep his mouth shut.

If NUMEMON might clean it up for her...*shudder*

Blaming Izzy is the important part though.

Telling parents just some : ...ok, weird but acceptable in a way...

Telling everything : MY BABY GOING TO A WAR!!, YOU ARE GROUNDED FOREVER!!

Just confirmation, did everything include highly possible future fight with dark master?
