I can understand why you would want to separate Engineering (building bridges, erecting camps, constructing siege engines?, ...) from the applied knowledge of how to besiege a walled settlement. But I fear this will make Engineering such a specialized skill, that we are never gonna level it. The thread is probably gonna go for the new Siegecraft skill and leave Engineering to a subordinate.
No, not on my watch. I want my Via Atella!!

I though the voting system change? (we can vote for multiply plans.)
If the make friends plans win I will preffer training or repairs over Law.
We can vote for multiple plans, but if you want to do that, you have to vote for all of them in one post.

Also, hey, apparently you can now make tally by task or by block, and it will work normally with approval voting. Nice.
Adhoc vote count started by agumentic on Jul 29, 2019 at 12:47 PM, finished with 543 posts and 65 votes.

My luck is awful... The day after this quest comes off hiatus everything happens and suddenly it's three damn weeks before I even get the time to log into SV again. And I missed three votes. Gutted.

[X] Plan Love of the Legion and various Studies

This isn't exactly what I would have wanted in a plan, but it's close enough. The most important thing for me is that it actually includes 'Brotherhood' as a Personal Action. Frankly, I'm a bit shocked it didn't get picked as one of the actions after the Siege of Nola and I'm even more surprised more plans aren't including it here.

We've done well so far to make Atellus respected by the legion, and many of the actions and plans put forward in this vote will do a good job in maintaining and even furthering that. But to actually make the legion love him requires more, it takes a connection that can't be fostered by competence alone. Atellus is 'The Tribune' to the Legion but until the Brotherhood action (or something similar) is taken and Atellus interacts with the men in a more personal, less aloof, way the love that a commander needs to truely know a Legion is theirs won't take form.

While we're in the fortunate situation to have gotten a headstart on Cassianus because we're already established in the Legion, we should seek to build on that and turn the respect of the men into something more rather than simply maintaining that.

[X] Plan Make Connections and Study v2
[X] Plan Publicola
[X] Plan Publicola Plus

Missed Plan Make Connections and Study v2 before, voting for it now.

Telamon could I ask that you make this slider box on the Character Sheet a bit bigger? It's so small for the amount of info in it that it can sometimes be a little frustrating to try and read, especially on the Stats and Skills tabs.

Something like this is much easier to deal with.

I had literally no idea I could do that, so...sure.

Right, so I've gone ahead and made a discord server. If you want to talk about Rome stuff or pick my brain in real-time, just go over there. Hopefully it'll be a decent place to ask my certain questions without cluttering up the Quest. I'll be adding the link to the OP and the next update as well.

Oh nonono. Telamon you have no idea what you've done. Discord is a terrible thing to bring into a quest, because it splits the participants in two, the planning in two, between those in the discord chat and those not. This a horrible mistake.

I'm not shitposting here dude. Its a terrible fucking idea, but you don't have to talk my word for it, go ahead and see what the thread traffic looks like in a few weeks. You'll believe me then.

That's just baseless doomsaying. I never seen a popular quest stop being active because of a discord and with all of the unpopular quests end up with little traffic on the discord and every one of these discords has gotten less then half of the active thread participants involved in it.
